How the hell did she oversteer it's an all wheel drive wth?! She wouldn't experience that unless she released the gas then turn like wth?! Maybe gtr's just like to crash
i agree, still, very mild corners can be pretty darn dramatic at around 200kph especially in sportscars with less downforce, obviously it's not as wild as a twisty touge but if you think about how unstable a S30 can be at 220kph..
they make it 300kmh above so its obvios they did spent lot of work at the chassis the real wangan midnight club in 90s they have s30 also but all their car can run in 300kmh in a very long time they spent lots of money to build those monster machine even the cost of tunning are over the money they bought their ride。。
There are more manga arcs after the fc heck they skipped some stuff in the season they did. For instance they skipped an arc focusing on a FD driver set between the GTR and Supra arcs.
@@MrSilnev You mean Masaki the guy who drives the yellow FD I know him by the PS3 video game it's curious because in the manga his FD it's silver-grey not yellow like in the videogame
A lot people havent noticed that there is one arc got skipped in the anime which is the akasaka straight arc i wish that this arc is animated because this is the arc that connects the dots to both akio and reina's past. Yeah I said that because he and reina used to be neighbors but due to akio's parents divorced he moved away to yokohama when she tried to get the opportunity to be friends with him which technically is the reason of her source of lonliness in the series since then when that boy that she met revealed to be akio himself all along her feelings for him becomes much more apparant and wants to remain in akio side forever she is the only one who understands him. This due to the fact that both characters have abandonment issues. Which technically speaking they are destined to meet via devil z
wow this actually makes more sense now. I was having trouble understanding her situation. I thought she just was so famous/busy but lacked any friends and drove on the wangan to distract herself
True doe. The Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR32 and the Ford Mustang (maybe the GT also idk) have something related to each other, both cars like to hit/crash into something, for the Mustang, it's crashing into the crowd while the R32 is crashing into a guardrail. I'll also include that the Toyota MR2 (SW20 and the W30 spyder) basically in a nutshell crashes into literally anything because of the snap-oversteer.
The GT-R answers your questions, Reina. Because you realize the life you have isn't the life you wanted. It crashed to show you that you might end up having the same fate if you don't break out of it.
Nah man, the GTR's answer to Rena is actually different. It crashed as it gave up on understanding woman's feelings because it's so damn complicated lmao 😂
Love how this popped up on my recommended. The cool thing is that this was loosely based off a real life racing club and the blackbird was in fact the fastest street racing wangan car in Japan developed by top secret
This is exactly like my way to work on the autobahn in Germany every morning. You can drive 220 kmh on the Autobahn and then suddenly someone want to pass you. There is always someone faster than you.
Nakazato and Reina's R32: The two GT-Rs that loves the guardrail. (Rage your Dreams plays) Both crashes are caused by traction loss. (The R's tire skids sideways here, while in Initial D, the Tires are understeering with high speed.)
I was making fun of how she is constantly shifting gear in some scene, à la Fast & Furious, where they shift shift way to many times for dramatic effect . . .
No, she is just constantly letting off the gas, then flooring it again. The other 2 were doing the same, they all stayed in top gear, but they mostly press the throttle 1/2 down and only floor it occasionally. It's to conserve fuel and keep engine temps low.
I know it’s been three years, but there is another racing manga out there, it’s a spiritual successor to Initial D and has updated cars, but I don’t know when or if it’ll ever make a transition to anime.
That moment when the Z randomly switches from fender mirrors to door mirrors with no explanation halfway through the anime, but they don’t adjust the intro or outro appropriately
I just finished this series. Amazing imo. It actually made me think about choices and the consequences that follow the choice regardless if it is "right" or "wrong". I also wish for more closure, like if Akio and Reina got together in the end as well as Shima deciding what he really wanted.
"Drifting and autocross is for the weak. We only do maximum velocity." For all you Initial D fanboys hating this series, this quote sums up the philosophy of Wangan racing in the 1990s.
@@j0lel666 Well maybe that's because I know I'll never experience this, at least not very soon. The thing I don't like is that's very predictable, maybe a little less than drag, because you can crash but still - it's all about power and technicalities, not about the driver.
@@oxiosophy go play wangan on assetto corsa on 240z and lets see when you say it is not about the driver with that shitty 70's suspension and not being able to go full throttle anywhere stfu with your nonsense bullshit it needs good driver too
And basically the guy who has more money and better tuner wins so meh, it's more of a battle between tuners If I was into this stuff I would be a mechanic not a car guy.
We all have to get out there and find a job if we ever want to maintain a convenient and comfortable standard of living. But that never satisfied me. I feel for Reina. She had a job she liked, but it quickly began to lose its luster for her until she felt completely empty inside. Yeah, she had everything she wanted, but Reina lost sight of what she really needed.
I swear this anime sometimes feels like they didnt wanted you to watch it.... Also having a existencial crisis and wandering off somewhere mentally while driving at that speed....
Well, it's because: A. You're actually the main character B. The plot follows the anime for a short while then entirely focuses on the manga, just with you in it C. Well, the anime doesn't really explain much
@@sooryan_1018 dude the main character drives a car so hard to control it killed all its previous owners/drivers it doesn't need to talk about driving skill it common sense
I don't care what anybody says, this is waay closer to real life than Initial D. I've only watched Initial D but just from this clip I could tell that that's how a car is normally driven on a highway. I definitely drive like this when it's empty, but my speed is 120 kmph only. Leave the gas pedal, judge the road and press it again , that's what highway driving is all about. I swear, one day I'll watch all these car racing anime and try it in real life and crash. This stuff is way too realistic.
Actually true Finally i found someone who says this is more realistic than initial d Initial D has touge battles but not in many places in the world now, it is possible to drive like that. Gear shifts, car control in corners can be learnt from initial d. High speed driving and cornering at high speeds can be learnt from wangan midnight And mountain roads are not as empty as Initial D roads nowadays 😅😅😂😂 So initial d to only watch. Wangan is the more realistic one
Meanwhile if my Maximum Tune 5 car would be in the anime all you'd see a blue R34 rocketing up to those slowpokes at 300+kph while drifting around every corner.
I find it disturbing how well this syncs with Daft Punk's Track "Giorgio by Moroder" when played a minute ahead of this video. (the video muted of course).
what im amazed at is the amount of fuel these cars have, but the reason i liked reina's character a lot is because i can actually relate to her feelings
In real life, the RUF Yellowbird inspired a member of the Mid Night team to build his own 930, which became the Yoshida Specials 911. This later inspired the author, Michiharu-san, to create the Blackbird character and car for the Wangan Midnight manga series. So yes! In some way, the Blackbird is a reflection of the RUF Yellowbird.
