Today's vlog was a viewer request! We received a lot of tweets and messages asking about the Caribbean Beach Resort's current status with all of the surrounding construction going on. We take a look at the resort grounds and the construction locations. Although it is definitely loud in some parts, I do think that if you request a room in the more secluded areas you may be better off while all of the renovations are happening. We hope this helps those of you who are staying here within the next couple of years while they're building these new areas. Let us know what you think about the temporary food and bar locations in the comments below. Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

Hey guys. Another cool video, could watch you and Jen all day! I bought a mickey when I visited WDW and then a little Minnie, when we were at the resort I put them in one of the beds of our room. When we came back from a full day at the parks, they were sitting on our window ledge with a towel shaped like a love heart in between them. It was the sweetest thing. The housekeeping surprised us everyday. Loved those wee extra touches. Thanks for the video as always xx

When I was a cast member I saw some families put white boards on the doors of their rooms and asked questions like "What should I do at Animal Kingdom tomorrow?" and other guests could walk by and respond! That was a really fun idea I thought (:

We just came from Disney. It's actually the housekeepers that will place the stuffed animals by the window for display. My kids kept them on their bed and when we came back, they were all on display by the window.

I want to comment to say I finally found it!!!! This video was the first ever Tim tracker video I ever watched! I remember falling in love so much with Tim’s good humor, the goofy guys under the bridge. I was healing from a car accident and was looking up Disney videos to cheer myself up since I had never been! I’m so happy the RU-vid algorithm introduced me to two amazing people who make me smile every day🧡

We are from the UK and are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort this October. I've be rather nervous about it as it's our once in a lifetime holiday. We already know we will be in south Trinidad as they are the pirate rooms which look far from the construction and everything else ( which for us with a child with autism will be great, and her little sister will love having her toys watching from the window for her return) the resort looks a lot better then I imagined. Thanks for this vlog, it's put my mind at rest.

You know that bit around 14.07 where Tim was trying to work out where he was and where he was going, thats why I like French Quarter, smaller resort and easy to get around. When you were talking about people putting plushies in their windows, it reminded me of a story from the time I went to Disney World. I was pretty young and got a fairly large Minnie Mouse doll on the first day. I carried it around and one of the workers held it for me when I was getting my picture taken with one of the characters. They were very nice, but my young self thought they were taking her so I started to cry! After that we kept her in the hotel room and went about the next day of the lovely trip. When we came back to the room my mom saw that the Minnie doll was in the window without either of us putting her there. My mom kept saying something like, "Look, it's Minnie!" That confused me because I truly thought someone dressed up as Minnie was at our hotel room. It was something I overlooked back then, but now I can appreciate the little details like that the workers at those resorts put it. I thank them for these wonderful memory

Former CM here. Disney usually fills resort rooms based on capacity. So, for example, if 500 people book at Carribbean Beach, they fill Jamaica first, then Aruba then Martinique etc. That's not the actual official order, but you get the idea. Most resorts do this. So there probably wasn't alot of people staying there (Looking at construction who can blame them) so only the first "Tier" of resort rooms was full.
@Seroxm13
@Seroxm13 5 лет назад
But you can still ask for a room in Martinique, even if it's empty?

We always decorate our window! I usually bring a few plushes but my main thing is coloring pages. I color to de stress, it helps with my Syncope. I have a few old school Disney coloring books. I bring a folder filed with pages I've designed and colored. We tape them to the window :) We've gotten a lot of compliments and kids always stop to look at the fun art!

My wife and I spent out honeymoon at Caribbean Beach and stayed in the Aruba rooms and loved it! We were second off the buses from the resorts and second to last on so we didn't have to stay on the buses long. It was far from Port Royale but not to bad of a walk and was really beautiful at night time. We would for sure stay again next time we go.

This was the first and only Disney Resort we stayed at in all those years going to Orlando. It was Easter 1998 and my sons 4th b'day. When we got back from the parks we found a b'day cake and a card with all the characters signature on it. He still (19 years later) treasures this card. It gave us all a great Disney feeling and was a great surprise 💕

I loved my stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort!!!! I stayed in the Jamaica buildings and it was really quite and nice and I loved having the bus stop right there behind the building. Well, it was my daughter's 1st Disney World trip. And we only go to WDW every 2-3 years. But, a guy I used to work with called me "a virtual cesspool of useless knowledge," which I considered a compliment, since I seem to have stored more weird stuff in my noggin than most other people and I'm able to recall it. I could draw you a fairly accurate floor plan and furniture of the apartment I moved out of just before my 3rd birthday. That was 50+ years ago. Go figure.

HI Tim we are from the UK just stayed here this September at Caribbean Beach Resort (Jamaica area), 7th to 21st our first time staying at a WDW Hotel and loved it. Our first day at magic kingdom and guess who walks past us, yes the Tim Tracker doing a vlog on the preparations for hurricane Irma, I must say Disney did a fantastic job of looking after us during the storm, even with the storm and construction we had a fantastic holiday. This is my 11th time to WDW over the last 23 years, the first time with my wife and three children and this time with my wife and two grandchildren and loved every trip we've done...just to let you know the toys in the windows of the rooms are done by housekeeping, well they did ours which I thought was a nice thing for them to do. Well to anyone going to the Caribbean Beach Resort I would say don't worry about the construction it made no difference to our holiday at all.... ps..we wanted to say hi in the park Tim but you were busy vlogging at the time, hope to see you in the parks next time..
@margarethanson8330

Thanks for your tour, Tim! I always enjoy your take on these resorts, truly helps in the planning phase for a Florida vacation. House keeping arranges your stuffed animals in the windows. Also, if you buy the Pirate experience, or whatever they call it, they do some special things for the window. We paid extra for a water view room...if you do that, be sure your room is NOT on the ground floor because the view there is blocked by plants. Lots and lots of walking at this resort if you stay in some of the quieter buildings. Since they weren't there during our preconstruction stay, I think the picnic areas for each section are there to give an option to guests during the construction...but not very practical for Florida hot season!

We loved staying in Jamaica building 43 on the first floor, quiet yet easy to the bus stop, smaller pool on the island, and to the bridge to go to Port Royal when we needed to. Nice playground for the kids as well which is why we choose there over Aruba for a non pirate themed room in a non preferred section of the resort.

Hey Tim, thanks for showing us around the Caribbean Beach! I'd love to see more about the amazing hotels at Walt Disney World!!! FYI if you've never walked around the Dolphin it has one of the best pools on Disney property, along with the best coffee (at the espresso bar in the lobby), and an amazing (but pricey) breakfast buffet. I think the reason the one pool was empty is because it looked like that building was the closest to the construction, so Disney probably isn't selling those rooms right now. Whenever a hotel is undergoing a renovation they normally don't sell the rooms where you are most likely to hear or see the construction if they can help it.

Super helpful! My girlfriend and I will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for Food & Wine this Nov. So thanks for the update. Tho I'm pretty sure a lot of construction will still be going on when we get there. Hope to see you two! It's become my life's dream to meet you guys and tell the days viewers to pay that price lol

I really enjoyed this video, Tim. I loved getting to see that entire resort, and all of it's amenities. It's so nice that they have a buffet set up for their guests, and also a quick serve option for those in a hurry. It's obvious that they're trying. Though it's very sprawling, and would probably be a terrible walk to your room with luggage, I like the vibe and would consider staying here.

The theming is on point at that resort! And it's a lot bigger than I recall. I'd love to stay there sometime in the future

I pronounce it like the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. And this was a great video because this is usually a resort that I stay at when going to Disney. Thanks for the update Tim, and of course great editing as always Jenn!

We spent two weeks last month in CBR for our honeymoon and my birthday. We decorated our window with a Just Married sign!

I'm SO EXCITED that you vlogged this video! Thank you!! I was going to request the same thing and ask if you and Jen (and friends) ever stay on property. I stayed at Caribbean Beach way back in 2003 and I loved it! Please do more hotel property videos!!! I'd love to see Boardwalk, and Beach & Yacht Club if you are looking for ideas!!

This was cool, I didn't realize how expansive the resort is! Come to think of it, I really have no idea about the expanses of the other resorts too. It would be cool if you did more of these mini tours of the resorts haha. My personal request: Old Key West resort

we just stayed at the resort for my sons 5th birthday on Aug 5th in the Martinique building and the construction did not bother us at all. We loved the pool!

TY for your response For me at the resorts it has been non threatening. They must be "TRACKING" you! I am a senior from Chipman, NB, Canada and enjoy your ongoing posts for a couple of years now. Don't 'say a lot. You are both a lovely couple, a breath of fresh and great to video travel with in the parks and surrounding area.
