I swear it's like once your parents clean the computer you put another virus on it from limewire lol them was the days music wasn't so easy to find like today lol
Feels like this was 40 years ago but im only 37. Crazy how fast we evolve. Feels like it happens even faster the farther we progress into social media and tech
These vids do actually hit me in the feels sometimes. And the music by David Wise brings it over the top. I’m 36. Doesn’t seem that long ago while also seeming like an eternity ago. Did this stuff actually exist? Does the past exist? Did I exist?….. maybe not…
I still buy CDs and burn them to a laptop using Windows Media Player. I love cover art!! I wish hard copies were still the default because nothing stops these streaming services from deleting a bunch of songs just because they can. If you love content enough, it's always a good idea to have a physical copy.
Why did this just make me cry? I’m a very early 90’s born kid and I wish I could go back every darn day. Times were fun & peaceful. Getting older truly, truly does suck. Man! If I could only go back to embrace time and tread slower.
The music made you cry 😂 if it was playing some upbeat, exciting music, you wouldn't have felt so emotional, regardless of the fact that you miss those things or haven't seen them in years
I always get emotional and teary eyed to I would do anything to go back to the way it was before the internet, I was born in 1990, it was such a simpler, sincere time.
If I would have kept all my pokemon and yugioh cards in a binder and never touched them I'd be a millionaire. Unfortunately i had to be a stupid kid and do stupid kid things and ruin them. 😮💨
They cracked down hard on yugioh cards in my school. They may as well have been cigarettes. Teachers would shake you down for them and rip them up in front of you. It was wild.
@@richarddavis8863 I would have 30 downloads of movies going at the same time. I'd leave it going all day and come home from work and all movies were ready to be watched. 😀
I was a freshman in 2000 it was dance revolution, GTA 3,Vice City, and San Andreas CJ,The Sims 2, clear blow blow up chairs ,the clear color apple computers, and MySpace.
No matter what games come out these days, runescape is the ONLY one i find myself coming back to after months of not playing. Will always be my number one game.
"The term 'nostalgia' derives from the Greek words nostos (return) and algos (pain). The literal meaning of nostalgia, then, is the suffering evoked by the desire to return to one's place of origin. " Nostalgia is a pain addiction.
I remember a lot of this stuff actually probably every one of it! man has it really been that long?! where did the years go if only I can get them back 😫 you don't realize it until later but those were some of the greatest memories we all want to relive
The Lite-Brite really hit my nostalgia button, and i loved my CD Walkman with it's "anti-skip" technology that never worked 😂 i remember walking so slowly and gently while listening to my new American Idiot album so that it wouldn't jump and skip bits of the songs.
I’m sure it’s all sold on Ebay still. I’d just like to have all my hotwheels back🥲 dad gave them to a girlfriends kid he only ended up being with for 3 months until she took my hotwheels and disappeared 😂
Yeah, I'm gonna keep my kids away from the computer though until they're older, not letting them touch anything remotely similar to LimeWire. Also any of the Internet websites we grew up with. It's all mostly nostaglic adults that I lowkey wouldn't want my kids playing with online, Webkinz turned in a massive cash grab, the Club Penguin rip is mostly just weird adults roleplaying and online dating, RuneScape... not gonna talk about that one. Still a great game, not letting my kids play it though. FarmVille was and always will be gross. Yeah, definitely keeping my kids away from the modern Internet, especially the websites that are still up from when we were kids. 😅
@@wxl2562 I would love to keep kids off of social media in particular. It's bad enough that they don't have the age-appropriate culture offered by Claire's and Justice- they're destroying their skin barriers and lying about their ages to create accounts. Not enough influencers are talking at their levels to give them helpful advice. I'd be fine to show ID to get internet accounts, if it will buy the kids enough time to live life without worrying about this stuff. Thankfully, most of the physical relics can be purchased. You could even ask around on a local FB page for some nostalgic pieces and people might be happy just to give you whatever they have available.
The issue is you cant replicate the enviroment and sentiment of the times. We didnt have a lot of internet access, cellphones limited and most didnt get them till late HS.... this stuff was big because it was " state of the art" " new " at the time....truly was the best of times
RuneScape first came out when I was in 7th grade and my buddy in gym class told me about it. I went home and played it and was hooked instantly. I was also dumb enough to be led into the wilderness thinking someone tried to help me but they killed me, loled, and took my items that dropped.
My sister used to have that old school player and I used to borrow it everytime we went to my grandparents because i wanted to jam out to the Spice Girls 😂😂😂
Everything was so creative back then. That's what made it so awesome. The imagination was strong back then. When Disney was simply Disney and everything was family friendly.
You know you truly miss it when you can’t figure out which one you loved the most 😔….only real 90’s kids like myself gets emotional when listening and seeing this I would literally give up everything to go back
I was born in 2003, and the memories hit me like a truck. especially the lite brites, bop it, club penguin, tooth tunes and even an old school CD player that my aunt gave me years ago.
