Dude, haven’t watched the vid yet. Hoping you and yours are ok, considering the recent disaster in your area. Prayers to ya, bro! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Now, I’m gonna watch. I’ll comment again after watching it. 👍

Wow, Aaron, you’re skills are insane. I’m a hack guitar player (drums are my natural wheelhouse), but my son plays guitar pretty damn well. We both love bluegrass, John Petrucci, and Eric Johnson (I’ll take credit for introducing him to those musical genres, and others.), but he’s the one who ran with it as far as learning guitar. You’ve got a lot to give, brother, and I love seeing it! Your humility and easy going nature are a perfect match with your insane skills. Looking forward to all your future vids. 🤙

Do the cromatic exercise slowly everyday,don't move your left hand fingers from fretboard until need to move to next string So playing 1st string fret 1234 when u move to 2nd string n play 1st fret just move first finger from string 1 keeping rest still on string 1 then move finger 2 while keeping other fingers into fretboard as they are this shall help you

As a musical tool speed is great to have, but I wouldn't want it to be my only tool. However, I don't have it at all right now, so that's why I'm here.😅

Liked and subscribed!! When you say, "That's a good one," 9:46 , is that an actual "lick" or line from something written? Or are you improvising and the notes are random?

Not sure I follow the question: which leg??

@@aaronjaxonguitar Like a classical guitarist or Trey Hensley during the Baggs guitar demo. Being right handed, while seated,the guitar waist is on our right leg and we hunch over keep the neck horizontal ish. Do we introduce tension that way, reducing performance?

I can understand the speed, wont i dont get is how its fast AND loud, in theoey the faster your right hand moves the lighter the grip which means quieter

Does it matter in regards to these tips whether you are playing Bluegrass on an acoustic or R&B arpeggios on an electric? I think not, but correct me if I am mistaken.

@@Larrymh07 it’s taught in a bluegrass context but I really do think you can apply these ideas to any genre that you want to build speed in. Thanks

Elixir Nanoweb Mediums
@Cut2Finish
@Cut2Finish 3 дня назад
@aaronjaxonguitar currently, I'm using stringjoy bright mediums on one guitar and elixir mediums on the other. I like the sound of the elixir strings better but I don't like the slippery feel as much. I was thinking about trying some of the Martin kovar flex core strings next. But I haven't heard any unbiased opinions on them yet.
@Cut2Finish
@Cut2Finish 8 часов назад
@aaronjaxonguitar the elixirs i had on my other D18 were the polyweb. They are slick but are a bit darker. I like the way yours sound, so I swapped the stringjoys for the nanoweb med elixirs and it sounds pretty good so far. The G run seems a bit easier on these. Thanks for all of the helpful videos. Once I get a little better, I'm going to join your bluegrass course.
