Correction, Walvis Bay was never part of German colony. Ever since it was established it was under the Dutch/ Cape Colony and then the British took over the Cape Colony. So when the Germans carved out their colony, Walvis Bay did not form part of it. It then became part of the Union of South Africa when it was created. It was only incorporated into Namibia in 1994. So there's zero German connection in Walvis Bay.
