The marco theory has been really popular for a while but there’s a huge whole in it. Blackbeard has already fought and defeated marco and than didn’t take his ability. the pay back war wasn’t a huge thing in the story but it still happened.

The smile side-effect is probably more of a genetic condition (kinda like the inability to swim), so Chopper wouldn't be able to cure it. Though it would have been nice having him explaining it, if that were the case.

Just gonna say this now, Shanks appearing being supposedly there to promote Film Red is a fan theory with zero basis especially if you think of his current role in the story now. So yeah. As for Yamato, I believe that he's still needing to take an Oden esque story as he is currently following a sorta similar path as him. At this point I would love for him to be our basis to come back to Wano, ESPECIALLY with the SBS Reveal on Otama :D As for stakes, I just view Wano as a reverse of Marineford, it is way more triumphant than anything yeah. For Zoro, based on what we have read on the SBS... It just isn't important for his character. Oda mostly just liked it as a bonus info. Look at the recent SBS for info :) And for the Smiles, Oda confirmed that Chopper can't cure it as it is akin to Devil Fruits, it's a permsnent curse, it'll be like changing people's DNA, right now it is impossible (possibly in the end game though?) Also I agree Kinemon should've died, twice. Lol. I guess the best I can give it is that it gives Ussop's best moment in Wano. Otherwise, he should've died. As much as I can barely say much criticism on Wano, I will never excuse Oda's constant fakeouts. As for Auras, I still standby me saying that it's a nitpick. Wano is mostly an amazingly animated arc and I am done with SOME (not you Korotos) people saying that Wano's adaptation sucks just cause of Auraitis (which I agree, should be toned down) is harsh and is disrespectful to the animators. Which again, isn't what you're doing don't worry. But that's my reason why I don't care for the Aura criticism anymore.

I am with you on Carrot and Yamato. I really hope we get a better closure for both of them later in the future, and about Yamato I love his character so much I really want to see them join. Yamato abandoning his dream for Wano's future and protection feels very in like with his character but the entire thing was handled very sloppily imo, im so confused lol

Here's my take on Yamato, one of the most important things is that he wants to be like Oden, so he wanted to be free from wano just like him. But what happened to with Oden the first time he came back? He saw that his country was struggling but didn't wanna hear details because it would make him stay, he chose his dream over the fate of his country and that was something that he regretted allot when he came back. Yamato's arc was realizing the true meaning behind Oden journal or his legacy In other words, he didn't want to make the same mistake as Oden and then decided to stay to protect wano as it's guardian deity, then set sail when the country is in a better shape

I wasn't really bothered by Yamato not joining, but I didn't like Carrot not joining as she had travelled with the crew since just before Whole Cake.

SBS volume 105 20:04 ep 1015 is a true masterpiece. It adapted chapter 1000, so manga readers were really curious on how the episode turned out and it didn't disappoint at all! Even the filler moments in the episode enhanced the source material 23:18 already appreciating it! I really wish you'd put some drums background music in the last minutes, but I really enjoyed this video regardless, ty!

I didn't think Yamato will join since she announce , just mainly because her devil didn't fit the crew ( SBS vol.59). I don't think Yamato introduced there is a wrong move, her role is the same as relationship between Viola and Rebecca but in here her role is to be beside Momo. For me I would be disappoint if Yamato leave wano now since She seem to develope a bond to wano and samurai more that strawhat ( she also never leave onigashima). If she leave now she gonna be push to the side alot. Oda is a master of Emotion manipulate, he know the end and still cooking toward it. From my experiece reading this series, Him underplay both carrot and yamato crewmate potential, make me think that he want his audience to think that this is the end of Luffy crew ( double down the dream luffy reveal to 'all the crewmate') and when it time , we might have unexpected crewmate appear. It so funny seeing Onepiece without people constantly predict what the next crewmate is after wano. We will know weather he play his card right in the future. Also, I think people have to keep in mind that Onepiece arc dont really have a full ending, mostly the arc that is closet to the end game like Fishman island , Zou or Wano. People in fishman island still dont want to give Luffy blood, Wano people still hat Kurozumi etc. This is commom for Closed country where people isnt truly free yet. These arc will be revisit for sure. ( i do think we will revisit and open wano border or destroy fishman island)

In my opinion carrot did not have much to contribute to the crew, the hopes that he would join were in the whole cake, but in wano nothing appeared, so right now I dropped my expectations and I was not disappointed like the carrot lovers, And about yamato, I can't say much because I watch the anime and read the manga so I won't say more

Chopper didn’t cure the smile curse because it is that, a curse brought upon by Simulating the same effects of eating a DF, just with out the powers and the not being able to swim effect. It was stated that eating a smile gives you a 1/10 chance of getting powers, and orochi fed the remaining scraps to the citizens of that village. So trying to “cure” the curse is next to impossible, or it would take chopper years since that’s how long it took him to come up with the rumble ball. It’s more of a genetic problem, ala something vegapunk can fix. Also, given this, and the clue that’s given about wanos true history during post Wano, it’s not farfetched to think the crew will go back. Yamato also didn’t know the true nature of the one piece, since they stated those pages were “torn out” they just know about odens journey with Roger and Whitebeard. Remember they were shocked about zunisha even existing and being at Wano.

My theory is that Yamato, instead of joining the strawhats, will take over the remaining beast pirates and ally with the Strawhats. I have a similar theory revolving around Katakuri from whole cake.

Maybe it is just me, but that Ace and Whitebeard are the only people that die in one piece makes their memories so much more powerful than if a lot of characters would have died

I don’t think it makes sense for Chopper to be able to “cure” smiles. That opens up so many more holes in the story unless there was more of distinct difference made between devil fruits and smiles. I think Oda also confirmed it was impossible. I’m glad that we got something permanent in the story

15:11 so simply put Chopper just doesn’t have the medical know how or the technology to fix them. He essentially would need to learn how to de-devil fruit a person medically. Ironically Black Beard might be one of two known people in the world that has even a chance of doing it (the other being the the scientist Vegapunk).

I have a theory on why Yamato has too stay in Wano, simply put Wano is going to be destroyed, and without Yamato Momo will have no chance to survive and fulfill his destiny. My evidence? Pluton is still inactive. Momo has made clear that he will not open the border of Wano willingly as long as Wano is under foreign threat, yet there is zero chance Pluton would remain inactive during the final war, nor that Momo and Yamato won't join the battle, so there is only one outcome left: Wano is going to be under such a powerful threat either the foreigners unleash Pluto by force or Momo himself choose to use Pluton because there is no other way. Wano will be devastated because at the very least the inner sea is gone at the activation of Pluton, taking away it's most important natural defenses, it's destruction which conveniently also enable both Momo and Yamato to leave Wano because there is no way to protect the country, at the very least without confronting the outside threats head on. Zou is the same way, because of it's importance to the opening of Wano 's borders, Carrot will be essential to that event, making her personal story advance at the same time of the crisis. I bet Oda is playing the long game with those two, and I am sure it will make sense at the end.

This may be a hot take, but Yamato annoys me. There is much to like, but i don't enjoy how she just casually calls herself Oden. If she wants to make a new identity for herself, thats fine i guess; but Oden was an actual person (in the story) that lived, died, had relationships, and left a legacy. If i were Momo and Yamato came up to me pretending to be my dad, I'd be mad and insulted. "My dad's death meant something, and you shouldn't just cheapen that with your fantasies." I know it's all just a fictional story, and you can't get too serious anout this kinda stuff. The whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. Other than that, Yamato is fine as a supporting role and not really a great character or bad character. Anybody else think that?

The temporary Beast Pirate costumes (and the Joy of Jinbei and Robin being undercover) are excellent. Sanji and Brook are the best Strawhats,and Queen is SO DANG COOL. Chopper and Usopp and the tank are overplayed and annoying (in the cartoon- they were fine in the comic).

Oda really fumbled the bag with wanos ending, but people are blinded by hype and too invested to admit it was poorly executed, atleast in my opinion

I think Yamato being "pointless" is overlooking the role they play in the Wano arc, by hyperfocusing on the end goal? (Also I do think Yamato WILL join Luffy at some point before the finale, simply because we know the weapon is in wano and the boarders will be opened before the end. It just wasn't quite the right time.) But Yamato plays a couple of very important narrative roles in the greater story and wano specifically. As someone who also bears the weight of a great father, he acts as a reflection and foil of Momo, even getting paired up at the end to help Momo achieve the fire breath, advising Momo on how his father does it (aka 'they don't fly they run on the fire clouds'). He is also someone who shows the depth of how much of a villain Kaido is. After all, up until this point the main jist of everything could be seen as Orochi's sins. Orochi was the ruler of Wano, Kaido was "just" the backbone with a big stick and without Yamato, could've been seen as trying to carve out a safe space for them and their crew and doing what they felt was necessary. AKA a lot farther on the sympathetic scale. But we see that Kaido isn't really much concerned with safety. He is concerned with power, and for Power's sake. After all- he is willing to have his heir's very life at daily risk with exploding cuffs. We get to see how personally cruel he was, and in contrast how kind the previous rulers of the land were to the son of their enemy. Kaido has given up on actually overturning the way of things, just jaded and waiting to die and doing what he has always done- amass power, because he's good at it and that's the way of the world in his eyes. And seeing him through Yamato's eyes drives this home. Also continuing themes of Inherited Will (because Momo inherits one part, to open the boarders of Wano, but Yamato inherits Oden's will of exploration), and allows both him and Momo to know some key info on what they will need to do once shit goes down in the future. The new dawn for Wano has come, but the sun has only just risen in wano- it has yet to rise in the rest of the world. Also inherited will in terms of Luffy inheriting will from Ace alongside Sabo which I have a lot of feelings about. Excuse me as I cry. But yeah Agree on Carrot- I never really clicked with her and the "you're now the new leader of Zou!" seemed to come out of left field?? It doesn't help that she was never really set up as a leader, just more a warrior. It's like if Zoro was suddenly made captain.

I used to really like Yamato until ODA did her dirty the way her character turned out...Even if we do return to wano and pick Yamato up..Its to late to redeem her character in my mind unfortunately 😔
