As unsettling as this may be, I do think Walt himself would be impressed by these technologies, as he always loved innovative ideas and futuristic concepts. I’m also happy that Disney is finally doing something to recognize Walt, who so many have forgotten about. He truly put the heart and soul into Disney, something that unfortunately doesn’t exist too much in the company today. So many people don’t understand the impact that this man had on the world, and I’m glad he’s finally being respected for it, even if it is through the use of these technologies.
wHaT dO yOu tAlKs aBoUt?!?!? oF cOuRsE hE gEtS rEvIvEd aS A hOlOgRaM I just hope they don't actually transfer our minds into machines against our will...that would be horrifying tbh
Also, I think not many people knows hes dead because this one lady who worked at Disney and had a karen telling her anout the problem(don't know what it is). The karen said she wanted to speak withrhe girl's her boss, Walt, who is dead.
My worry would be so much the technology, but rather how they will depict Walt with said technology. Given that it is a guy that was pretty much FORGOTTEN (even to the company, maybe), we would only pray that the things he is made to say would be in spirit to his character.
I can definitely see a lot of CGI technology being used in that Walt Disney hologram. It’s kinda like the same technology being used just like from Hatsune Miku’s hologram concert.
It was only a matter of time. They predicted this stuff years ago with "Zenon: Girl of The 21st Century". It won't be long before we start living in a giant ring-shaped space craft and having our kids taught by hologram versions of their teachers.
It’s cool to see a holographic Walt Disney after 56 years of his death(December 15th 1966. Yet also disturbing at least! I don’t we’re ready for hologram museums or meet and greets with Hatsume Miku? The rest of the doubles(2020s) just sound bizarre if that does become a reality like MJ’s, Rob Kardashian Senior, and Prince’s holograms.
Yeah me too 😰 It almost feels like we’re bring death to shame Sure it’s hard to let go of the people we love and care, doing something like that seems off (a little)
Imagine WB tried to follow this idea and decided to brought back those like Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, William Hanna, Joseph Barbera, The (actual) Warner Brothers, and others as holograms.
I feel like Disney's going to start getting better. Sure, the last few years were a bit tough for them, but I just have faith that they'll come back up again! 😁
This ain't really all that shocking TBH. Wasn't there a concert that showed a hologram of Michael Jackson some years back? It's definitely a little weird, but Walt himself was always fascinated by technology. He'd probably LOVE this.
This is more shocking since they had to use really old footage, so that means it would be harder to do something like that with him, also they also have a tts of him
Yeah… Walt would certainly be impressed with some of the movies, rides, and technologies that have been innovative, but if he knew what his company itself has turned into, he’d be devastated. Especially when it comes to the parks, Walt wanted to be able to share storytelling and imagination with anyone. Instead, the company charges a ludicrous amount for parkgoers and has turned the Disney brand into a soulless and elitist empire.
The day they make him a physical entity in the parks, that's the day I'll be concerned. I mean a literal, physical version that can literally interact with you.
This is pretty cool not gonna lie. Walt was one of my idols growing up and seeing him “living” is insane. He’s one of the reasons why I’ve decided to become a creator myself, not with animation but by writing stories in book form. Having him as a hologram is a little uncanny though. But this also reminds me of the book series by Disney called Kingdom Keepers. I sure hope others have read the books and know what I’m talking about.
There was a small community run preschool that had a painting of a Micky Mouse and Disney cast on the wall. This childhood magic brought Walt Disney back to life for Walt see how his legacy got him, right before hand giving the preschool a cease and desist letter written and signed by Walt and his lawyer.
the first thing that came in my mind is Cave Jonhson, like imagine when they release to the public, the first thing he'll say is "Walt Disney here, founder and CEO of Disney, the best damn applied entertaiment company on Earth"
even if the idea of this could be worrisome, i think the idea of trying to educate new and old fans that walt disney is an actual person who had a life and dream is really inspiring. disney made lots of great things and despite being someone just "from the past" is heartbreaking and especially since many folks legit don't know that walt disney isn't just a company, but a real-life human that actually existed. still being cautious but still am excited about the 100-year anniversary exhibition.
Disney: Mickey, Oswald, we’re bringing back your father… The Brothers: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Disney: As a AI generated hologram. The Brothers: *Sobbing Hard*
I know it’s scary that Walt Disney became a hologram but it’s still nice for kids to meet him for the first time Thank you Walt Disney for everything.😍😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰we hope he rest in peace ☮️❤❤❤😇😇🌹🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️❤️❤️❤️
He’s not resting in peace he was anti semitic, racist and sexist he’s probably in hell

This news just made me remix that one Family Guy skit in my mind: Stewie: “Did they ever unfreeze Walt Disney?” Adult Stewie: “Ugh, unfortunately.” Scientist: “Welcome back, Mr. Disney.” Walt: (after watching this video, scared of what society has become) “Put me back in.”
This is the one person they can turn into a hologram without it being creepy and/or disrespectful. Walt Disney was quite literally obsessed with the future and he would consider this an honor
"We want everyone to know our company was founded by real people" sounds like an attempt to gaslight us into believing that Not that it isn't true, but it's hard to not think that
@@michaelmyers4577 Ah yes, I remember that. At the same time though, I’d rather have a show end while it’s still strong before it gets milked dry and ruined like many others.
"People don't know Walt was a real person" Proceeds to use holograms of him... Why not? Use pictures. Talk to the people who actually knew him and what he was like.
Yeah, what the hell? There are a bunch of historical documents about him, people would dig into them if they want to know what he is like. My favorite is Walt: The Man Behind the Myth, it always make me appreciate Disney's legacy more whenever I watch it.
