Waltjilpa Pulikutjarraku was written and recorded in Kintore in October 2020. The focus of the trip was to continue to build on the local music studio partnership and capacity building project between MacDonnell Shire and Red Dust and write a song with local kunka's as part of the strong young women's program in Kintore. Young women involved in the project chose the theme, the lyrics and the musical style for the song as well as the video locations. The song is about being homesick and longing to be back home in Kintore with family and is filmed in the beautiful areas around Walngurru.
