Me too ! I am KCMO born , raised and residing so it makes me happy that Adam is giving KC it's due in the Disney story. Yes, Adam we residents do refer to it as KC. GO CHIEFS !
Having grown up in a small place not unlike Marceline, and watching every motion picture Walt was ever involved in, I carry memories and a large debt to him. Greatness achieved and remembered, No one is perfect, but Walt came close.
As a member of Thank You Walt Disney, thank you for showing the studio again. The building has been saved and is stable. The organization is not a Disney based organization, and is in the process of raising final funds to bring the studio back to life. Thankyouwaltdisney.org has all the information.
I love Marceline! The Walt Disney Hometown Museum and the properties there are wonderful tributes to Walt Disney! The ladies Kaye and Inez that run the museum are special ladies. Everyone needs to see Marceline and support the museum.
I love the sound of a train rolling by. That is the soundtrack of my childhood in the Sheraden section of 1960's Pittsburgh. It's fitting that that plaintive wail is in the background as you visit the childhood home of Walt Disney. Talk about nostalgia overload. Great vlog Adam, you and Cold Eee nailed it once again.
My Granny's house , where I went every summer of my childhood, had a train directly behind it and the sound was overwhelming at first. I got so used to it that it became incredibly comforting. Her next house, where I live now, has train tracks maybe 2 blocks away and it's just as comforting. It's funny how we adapt and even grow to love things like this .
I live in Salina Kansas, roughly 4 hours away and had no idea that Walt Disney was from Kansas City. I’ve even been to Disney World twice. Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the Vlog
goodoldhol more stuff I didn’t know. Thanks for the info. I just recently learned that the Evel Knievel museum was in Topeka Kansas. And I’m not a sheltered person. I’m a Natural Gas Pipeline welder do traveling is what I do. 😂
I visit Marceline EVERY April. That's my Birthday present to myself. I LOVE Walt Disney.I stood next to the Orginal tree ( while it was a big stump really because it was hit by lighting and dying). And it took an hour to find a spot in the barn to say Thank you to Walt Disney for ALL the magic and memories. I just Love Marceline So Much. And of couse ALL THINGS Disney.
I run though this town about three times a week....I am a Locomotive Engineer hired out on the prior Santa Fe railway out of San Bernardino CA. I transferred to Galesburg Illinois in 2003 and my regular run goes from Galesburg to Kansas City and goes right through Marceline Missouri, right past the Walt Disney museum train station....Very nice work ..I love your vids ...
@@VSpectacular I totally agree...I have said this to many of my Conductors I work with...Amtrak stops at Kansas City and the next stop is not until La Plata Missouri and vice versa....It is a long stretch between stations and would greatly benefit riders as well as the town to have a stop at Marceline....I think your local and state representatives could petition Amtrak to stop at Marceline....
@@davehughesfarm7983 I didn't know Santa Fe Jct had a cam..Cool... I think there is a cam in Ft Madison Iowa and in Galesburg Illinois....I start out if Galesburg and run through Ft Madison, La Plata Mo, Marceline Mo and onto KC. I used to run out of San Bernardino down mountain grade territory on the Cajon pass , our steepest and longest grade.
Born and raise in the Kansas City area, was hoping that you would stop by Kansas City in your recent post of traveling. This is a great time this is a great city I hope you had a blast.
Gosh, Adam, you were in my neighborhood! Thanks for covering The Laugh-O-Gram studios as well as Union Station. Hopefully, one day, the studio will be a place folks can visit.
What a special town Walt Disney lived in and all the inspiration for all the characters he created and the buildings and the streets and everything that was modeled after this Walt Disney town. The real Main Street USA and the train he rode on. Thank you Adam and Co-d for showing us where it all began with Walt Disney.
I could watch anything ( w/ Walt in it or something to do w/ Walt ) Everyday . I wish i could of been Born back in 1910 . ( "Ugh" ) . I love the videos so far Adam & CoD . Be Safe Guys & WE will Catch you down the Road .
I have just watched your July 2023 vlog of Marceline. I immediately came and found your old vlog February 2020. I love to see the then and now. Your visit inside the Uptown Theatre blew my mind. The biggest comparison is how much weight you have lost since February 2020 ❤
I grew up in Marceline It was a great place to live in the 80’s I left in 95 to start my life Away from home It’s always nice to see stories about the town
I love the respectfully silent videography and true life ambient sounds. The intelligent, educational, and funny commentary is also great! Your insights and personal experience really add to your videos and I'm truly grateful that I get to see this because I'll probably never go, myself. Thanks for what you do! 💖🔥👍
I like how the caboose still has the letters A, T, S, F on it. For those who didn't know, the railroad was originally called the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe Railroad. Of course, that was because it began in Atchison, KS, went through Topeka, and ended in Santa Fe, NM. It is also significant because it has been memorialized by the song in the movie "Gibson Girls", with Judy Garland. Good stuff!
Me and my wife and 3 little girls thank of you as part of our family we can never a ford to go anywhere and experience such wonderful things we live our adventures thru you thank you so very much for all your hard work it's the Daly wooooooo so awesome
Thank you Adam for the awesome city of Kansas through Marcaline and all the history of Walt Disney and having Cody with ya he’s a blast as well very KQQL!! 😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This shows you anything can be attainable with focus and passion. He failed many times with rejection before his big success. Do what you love and it will follow through.
Awesome video! I made the pilgrimage to Kansas City & Marceline late last year I HIGHLY recommend it to all those who admire Walt Disney. I talked to the nice lady Kaye at the Walt Disney Hometown Museum & she had a few nuggets of Walt himself. Her father was friends with Walt & when he came to visit Marceline he stayed in their house since it was the only house that had air conditioning. Funny enough Walt & his wife stayed in her room! Walt & Roy had her father secretly buy the old Disney property in Marceline with big plans for it but unfortunately Walt passed away. She currently lives in the Disney family house in Marceline where the barn is. The old Laugh-O-Gram building in KC is pretty debilitated these days. Walt's daughter Diane Disney Miller gave the guy who owns the building money to keep it from falling to pieces. It's in a pretty rough area of KC to the point they think a lot of people wouldn't want to visit it. She told me she was trying to talk the owner into moving the building out to Marceline. The orange Mickey flag was a gift from Walt to Marceline & he only allowed it to be flown there & Disneyland. This is why they're allowed to sell it there. The Zurcher building on the right side at 24:10 is the inspiration for Coke Corner at Disneyland. We stayed in the same room as you guys when we were there! It was pretty cool & I still remember being up half the night from the freight train blowing its horn. Haha …thanks for the vid Adam it brought back a lot of good memories!
Wow! Thank you so much for doing this. And I loved the sound of the trains on occasion going by. It just adds to the ambiance! We fans all know how much Walt loved his trains :)
So incredible. Finally got a chance to watch this entire video and oh my goodness. Just fantastic.. totally got teary eyed a few times! Can’t wait to visit this place someday
Thanks for another enjoyable video. I love the quiet moments. No Mickey or Oswald anything ever happened in that building. They began the Alice Comedies there, which is the product they took with them to California to continue producing there. The rabbit (and subsequently the mouse) came years later.
I grew up in Portland, but spent a dozen or so Summers in Joplin (my mom's family came from there). I saw the hideout umpteen times. It hasn't changed much...
dear adam. i love your vlogg's i look forward to them you take me place's i can't go any more. when you say join me shall you me reply hell yeah he he.. thank you adam you are just awesome. take care and god bless you
Opening, the wall behind you has The " I s i s " theater and a Mickey head.....crazy. Thank you for this tour, it's interesting to have a visual of the "beginnings" of one of my favorite places in the world!
This was fun, many years ago we lived in a suburb of KC, Olathe, KS. We should have visited these pieces of history. Most of all I loved it when you talked about creating with a No. 2 pencil and a Big Chief table and the collection you collected and the small Mickey flag. Well done guys! No🤥 just 👍🏻 up!!
Fantastic...if I ever win the lotto im so going to make that poor old building a Museum ... Been to that train station a time or two I love the details and its so awesome that it has a childrens museum attached
Community projects like this are complicated. While the Disney company could throw a lot of money into it, it takes the people involved with the community to actually make it happen. You need the skills to actually build it, run it, and work with the people and the bureaucracy of the city. Museums are not easy things to do, unfortunately.
Thank you for taking us along on that secret path to look at Walt's office. I was four years old again. Those shots along Main St. USA were beautiful. And after the train passed by, you even caught the Sounds of Silence. Pure Magic! Good cinematography work Cody! Thanks you two!
FABULOUS, absolutely tremendous coverage... You guys did a great job... Adam, thank you for this super video and every one of them. No road trip would be complete without a train or two. Downtown, at night, totally deserted... EPIC 👏🏆🎊

In 2011 we been trough alot in the last 9 years I comment rarely, we appreciate the link to Super Enthused that feb night last year ... To your Father JW! Hope all is well lol so glad you came back in the capacity you have!👍✌🇨🇦
Adam, you should have stopped by my hometown of Chillicothe, Home of Sliced Bread, on your way from KC to Marceline. We are at the intersection of highway 65 and Highway 36 about 35 miles west of Marceline. Another great little town along Highway 36 with a museum showcasing the first commercial bread slicing machine, the best thing since sliced bread! More little towns in our area along Highway 36 are Hamilton, birthplace of J.C. Penney and Laclede, birthplace of General John J. Pershing. Further on East is Hannibal, boyhood home of Mark Twain. Thank you for your videos!
What a cool video dude. Excellent job Lovin every minute of it taking pictures of the TV 2 send to my Disneyland locals along with video. Well done my friend I'm in Kansas from Orange County I'm impressed and I appreciate you. Thank you so much for making this video
Hey dude! Thanks a lot for sharing all these stuff. You leave the opportunity to some of us outside the US to visit a great historical places we won't be able to visit ever in our lifes. Congrats and greetings from Spain.
Thank you Woo and Co-D...this was spectacular; I never knew, well enough, how some of Walt's inspiration came, and it was a pleasure to be in Marceline and share. At the end, Co-D being above a theater that looks like the one on Main Street Disneyland, topped it off.....why KC didn't or doesn't partner with Disney Co. to invigorate Disney's inspirational workplace is beyond me.....you two are great together; Thank you
Adam, I'm "T.POTTS"! I'm from KC,MO. and was inspired to visit Marceline after watching your previous Marcaline video. I signed my name directly above your's at Walt's Barn! 13:36
