It’s COZY Season y’all and I’m so excited to share my favorite tips for making your home warm and welcoming for all the cozy months ahead! Let me know which tip is your favorite and what you’re looking forward to most this Cozy Season! 🤎🤎🤎
I used to hate fall because i knew winter was coming right behind it, but I love it now. all the colors of the leaves, pumpkins, fire crackling, cozy throws, blankets, sweaters, scarves, boots etc and lately cooler weather where you can enjoy the outdoors. I love sitting outside by the fire on a cool night snuggled up with a cup of coffee and my kitty cat! Love the channel and your tips! thank you for sharing!
Ohhhhh, we are so alike!! I adore fall now, it’s my favorite for all those exact same reasons! Thanks so much for watching and for your sweet comment! 🤎🍂
Light bulb selections are overwhelming these days! Frosted that are the right size and shape and with the perfect kelvin number takes a moment - Any way you/someone can provide a link maybe on Amazon to this bulb with these specifications? tia!
Boot trays by the door...genius! I had always dismissed boot trays as something people up north used, with all the snow and salt. But I need this so much. I recently retired and moved "to the country." That means mud...lots and lots of mud! That boot tray, with a pair of leather Wellies, adds just the perfect autumn touch. Thank you!
That boot tray is such a game changer in our mudroom! Even in the summer, I put my garden clogs there when I come in from outside, and it helps so much in keeping everything neat and tidy, and our floors nice and clean 🥰 thanks for watching!!
The cozy factor of fall! I’ve been adding more furnishings and magic to my space lately and after watching your video realized that I’ve been nesting for fall. It is interesting how sometimes I need to de-clutter, and other times I’m looking for layers. Thank you for these helpful tips! Bring in the warmth! 🍁 🪴 🕯️ 💡 🛋️ Thank you Ashley!💝
I’ve already been researching ways to combat SAD because I’ve noticed the days getting shorter. I’m trying my best to prepare, especially since I live in a place where summer only lasts three months. This summer, most days were too hot to enjoy many of the outdoor activities I’m used to. I’ve been researching some ideas and have already ordered my rugs. I’ve been searching for additional lamps and have started picking out scented candles-restocking my winter fragrances and beeswax candles to make sure I have more than enough. I’m also looking for new projects and considering joining a hot yoga or sauna membership to help me get through the season. I’m excited to rewatch this video and implement the tips you shared since I’ll be spending a lot of time at home over the next nine months. Love this video, as always!
I love that you’re planning ahead and making sure you’ll be cozy this fall & winter! I actually take a hot yoga/Pilates class a few times a week that I started it in January and it honestly made such a difference in those gloomy winter months for me! ❤️❤️
@lightworks3172 I also used to suffer with SAD during the winter months. My doctor recommended vitamin D supplements and it really helps. Wishing you a cozt and happy winter.
@@ashleychilders I like you because you’re very gifted, creative, truly know what you’ve talking about because it’s evidenced in the way you’ve designed and decorated your home, projects and most of all your furniture and home decor collections. I love that you appreciate beauty and look for ways to infuse it not only in your personal space but also throughout your work. You bring such warmth in your presentations and even though your line of work is not affordable to the regular people you never overbearingly plug your videos with your products. You Taylor your advice to all of your audience by suggesting not only high end but predominantly previously loved pieces found in vintage and antique places and also the work of grassroots creatives. You also have a deep love for the beauty of nature and never tire of demonstrating how to use it in every area of the home or in life at large. The crème de le crème reason as to why I really love you is because you don’t follow fickle silly trends . You believe in timelessness founded in what each individual’s personal style is as opposed to what direction the design world’s wind is blowing. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@eltinand1321 wow, that literally just made me tear up. You are so very kind, and I’m grateful to get to connect with you and others that love creating a beautiful home through our channel and videos! Sharing my love of design and the power of creating a home that is personal and meaningful is such a passion of mine and I’m so grateful that you enjoy the videos we create❤️ Truly!
@@ashleychilders you’re very welcomed. I’ve been a channel member from the inception and I watch every video religiously from when you posted on saturdays to when you switched to sundays so I know and love your entire ethos. Continue to be true to yourself. It really means a lot and really inspire my love for designing and creating beautiful spaces in my own home. Hopefully one day you will be able to collaborate with a more mainstream outlet to produce more budget friendly pieces for not soo well off people like me 😫😫😫because I truly and absolutely loveee your work.😊😊😊
Fellow Arkansian here! I truly enjoy watching your videos. It's my Sunday night treat after a long day of caring for my home. You mentioned chunky blankets and the chocolate blanket that you have draped over the sofa in your living room is really lovely. Would you mind sharing where you purchased it? As always so beautiful.
You are too sweet!!! It’s Sea New York, one of my fave brands 🥰 it’s from the spring, so not sure they have it anymore, but you’ll love all their beautiful dresses!!
I love the oil lamps! It’s liquid paraffin for those who are wondering. It’s pretty clean and odorless for those who are sensitive. For those who are not, incense is a favorite. You may have to crack a window, just like if you have lots of candles, for oxygen and air flow. Especially with incense. It can get to be too much if you’re not careful.
Love your content thank you your so helpful when it comes to make a decision. How could I show you what I've done to my home whit your tips ones gain, Thank You.
ashley: I am new to your channel. Just bumped into one of your videos on Pinterest. My designer of 20 years moved across country. I am looking to make some changes to the Classic/Traditional. I love the bedroom in this video with the variegated grey walls. Is there a way to see more of this room?
Appreciate all of your tips, Ashley. Thank you. I also love the three piece artwork with the black and white trees. Is it a purchased piece or did you make it?
Thank you Ashley, this puts me in the mood for fall. 8:33 you mention a mirror…I have a mirror in every room. Curious on your thoughts? My children make fun of me but i think the house looks great and they really help to bounce light around and bring life to the room.
I love mirrors. They add such a sense of depth to a room and for sure make the most of windows and lamps by reflecting and bouncing the light around! ❤️ you can always tone it down a bit by using an antique or églomisé mirror. I feel like they’re a little softer so sometimes in living/dining rooms I go for that option!
Love these ideas!!! So good! I too am already shifting my home into cozy season! May I ask, @AshleyChilders where those GORGEOUS purple velvet pillow covers are from?
I have been trying to source the glass oil lamp you lit at the beginning of the video having admired it many times before. Can you please share where it came from? TIA
I designed it and they are all handmade by a family of glass blowers in Poland!! They come in two sizes and two glass options❤️ here’s the link: ashleychilders.com/products/daphne-oil-candle-brown?variant=43934993973485
I like down inserts because of how fluffy and dense they can be. I always opt for Responsible Down Standard Certified options🤎 they’ll make that nice crease in the middle if you gently just push down in the center
@@ashleychilders Thank you so much! I kinda figured it had to be down but wasn’t sure. I’ve ordered pillow covers from Etsy and used regular pillow stuffing, but never get that “crease” not dent in the middle. 😁
