I was there in November of 1984. I was 13 years old and it was one of the best trips of my life. This brings back so many memories. Just wish it had sound, or music or something. Thank you for posting this.
Author Joseph J. Madden Thanks. There is no soundtrack because I put music mixed sometimes with original sound. As the source is Super8, it is impossible to mute just the music (original audio and music are on one track) and so had to upload it silent to avoid copyright problems.
I was there in late July that year. It was just before my 3rd birthday. I have very little memory of it, I mostly only remember it as random images. I plan on going back this summer for the first time since then.
A trip down memory lane. Walt Disney World 30 years ago in movie. Filmed in Super 8 in Walt Disney World in 1984. Quality is bad because of the telecine done way before HD. But it is a trip back in time, when there was just Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. In Magic Kingdom, 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas was still there, as well as the Skyway. Back then, you were listening to a real cast member in The Land at Epcot, not a record, and double decker buses were drived around World Showcase. You will see all that. I don't say it was better. It was just another time and I want to share a bit of positive nostalgia.
I remember watching things about WDW on tv. I grew up near Disneyland and went all the time. Finally went to WDW for the first time in 2010 and it's great to look at old footage of the resorts. Thanks for sharing!
kelly hoyt Understand, but each time has its flavor. For example, Animal Kingdom is such a fantastic park. My only real complain regarding the past is the closing of Horizons at Epcot. It was all Epcot in one ride!
@@OlivierSanguy I miss the penny arcade . And one of my favorite rides I know will never come back . Is If you had wings . Im ok with the orher parks . I just think it was a nicer place back then.
It’s Horizons, a ride about what would be the future. This was our (my wife and I) Epcot’s favorite. Now, there is Mission: Space (which we also like).
