WAM Proa Sailing in Aur Atoll, Marshall Islands 

This sailing canoe design is built by WAM (Waan Aelon in Majel) in the Marshall Islands as part of the GIZ implemented "Transitioning to Low Carbon Sea Transport" projectand. The WAM Proa is based on the Mini Cargo Ferry by HarryProa (Rob Denny). With the hump on the windward hull and the traditional sail it's actually a close relative to our yellow Proasis in Germany (see other videos on the channel).
This particular proa is owned and operated by the community of Tobal, Aur atoll. It offers emission free transportation and is an excellent fishing platform to feed the village.
This is built number 2 out of 3 so far. WAM is eager to build more.
