I'm torn between either the WNDRD PRVKE 41L or the Peak Design 45L Travel Backpack. Both of them look great, have you tried the PD, and do you have a preference? :)
Bonjour.

I absolutely love Wandrd's products. I was very impressed with the V2 of the Prvke 21 L bag I first bought in 2018 I ended up getting the 31 L a year later, Been using their bags for a few years myself and not have looked back on another bag since. I even ordered their 11 L Prvke lite version for daily carry. Great Review!
You're the reason why I got the 21L, absolutely love it. Wish I got the 31L though, but for about 2 years I was able to fit a c100, EOS R, a laptop, 5 lenses, audio, batteries and recording media. Fit much more than was advertised haha. But now I'm tempted to get this one haha. It's just perfect for my needs.
You have the 21L with 5 lenses at same time? Which lenses do you have? What about 17-40 and 24-70 and 70-200. Will they fit in 21L with the R and is there room left for additional stuff? Thx
@@FastYou-uu8ck here's what I fit in it for the most recent wedding I filmed. EOS R BMPCC 6k pro 35mm Rf Canon 24-70 f2.8 Canon 16-35 f2.8 Sigma 18-35 f1.8 (attached to 6k pro) 24-105 f4 (attached to EOSR with adapter) Rode videomic Case to hold SD cards Samsung SSD t5 MagicRig ssd mount MagicRig top handle (attached to 6kpro) I put the EOSR and unattached lenses in the cube. In the roll top I put the BMPCC 6k pro, rode mic, ssd and some batteries. I put anything extra in the various slots. I'm sure you might be able to fit a 70-200 if you swap out a thing or two. But I would go 31L. Probably not the most efficient way to pack it haha but it works for me. I wouldn't pack this way for traveling, not much protection. Most weddings I do are local to the bag is safe in my car. For audio, cables, chargers, more batteries, I just use a cheap Amazon basics bag I've had for a few years. I plan on getting a bigger Wandrd bag to be more efficient. I'll do a quick vid on RU-vid to show exactly how I fit everything.
Hey, the 31L would be better if you want to fit it under the seat in front of you. I never put mine there though and the 41L does fit on the overhead compartment too :)
I cannot decide between 31 and 41. I mainy want to use it for every day back pack plus travel back pack. I carry a lot of stuff with me but I'm concerned the 41L can have problems at certain (low cost) airlines and it might be a bit too big for everyday/office use. Does anyone have air travel experience with them?
I would pick the 31L in that case. The 41 is great for bigger kits or multiple lenses. I travelled a lot for years with the 31l was it was fine each time :)
Hi man! This video is straight to the point and very well made. Amazing quality and content. I was wondering, how tall are you ? I'm asking because I'm hesitating between the 31L and the 41L. As you are carrying the 41L in your video, that would give me an Idea approximately. Thanks!
I have used in normal rain and snow storm without an issue. The only time I used it in heavy crazy rain was in Iceland and I spend 3h and some water did get in in some parts but the water also got through my Gore Tex technical shell which means it was ridiculously hard conditions haha!
Hey, Thanks for review! Can't decide. Please help. :) Do You recommend to get "Essential Deep Cube" + "Essential+ Cube" as You have in this video? I am wondering if it is easy to access this second "Essential+ Cube" in top section. or more convenient would be getting only one "Pro Deep Cube", but having overall less customisability and space?
Thanks for watching !! I think if you intend to use both I would say the Pro Deep would be better then. I only used the two in case I really need to carry more than the Deep and also to demonstrate the space inside :).
@@OfTwoLandsThanks! I have one more question. I know this is workaround, but I like idea to have two separate cubes and use second cube only if I need more space for gear instead of having only one "Pro Deep Cube". Is it possible to roll down upper section completely while having "Essential+ Cube" inside? And Is it easy/ fast to access to this Cube having it there or every-time You need roll out upper section?
I have a question! I am debating between getting a 31L and a 41L. I have a canon 80D with a battery grip, an EOS R, a 24-70 f2.8, a Sigma 18-35 f1.8, a 50mm f1.8, a 70-200 zoom, a DJI Mavic Prod drone with batteries, a MacBook Pro, and a DJI Ronin S. I’m leaning more towards the 41L but I am not sure. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated!
I want a PRVKE but the 41 seems too large and the 31 doesn’t have a “deep” cube. I carry a FujiFilm GFX100 II with the battery grip and lens attached so the regular cube is not deep enough. I need about 6.5 inches of depth for that camera. Very frustrating!
From what I understand, the 41L is the only one that will take a Nikon Z9 or EOS R3 with lens attached. Whereas the Peak Design bags have the depth in smaller sizes. Something to consider.
I think the 41 should carry me, not the other way around :) Do you think the 31would accommodate the 6K Pro with limited accessories? So maybe one more lens, a few batteries, and the EVF on...
Haha !! The 6K Pro definitely does not fit with the EVF on in the 31L, it's barely enough with the Essential cube and without the cage. You need the Deep cube for the Pro and for this you need the 41L. If you want the 31L you will have to detach the EVF, which takes 5 seconds but can be annoying of course. It just because of the shape of the camera. Plenty of room in the 31l otherwise :).
I've taken it on the plane and I think it does meet the requirements of carry on items but not 100% sure depending on how full the bag is and the actual airline.
You mentioned that you can use the 41L as a carry-on, but does it fit as a "personal item" under the seat in front of you, or is that only the 31L that allows for that?
Greetings and thank you for this excellent and comprehensive review of the Wandrd Prvke 41L. As a landscape, product, and wildlife photographer, I have the Wandrd Prvke 21L, which I use for hiking with a smaller kit, a Nikon Z7 and NIkkor Z 14-30 f/4 S lens and accessories. For that small kit, the 21L works great! However, for a much larger kit (Nikon Z8 and NIkkor Z 180-600 f/5.6-6.3), I was wondering if you think that the 41L would accommodate that. The problem is that all videos I see of this gear only show cameras with lenses in a horizontal orientation in the cube/bag. The Nikkor 180-600 zoom is 13" long, without the 3.5" lens hood attached. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks !! I haven't tried the 300mm 2.8 yet with these bags but I have used the Sigma 100-400 with no issues if that helps to compare :). They have the dimensions of the cubes and bags on their site. Cheers
Hey, Yes, I just took my BMCC6K to Brussels for a few days in the 31L :). The cam + a 24-105. I just had the cage around it. It is a tight fit but it does work :).
Great review. I want to carry my Ronin RS2 along with my camera and a few lenses. Gimbals are pretty awkward in size. Do you have any idea if the 31 would be sufficient for that, or if the 41 would be better? I'm also considering the Lowepro 450 AW as it seems good, although it's heavier. Thanks!
I would also love to know, if bmpcc 6k pro (probably with a cage on it) with the sigma 18-35, a ronins rs2 and a couple of lenses would suit in 31l.. perhaps only 41l. I’m a girl 170 cm though 😬 or it’s not that huge difference in size?
Heyo mate, great review - super insightful. Wondering if you think a bmpcc 6k pro (in a smallrig cage, but no EVF) and 1 lens (sigma 18-35) would fit in the 21L essentials camera cube? Despite the enormous nature of the 6kpro, I'm looking to run the lightest possible bag/setup as I hike a lot in toasty Australian summer
Thanks !! I don't think it will. In the 31L cube for example you have to lay the camera flat if you have a cage on and it already takes quite a bit of room. I would still get the 31L as a proper camera bag. The 21L is better for mirrorless or photography in my opinion :).
Interesting that you didn't mention their extraordinarily dumb decision not to make the inner lining of both the photography cube and the roll top a bight colour- say bright orange. Why didn't they do this? In the case of the roll top the interior is like a black hole and in the case of the photography cube...well, most camera gear is black. If you were working in dim light then good luck with that.
Excellent video, definitely one of the best I've seen on these bags. Is the 31 really only 48cm in height? Looks bigger in the video and many pics out there. And did you ever ran intro trouble cause these bags have no load lifters?
Thanks a lot!! On the website these are the dimensions : 48 X 30 X 18 cm. It is a decent camera backpack in terms of size. And no, never had any issues :)
@@OfTwoLands Great to hear! I know the dimensions from the website but it looks more in height from here. Maybe it's the position (load) of the roll top? Would be cool if you could measure it if possible. And btw if I may ask: How tall are you?
Just received my 31L V3(?) Prvke. I've packed my gear and will be taking a trip in a few days. Thankful for your video as it showed the divider flap under the cube, and your confidence in the bag makes me feel better about the price. ;)
I have used the Thule Roll top bag for years, but wanted a better access to the camera gear than the side access and was excited to try the WANDRD PRVKE 41L bag. I bought one in MN at the National Camera Exchange. A week before my first trip with the bag I found that the seems were already ripping. I hadn't even had the opportunity to take it out for a day trip let alone an international trip across the world for two weeks. Because these bags are in short supply I am unable to get a replacement so I had to repair the seams myself. This is extremely disappointing for a bag that costs over $300!!
@@OfTwoLands my 8x10 is 310mm square and 100m deep and there is really no perfect camera bag for any setup. With 8x10 I would use 3 to 4 lenses, a light meter and film holders which are A4 in size and a reduction back to 5x7 or 4x5. Which model then would you recommend the 41l or another? Thanks for sn informative video.
Yes, body sitting on its side and the accessories around :). There's a photo of it in my 21L review I think :) I would still suggest the 41L if you have a cage or larger accessories alongside the C200 like a monitor etc.
Thank you so much! So I actually found that shot of the c200 in your 21L review. Super helpful! Thought about it for a few days and decided to purchase the original 31L due to the price drop (bag alone $163) and seeing how you were able to configure it. I feel good about my decision. I don’t travel a ton with my gear and can/will probably purchase the Pro+ cube so I can fit all my c200 accessories, 2-3 lens, mavic mini and Fuji x100v. Thanks so much again and congrats on the new addition to your family!
How big is the compartment that's separate from the camera cube? Looking to carry my drone and camera (just 1 Fuji x100v) organized at the bottom but still have a separate compartment that fits a full-size beach towel, sunscreen and sometimes running shoes. Do you think the top compartment of the 31L is big enough or do I really need the 41L version?
Wandrd is not honest about their volume though. I had the 41l version, it maybe good for camera use, but it is not very good for travelling. The room is huge, but you need to get their camera cubes (of course for separate price), otherwise the organization in the main compartment is extremely terrible. The actual volume is like 37l-38l. Honestly, after months of use, I don't even like the bag anymore.
I'm planning on getting the 41L with an essential deep cube and a separate mini+ for the top compartment. Can someone tell me if the mini+ will be too small for the top compartment or will it fit just right? Cheers!
Im going to Antartica next year with two cameras but Im having a hard time to figure out which size to choose. I'll travel with a 80D and a mirrorless canon camera, a travelsize tripod, on-camera microphones, most likely a wide angle, a normal zoom and at least one 70-200mm. Maybe also a 150-600mm. In your opinion, should I go for the 31 or the 41 litre? Im also in dought whether I should invest in a 150-600mm for this trip, whats your experience on focal length?
Congrats, such a beautiful place !! I went there with the 31L and it was more than enough, I prefer the 41L for deeper items such as my 6K Pro or monitor. I always had my cameras on me so the bag was purely just to carry lenses and extra gear. I would say yes for the 150-600, I regretted not having more than 200 on my trip. For that lens though maybe the 41L would work better since you can have the normal zoom and wide angle standing up to leave more room in the cube if that makes sense. Hope this helps!
@@OfTwoLands Thanks for your answer! I have to get there and back on the airplane, and be able to pack both cameras in the bag for the zodiac trips in rough weather. Thats why Im conserned by the size of the 31l. No dealers here in Norway so hard to test it out. Did you use the raincover or are the bags waterproof enough as it is?
Sorry if I didn’t understand, it’s because you talk about a “deep-cube”. Are the cubes the same in the 31 as in the 41 so basically you only have extra space for extra excessaries?
@@OfTwoLands just bought me the 31 L V3 with the photobundle. Basically because of you, love your reviews. I only want to cary a bmpcc pro with a tilta cage and two lenses. Hoped the cage would fit in the 21L though, cause the smaller, the more comfortable, but the info I get from the internet is that it’s a no go.
@@OfTwoLands only after this comment did I find out that the deep cube doesn't fit in the 31l🙁. I make my choice and I go with the shimoda Explorer V2. thanks anyway
@@OfTwoLands i got a Nikon z6 with the tamron 70-200 (ftz adapted). The 70-200 is my go to lens when I'm shooting events and I don't want to put it on or off every time. I haven't found a good camera bag yet. Can't decide between the 31l and the 41l - but I don't quite know, if the camera will fit in the 31l as well...
I use the previous dividers/padding and it leaves more room. I still think the 31L is a great size and I use it a lot for my kit. I prefer the 41 for my 6K Pro.
thing is the whole weight of the bag with load hold on a main zipper when bag is carry around, have a look at 8:52 not good... it's a matter of time when the zipper broke
