I’m 37 & This is basically how I’ve been doing my makeup for almost a decade (focused on the center/T-zone area only & blending it out & applying powder. I love this technique because if you’re using the right color, you can’t even tell you’re wearing anything and there will be no defined “line” between the color of the face, jaw, & the neck, and it looks so natural. I also like to mix my full coverage foundation with moisturizer &/or a drop of jojoba oil. I went to cosmetology school and we had a segment on skin care & makeup application & artistry. Most of the techniques felt like “too much” like preparing someone to be filmed or photographed, & not normal natural everyday wear. The important thing I learned is to regularly clean your tools/brushes, and replace sponges often, because bacteria can grow and give you infections. I just keep mixing and experimenting with different products to apply minimally, and I am usually happy with the end results. Thank you for these tips! I hope more people start to normalize minimal / natural makeup look.

100% correct !The more foundation, concealer, powder, highlight,, contour will only accentuate lines and pores. All of these layers settle right in for a horrific look.

I only put foundation on my cheeks and down to the jawline. I have bangs plus my forehead doesn’t need it anyway, and I don’t like it around my mouth. It just makes that area look even older. I had radiation for stage 4 mouth cancer and it really took a toll on the skin around my mouth. I’m alive though so that keeps me from fretting about it.

I actually wore some concealer as foundation today whilst doing my usual Friday meetings, anyway, I prefer looking more effortless, not too much coverage at all. I noticed that my peach fuzz gave the game away, you know the way the little devils just peak through. I have dermaplaned once, asking all of you who've done this...if I continue to shave, will I look hairer?😂 Laughing because I don't know how to verbalise it. Would appreciate any input from Wayne's viewers cause our aesthetic would probably be similar. Thanks in advance and have a fab weekend everyone. I dermaplane about once a month. And, no, you don't end up looking hairier! But the process does need to be done correctly or you end up with a rash (did that to myself the first time I tried it. Yikes!) There are many tutorials out there about this. Choose one done by a Dermatologist. Also, get a good quality face shaver. I have one by Versed that I love. Good luck!!

Shaving won't make your hair grow worse. Personally, I find dermaplaning takes too long. I just use a Bic disposable (2 blade one) and some Barbasol sensitive shave cream and shave my face just like a guy would.
@northwoodfalls1403
@northwoodfalls1403 Год назад
I use a safety razor (economical and environmentally gentle) and no, it has never made me look harrier. I’ve reached that stage of perimenopause where those pesky, thicker hairs have started to show up and I’m not quite ready to go get those dealt with professionally and I just shave those as well, and nope, doesn’t make them grow in thicker or any of that nonsense we were told when we were younger lol. The safety razor is my preferred razor because I have more control with it and I never get any bumps or rashes from it. Of course, make sure to never do it on dry skin and hydrate and moisturize the skin really well afterwards.

Thank you for acknowledging those of us with issues other than redness in the center of our faces. Would love, love, love for you to do a video on minimal (or at least as minimal as possible) coverage for those of us with melasma, which tends to show up on the forehead (and my forehead has some deep horizontal lines [thanks grandpa!]), upper lip, and outer perimeter of the face. Sure, I have a bit of redness to conceal around the nostrils, center of the chin, and a lot of blue to conceal under my eyes, but the melasma is so tricky because it’s so much deeper than my skin tone. Hi Wayne! Can you look into temple filler? Or have you heard of it ? I’m very nervous like you about fillers under the eyes but I just came across some pretty exciting reviews on a “new” way to help under eye hollow appearance. I looked closely at your face and mine and we have exactly the same issues . I really think the temple injections might help us a tiny bit . But also , I was thinking maybe just maybe - if we find a good matte make up that builds up that area in the right place ( I know you’ve probably tried everything by now but I’m hopeful still ❤) maybe we can do something to make it look more full on the sides and somehow draw attention away from the circles themselves..but idk it’s all so frustrating. I feel like I fix one area and now something else pops out . Then I fix that one , and ANOTHER flaw pops out . My make up routine has become so freaking complicated and omg if the lighting isn’t right …it takes so long ! Then I walk into a Florissant light and it’s just horrible how bad I did . Hey now there’s a good video ! Oh overhead crap lighting lol how to not look like death ! Help us Wayne lololol I know we all age but there’s got to be a happy medium . That's a great tip! I'll give that a try. I don't like a lot of full coverage foundation either. I started wearing it because I have to color correct along with concealer and foundation. ( Nars) sometimes I would use a tinted moisturizer on the areas that doesn't require color correcting. I'll give this one a try. I am in my early 70s and the older I get the less foundation as possible I like to use. Number one it gets into the fine lines and wrinkles. I know the tinted moisturizer doesn't do that. Unfortunately I can't use that to cover my hyperpigmentation with color correcting. But I'll definitely try the little less foundation on the other parts of my face. Thank you Wayne for this video!

I would love to do this! Your skin is just flawless before you even begin! I have terrible redness on my cheeks and dark circles. Do you suggest a heavy concealer to do this?

Did you put primer on first? Why does Primer make my face break out? Is there one that won’t? Thx

Love your vids and tips. Is there any foundation or concealer you recommend with yellow under tones? My eyebags are getting more difficult to hide as getting older.

What do you suggest if you have breakouts on the jawline and you do this sort of coverage? I prefer super light like this but I have acne all over my jaw 😅😢
