WANG WEN have forged an identity for themselves as the most prominent instrumental band in China. They have spent the past 15 years refusing to compromise on their sound, and it’s paid off; the band were among the first to play outside of China, and to support well-known international like MONO or MOGWAI.
This video clip is a true work of art. It contains more than 5000 hand-made oil paintings and is the result of 1 year of intense work by Jiang Kun and his team at the Lu Xun Art institute. The video for "The Last Journey" is based on their work "Paper Plane" and inspired by a cartoon of American writer Cristian Hovian.
