Greetings Mr. Wittmann, outstanding video thank you for braving the rain & snow to bring us this show, that gorget and it’s chain was “insanely” beautiful and in original box how does Walter K, do it? Really looking forward to upcoming SOS show, lots of buzz & folks talking about it, again thank you for posting. All the best, Jeffery Richards Collector
Mr Wittman you look identical to my great-great Uncle Georg Sieler from Chicago area circa 1900. My great grandmother was Elise "Lizzie" Sieler born circa 1855 in Schneeberg, Germany dcd. in Chicago,1883. Does any of this "ring a bell"????
Hi, Tom! Thanks for sharing some of the beautiful things you saw at the show; some great stuff here! I had to smile when I saw the shooting prize sword to the officer from Infanterie Regiment 110 since that particular unit both during the Kaiser time and the time of the 3rd Reich was garrisoned in Mannheim and Heidelberg, where I was stationed and worked after I retired from the Army. The old barracks on what remains of Patton Barracks in Heidelberg still have the wrought iron 'JR110' next to the entrances. 😎👍
Thanks Tom ! I think your watch is most interesting ! I cant place it ! Is it an early Patek maybe ? Shot in the the dark.. beautiful though thanks again.
Hello Mr. Wittmann, great video again. And thank you for your response on my email about my dagger, which created an idea to ask you to make a video only about forestry cutlasses- hunting daggers. What do you think?😉
Eric Goebig It would be beneficial for youngsters like myself, however, I do appreciate having the older generations around. Lots of great knowledge I’ve been given over the years. I understand many made that knowledge by themselves considering when they started hardly anyone collected but it’s always nice to hear from so called “experts”. The premium you pay though for their items is not so nice 😖
Josh Line of course not! I’d consider myself and others in similar positions to be junior collectors. We’re still new to the hobby and have lots to learn. Most people in and around our age demographic are young, in school, and usually broke. I’ve had a good start as I have 5k invested into the hobby thus far and a decent collection for where I’m at in life. On the other hand though, we are competing in a sense against more senior collectors who have much great financial wealth than ourselves and dictate the prices on items. It’s a hard market to get into but it’s fun and intriguing all along the way. We have time to learn and to keep the hobby alive and I plan on doing my part in every way possible :).
The very special thing about TR items is that every army dagger will be different because of type, maker and year it was made and of course quality of all the daggers and swords is just outstanding
seria bueno para el público de habla hispana, que no alcanza a comprender el ingles hablado, que coloquen los diálogos subtitulados en Castellano o Inglés, lo que haría mas fácil la comprensión del diálogo.
