soul of America indeed. I've noticed more and more people these days saying "America has no culture." i've always thought that's nonsense. true American music like this is one of the deepest, most incredible art forms you can ever experience-people just don't know it.
What an amazingly talented and lovely young lass. The thought that anyone out there might be saying rude and crude things about you, or any of your friends and family in these videos, is genuinely upsetting. Unfortunately it's the blessing and curse of the Internet. Look at all the comments in German and Russian, showing how banjo music played by a lass in the Appalachians (hope I have that right) is reaching the ears, hearts and minds of people all around the world, and giving them happiness. That the same thing could result in cruelty defies comprehension. Truly hope Steve Martin sees your videos someday; the man knows a thing or three about picking and am sure he would be thrilled to see one so young with so much skill. Keep up the amazing work, Margo!
Well said . Everything you expressed within your comment I can only but agree with . There's no doubt about it , some people are strange , and often malicious . However we should always try to remember that they in the minority . Unfortunately there's no denying , that one fool with a pen , a spray can , or indeed a gun , can mess up a lot of others days . But isn't it funny how beauty , in all it's many shapes and forms , always outshines the bad times in the end .

I really hope that you defy all the awful things i've heard and seen about Appalachia. That you grow up and retain your spirit and joy in life. The world needs more people who haven't lost that spark. Pepole who haven't completly resigned to the bleak, dystopian nightmare that's creeping ever closer. People who can bring a light to the darkness.

I failed every music class growing up. Have no music talent at all. Love music, all types. When I watch this young girl, I think she brings out a hunger that my soul loves watching her search for something when she plays and that expression of smile and love when she accomplished what melody she was looking for..My favorite channel.

Love this! I got really hooked on Adam Hurt's version of this, which I play on my gourd banjo, but I never could understand that walk-down on the fourth string (in the A-part) until I heard this version of it. I couldn't understand why it didn't go all the way down to the open fourth string. All of a sudden the light went on! Thank you. Trying very hard not to be jealous of your skills, and (mostly) succeeding. Somehow it's easier when it's young people who appear to have born playing.😆🤣 Keep up the great work!!
