@@arifaarabi1138 It was hard to catch, but at the very end Lan Zhan became the 'lead cultivator' before he brought Wei Ying back to Gusu. It happened before Wei Ying "confronts" Nie Huaisang about the person who told the og Mo Xuanyu about the ritual to bring the Yiling Patriarch back from the dead. (Implying that Nie Huisang was that person, but not calling him out bc WY couldn't be bothered by that point lol.) It was easier to understand for those of us who read the novel, cause we already knew that's what happened.
Anyone else remember at the beginning when Lan Zhan says he "Doesn't touch other people" and in the end, he's constantly touching Wei Ying? Cause im living for how touchy he gets xD

The novel made Wei ying look like an extrovert while lan zhan an introvert. But Wei ying is the real enigma here while we all mostly know what happened to lan zhan. Such a contrast is probably I will never get over this. This is too addicting.
also the contrast of everyone perceiving Wei Ying as a rebel, a nuisance, a danger and a monster while he was just a young prodigy with a huge heart who made many mistakes trying to protect the ones he cared for at the cost of everything he had. Meanwhile Lan Zhan was perceived as the perfect disciple, a righteous man, a paragon of purity, self-control and values, while he was actually a very visceral and somewhat petty man who betrayed his own clan, disobeyed all the rules and was willing to turn against the entire world if need be for the man he loved, (and he' also a horny beast).

Por la ridícula censura que hay en China no pudieron mostrarlo explícitamente, pero sí creo que hay muchas pistas que indican que ellos eran mucho más que amigos. Y no me refiero solo a las miradas, que en su mismas son muuuy elocuentes.. Por ejemplo, lo de la diadema y WWX usando la túnica de LZ, los conejos, etc. En mi opinión intentan dar a entender que su relación no es la de una simple amistad.

Este video es hermoso. Lo he visto cientos de veces y me sigo emocionando y gritando como la primera vez que lo vi. Amo este drama, Zhan y Yibo son unos excelentes actores.
Can we stop and just admire how much they both changed for each other? (It’s more apparent after wei yings death/ resurrection. ) In the drama it’s more clear that lan zhan changed than wei Ying when we talk about it being through actions (examples; drinking alcohol / storing it for others (others literally just meaning wei Ying), taking lotus pods from someone else’s lake etc ) But wei Ying also changed a lot for lan zhan. Wether on purpose of not, his temperament is something he can control better. Sure sometimes he’s seen loosing his temper but I mean, can you blame him in those scenes? He is also seen analysing situations and remembering the gusu clans rules (about “not judging/ guessing the story without proof or without knowing the truth.” Its not word for word the rule but it’s something like that) Obviously he still teases lan zhan (and if you read the novel you know it always backfires on him 😏😂) but he knows where to stop,and he knows that there are rules that lan zhan won’t go against (like the one mentioned before) but he knows if it came down to it lan zhan would break those rules for him,but wei Ying shows he doesn’t want lan zhan to loose face so he doesn’t want lan zhan to break those rules unless he HAS too. This isn’t something past wei Ying would think,he’d be over the moon if lan zhan would break the rules for him, obviously now wei yings older he knows the importance of keeping a self image within the cultivation world. I kinda forgot where I was going with this. But anyway,I see a lot of people saying how lan zhan changed for wei Ying. And HE DID!! He changed so so much for wei Ying. But I think people sometimes forget wei Ying did too :) Anyway I love both of them they are adorable.
Wei changed because he lost his parents, who took care of him and more he changed when lost his beloved sister, ... and was careful about Lanzhans status also because his brother had warned Wei for (practicing evil spirits as others believed and all bad things are happening because of wie) which is not true only Lanzhan believed Wei 💖😍
@@kitsingam3550 Yess!! ^^ Wei ying changing definitely was to do with loosing his family / sister, however, he’s not being careful with what he does for lan wanjis status and self image for himself or anyone else but lan wanji, jiang cheng was saying those things when wei ying first helped the wens because he was trying to get wei ying back to his side (which fair enough,poor jiang cheng) But still, when it comes to public eyes wei ying couldn’t care less, after his revival it was definitely to do with the fact no matter what he did, he was in the wrong to everyone else, so what’s the point in playing nice? yet he did, unless someone really got on his nerves he restrained himself as he was around lan wanji lot , and people knew this, later on after he was revealed to be the yiling patriarch (after resurrection) he even tried to take the blame and said he tricked lan wanji , because he knew the importance of self image in the cultivation world, and how much everyone hated him, and linking to what I said in my initial comment , 15 year old wei ying would definitely not take the blame he would try to clear his name even if it meant sacrificing someone else’s image , obviously going through what he did he knows the importance, but if it wasn’t for lan wanji he would have gone down a darker path and would be less aware of social image / have less care for it.
