French documentary about master Wang xuanjie's school, made in the 80's / Documentaire français sur l'école du maitre Wang xuanjie réalisé dans les années 80.
This guy is very arrogant, just like Wang XZ. He does not know how other method of healing works and he said these other schools are misleading people. This statement by him is already misleading. Wang XZ has lots of unflattering stories that are not widely published. At 0.35 marks his movements are taken from Bagua. Their Friction Steps are also from Bagua. The worst is WXZ talk trash about Taijiquan and other schools. Slowly all these are forgotten and new students only have the glorified version of WXZ.
No doubt there was a part from Bagua, but Yiquan's founder never denied having borrowed from different styles. Wang was not arrogant despite being one of the greatest fighters that ever lived, but he was still human and had his flaws as such. Just give him credit for what is worth. A dead man cannot defend himself now that he is no longer with us. None of us are without flaws. Best wishes
@@hsiaoming1874 Those principles are not unique to Taijiquan as history is witness. Taijiquan should actually strive to put up better skills in fighting. At least, this man can fight but you rarely find a Taijiquan practitioner that can fight. Principles and energy theories are worthless in martial arts if the person cannot put them to practice in real life confrontations. Best wishes
