There he is. The great Walter Hill. One of the most underappreciated auteurs still around. Great style he has both as a screenwriter and director.

Walter Hill is the shit. SOUTHERN COMFORT is a lost classic

Well, Walter Hill isn’t correct about Steve McQueen not getting nominated. He was nominated only once for best actor in The Sand Pebbles. McQueen was a really good film actor who didn’t like dialogue and knew in film, the right look and attitude in a scene can convey a lot. Walter Hill is a hell of a good writer/director and his first 7 films is quite a good run. He got a little spotty afterwards but that’s not uncommon.

A suggestion: drop the music playing constantly during the video, it’s not necessary and it’s annoying.
