@@Digital111 its a port with higher resolution than the ps1 game. Nothing more, doesn't look like a true 128-bit dreamcast game. Its using around 3 or 4% of the dc power, just like the tomb raider versions
This graphics are incredible. For a PS1. For a DC game it looks like ePSXe with OpenGL mode enabled. Also only runs at 30 fps. Shit. P.D : I love this game on the PS1 though.
I never did pick this game up when I was buying tons of Dreamcast games right after the console was discontinued. If I remember correctly the main reason I never bought it was due to the price. I think it was around $25, which was pretty high for a DC game at the time. I remember getting Donald Duck Goin' Quackers brand new from Ebgames for $3.99. So to spend $25 it would have had to have been a pretty good game. I did have Wacky Races though and I really enjoyed that. From skimming through this video I'd say Wacky Races was the better choice.

As a kart racer, this game...isn't terrible? I guess that's a compliment, as nearly every Mario Kart knockoff is awful. So if your racer has halfway decent controls and doesn't stink up the joint, it will probably win an award for effort. This title is a good example of how third-party developers treated the Dreamcast in 2000-2001. They dumped a lot of PSX/N64 shovelware while biding their time for PS2 to arrive. The best ports took advantage of the DC hardware, such as Tony Hawk or Soul Reaver. Other ports simply raised the resolution and called it a day. So this is basically a polished PSX game, which at the time meant it was left of store shelves to die. Today, however, DC fans can appreciate it for what it is, provided that they don't expect the level of quality seen in, say, Ferrari F355 or Test Drive Le Mans or Hydro Thunder. I kinda wouldn't mind playing this, in fact. I'll have to hunt down a copy one of these days.

For a ps1 game looks gorgeous, but for a dc, the console which handle test drive le mans 24 hours and shenmue 2 as the best looking games on the system, its very poor. Around 3 or 4% of the hardware power is used here (only perspective correct texturing, antialiasing, 640x480p resolution vs the ps1 game at 512x240p, and faster loading times). But nothing that can justify this as a "6th gen game".
@@WestleyWolf not really, the emulator didn't handle well this game. Other channels like tech2dgamer or one like that showed the gameplay with music. Its just a nulldc fault. Redream handles this game better.
This game is using CDDA music tracks which nullDC has issues with and it's likely a ripped CDI version due to how long ago this was uploaded. Newer emulators like Demul support CDDA and Windows CE.
