Guess what's making waves in desi fashion?
Chata Patti, also known as tukdi work, is made by stitching small fabric pieces (tukdis) together.
Here’s how it’s made:
1. A cardboard frame is cut out to ensure uniformity.
2. The pieces are then cut and hand-sewn together.
3. Embellishments added for a more cohesive look.
You'll see Chatta Patti in ghararas, saree borders, accessories, and even home décor!
Need inspo? Check out Aditi Rao Hydari and Manisha Koirala's gorgeous ghararas in Heeramandi.

It is hit in pakistan since ages , heeramandi outfits are also inspired by pakistani fashion, even the photos you have shown are of pakistani girls, indian fashion is now a days very much inspired by pakistani fashion because of its uniqueness , all credit goes to social media, because indian and pakistanis watch each other's content
@Duskygal05
@Duskygal05 2 месяца назад
Really where? Not saying that chattapatti is not worn in Pakistan or that Pakistani fashion is not great. But most of Indian fashion is not inspired by Pakistan lol 😂 what an overstatement. And it’s not like Pakistani people use their indigenous embroidery. Most of the embroidery used in Pakistan originated in India. Also not sure if you watch the same heeramandi that I did but I don’t see any inspiration from Pakistani fashion. They used embroideries and styles popular in the history of Lahore simple as that. Don’t know why Pakistanis try to make such big claims
@Allinone-p8j
@Allinone-p8j 2 месяца назад
Duskygal05 lol, then you don't know anything, printed kurti trend came from Pakistan in india, there are hundreds of clothing brand which copy pakistani designs in india, it is not a overstatement pakistan clothes are quite popular in india secondly your designers says that india is 10 years behind in fashion from Pakistan, you people wore styles which were popular in pakistan few years ago, but due to social media you watch our content and copy our designs and it is not about work like zardozi etc it is about style and design which are unique to pakistan that you have seen in heeramandi, secondly dresses in heeramandi did not represent culture of lahore historically it is wrong, because it represented Lucknow culture mix with pakistani fashion , secondly zardozi and many other types of embroidery came to india in mughal era, so it belongs to pakistan also, tulip, cigarette pants peplum shirt all came from Pakistan to india, sorry to say but you people don't only copy our songs dresses but also houses, i watch indian content so i know what is being copied
@Duskygal05
@Duskygal05 2 месяца назад
@@Allinone-p8j never said content doesn’t get copied. I have seen Pakistan copy content and I have seen India copy content lol. So many crappy Bollywood movies copy from Hollywood movies. Never talked about zardozi. Zardozi isn’t even Indian neither is it Pakistani. It comes for Persia. Pakistani trends are 10 years behind and neither are they innovative. Peplum tops come from Europe and not from Pakistan. Pakistanis are always so delusional lol. If you want to believe it, keep on believing it. Cigarette Pants with kameez 100% started in Pakistan. But you said most of Indian fashion comes from Pakistan lol 😂 I want to be that delusional. I love fashion. I keep up with all the collections. Most of Pakistani embroidery is so tacky and not even cleanly done lol 😂 and the tacky colour combinations
@Duskygal05
@Duskygal05 2 месяца назад
@@Allinone-p8j I am also not against cultural exchange. I have seen some of Pakistani designers being copy of sabyasachi and abhinav mishra. Pakistan didn’t even print. Cheent technique of printing and bloc prints of rajasthan go back thousands of years. I guess my mom wearing printed Kurtis stole it from Pakistan lol 😂 Other than zardozi and dabka, I have rarely seen Pakistani designers experiment with other types of embroidery. And the work is so poorly done. Not clean work. Look at Rahul mishras lehenga. Pakistani designers can never reach that level of craftsmanship. No wonder pakistan is where it is since Pakistanis are so delusional about their accomplishments.
