Note also the perfect balance in a practitioner this age. He's not doing any extreme balance positions, which is no recommend after late middle-age, but the balance he's showing is rock solid and exceptionally rooted.
You can also tell that, although the students are still developing, they are exceptionally well trained, and that's the main way you identify a great teacher. 🙂
Very nice! Notice especially the way he steps, and how little actual arm movemnt there is, because all of the movement derives from the waist, the sinking of the joints, and emptying the chest. Good posture is also critical to generate real power.
re: posture; he's a little hunched because of his age, but he's still showing the emphasis on posture despite the physical breakdown of the body that will happen to all of us. If you're younger, you want to make sure not to copy his posture exactly, but do it the way he would have been doing it 20 years earlier, with head and spine perfectly erect. "Like suspended by a string" re: the tai chi manuals.
