In the late 1970 and in the 1980’s and early 1990’s somewhere in Mandaluyong there was a Vietnamese Refugee Transit Center where I stayed in 1981 after successfully escaping from Vietnam. I am still thankful to the kind and friendly people in the Philippines who opened their hands and welcomed and supported us the Boat People from Vietnam.Salamat po ! God Bless !

What is the point of those white painted lines across the road? I thought it was kind of a safe haven for pedestrians to get across safely? Apparently not in the Philippines. I wonder whose at fault if a pedestrian gets hit? Or would a driver just pay a cop a bribe to deny anything happened?
The Philippines is a good country with good people, She is getting better and better, so-called observers do not understand everything but they thought they do. What a big joke it is!
