Am i the only one who thinks this is way too op? Like imagine a marksman in a late game, and now you can't even get close to them to kill them.

The new malefic gun is most suitable for Bruno. Imagine the damage from his 1st skill 💀. Clint on the other hand will no longer seen on higher ranks because of the rise of the DPS marksmen heroes.

Wow I suddenly got chills with Freya and Aulus extended range. I mean if they snowballed already its hard to keep them at bay😨

Quick Recap incase if anyone have missed anything from the video: 1) The increased Ranged effects is now permanent. The passive is triggered right after you buy it. 2) You don't need to hit an Enemy with your skill to trigger the passive. 3) The +30% penetration it gives cannot be stacked with Malefic Roar 's Passive. It's like a replacement item of Malefic Roar especially for heroes with Malefic Gun. But other items with Penetration stats can stacks with it. THAT'S IT. Thank you.

3:02 I remember hack then with Bruno, I can hit towers without getting in range so I always ued him. After I returned to ML a few years later it was patched though.

Burst hero can abuse the 30% physical pen. from malefic gun combined with malefic roar's 25% physical pen that's a total of 55% physical pen

There are some things we should notice before buying melefic gun Since this item gives 10% less unstackable physical pen, We shouldnt use this item for MMs that use melefic roar as one of core item. Like brody , Ixia ,claude or more But in some cases you can sacrifice 10% extra pen for extra range, Since you also exchange item space of melefic roar with melefic gun , and it also provides 10% movement speed (which is useful for many move and attack user mm like layla ,hanabi or mm that simple attack while moving like irithel ) This item can only(or mostly) exchange build slot of melefic roar due to its passive and its unusable with magical mm or fighter(for magic mm , pen is useless and for fighters , the range is low and pen is half) so even if it might seem fun to wonder about freya with more attack range keep in mind that it will only increase like 0.4 tile range (for comparison , brody ult range is 8 tile) and also It will make melefic roar useless on freya which is one of her core There is a similar item in hok thats only for mm and have pen , so i give my prediction that after launching this item will get costly. You can trust my info , 7 yr long ml player max stars 400(could have pushed till 2k but it felt like time waste) former global 7 edith , global 30 granger global 9 moskov

Attack speed+physical attack+physical penetration=WTF!

They should have made the cooldown 3 sec or just remove the cooldown from the old one. Having it all the time is a bit strong. I wouldnt mind needing to hit skills for the extra range, but they should have changed the duration and/or cooldown, instead iff removing it. Like idk, 5 sec off increased range after hitting a skill, with a 5 sec cooldown as example. That way you wouldnt be able to hit towers without any targets around, but be able to keep the buff most off the time

For me, this item shou.d be for a Argus. It increases Basic Attack range and has 30% Physical Penetration. This build is helpful for Argus to chase down enemies with low HP. Can't wait for Revamped Argus!

Great Dragon Spear should really deserve a buff too

this is a bit op for most mms (too op for layla), especially in split push situations (I have a feeling that layla will be part of the ban section if this will release on the OG server because of the range). they need a buff on the tower and base, either increase the range or increase damage reduction when a hero uses malefic gun

Just imagine hanabi jumping basic attack while your hiding under your tower

Melific gun was un existed in the item sections I didn't even bother buying it.

Yes. This item is barely used. Buffing it will actually attract users. Trinity and Crit build are the only builds right now. This item with its penetration can aid those builds. But will you actually not build either melefic roar or Wind of Nature as MM in exchange of this item?

Aulus might be feeling good because it gives +30% penetration , +40 attack and+20% attack speed so it's a good 2nd item for aulus in my opinion..

So basically Layla will be melting tanks on the late game from what? Imagine a basic attack range relative to pharsa's ult

It should be halved if a non-marksman users use it. Fighters can already abuse items that's meant for tanks

Now, Layla even has a longer range than the likes of Clint with that item. Just build that, and she outpokes any MM with that.

A Permanent Increased Range unique passive with no conditions is too overpowered. The Orig Server Malefic gun is good, but unpopular because players don't really try to be creative and just rely on Pro Builds that they themselves don't know why it's built in that order in the first place.

They should decrease the base's hitbox if they want to buff this item.

Attack speed change is going to be really annoying with this item. Especially with her revamp

They should've made all marksmen have the same default range.

I don't like this update 🥴 idk I just feel like it's too OP and Layla's special ability to reach turrets without minions wouldn't be so special anymore if the other marksmen could do it too.

It's a good thing moonton did notice the current malefic gun which is pretty usesless for basic attack mm. You cant even use a skill just to activate the effect because your positioning would be compromise. So it's pretty useless item that's why moonton decided to do that. 😂
