Hey Lauren, Saludos de Chile. Another great class. I already knew "Stuck in the Middle", but you always make me take home something new. I hadn't realized that the chord progression is practically a 12 bar blues, except for the short 2 beats on the fifth chord G in the tenth bar, (It's usually a complete 4 beats) Knowing this allows me to appreciate how these songwriters take that basic chord progression and beat, and create such a wide range of songs that don't necessarily sound like a typical blues. Loved the application for "Proud Mary". I'm going to try it out now. Great class.
Hey Lauren...I'm happy to say that you are " Stuck in the middle with all of us" I think you'll be stuck with us for a very long time. Once again the " Prof" has pulled it off. Thank you so very much for your patience in the tutorials that you do for us. I'm on Worship Team tomorrow (Sunday) in the Baptist Church here in Phalaborwa my home town. Love and blessings from Kruger Park in South Africa.🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Hi Lauren, have you ever listened to the music og Gretchen Peters? Try and find her song called "5 minutes" I believe you would really enjoy and appreciate the song. Be safe my sister. Love and blessings from your buddy in the Kruger Park in South Africa.🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Hi Cynthia, we do mix in close-ups from time to time. I assume that you know the chords to the song. Why I always go over the chords first. This lesson is really more about the strumming. Is it the strumming hand you need the close-up of? Usually fingerpicking lessons we do lots of close ups
Nice lesson! It blew my mind the day i realised this was sung by Gerry Rafferty, really enjoy Right Down The Line and many others by him. Thanks for this :)
This is great 👍 My new guitar thanks you for some easy fun 😀 I also got some thin (0.38mm) plectrums today which I find easier and more forgiving for beginner strumming 👍👍
Just found your videos. They are fantastic. I love how you reach and simplify song. Would you consider doing Sheryl crow. Everyday is a winding road. Greatly appreciate it. There are not many is any lessons on this song. Thank you.
LB , you’re up early! You ,of all things guitar, ever use a drum pedal? I was looking at some as a sub for a metronome. Re the Wheel , they didn’t last long as they had “internal issues” , but Netflix has resuscitated them ? Thanks for this as always.
@@tcb5141 Hi- Netflix used this song for the theme song for Grace and Frankie series ( Jane Fonda st al). That group didn't last long enough for a documentary ! But, unlike Milli Vanilli, they were a real group. Sorry for the confusion.
Hi Lauren i am a beginner you have helped me a lot I have one question for you so when you are playing the d g or c chord do you have upstrum 4 strings or 5 or can you play them all cause it has been really hard for me thanks
Oh man. You're right. We must have missed this in editing even though I probably watched it two or three times. All I can do once it's on RU-vid is blur out the cord but at least it won't be confusing.
Is your course good for electric guitar, too.? I'm totally new and I have just been trying to play scales and such. My biggest problem/concern is picking the right string and making sure my fingers are on the right string and fret. It gets kinda frustrating. (And I'm 64.)
