​@beastofgevidan3602 she wasn't brainwashed by the darkhold. It corrupts, it does not control the user. Very different things. The Darkhold gives the user the means and power to get what they want, both Sinister Strange and Wanda talked about this. It is a heavy burden because you can't fight it, the more you have that power the farther you will go to get everything you want and desire. It is a self corrupt to the point it becomes a drug and any goodness inside of you dies leading you into your own madness. It is a dark promise. That is why each user has a different reaction to it and why some aren't as corrupted to the point of madness. Take Strange 838 or Agatha. Both of them used it but were not as dependent on it as Wanda and Sinister Strange. Agatha wanted power and knowledge, her curiosity allowed her to have the Darkhold the longest without going on a killing spree. Strange from 838 wanted to protect and win but when he realized what having that power to achieve that ment for others he was able to confess and allowing himself to face being punished. But Sinister Strange and Wanda wanted love and happiness, which are deeper and more powerful things and is easily twisted into selfishness. To compare Bucky to that is laughable. Bucky had no say any any of his own choices and his own anatomy and self awareness was taken from him for someone else's means to achieve their goals. Wanda wanted and was willing to used the darkhold for her own desires. All throughout that movie nothing anyone said to her stopped her mad desire to get it. She didn't care what she did or to who. Even her boys happiness didnt matter, only her own. It was only when she saw that the one thing that she wanted, her boys, saw her for what she has willingly become and were afraid of her was she able to gave up her own selfishness for a second of realization. Her dream didn't want her back. There was nothing more that the darkhold could give her to fix that. And that snapped her own of it enough for a few moments. But because she had nothing more she wanted in life she unalived herself. Both Strange 838 and Wanda realized the same thing, that they would never stop otherwise. That kind of power you to get everything is something you don't walk away from. Something or another would come along and spark that need for that drug of getting what you wanted again and they would fall back into using it.
