I'm planning my own wedding, and 2 of my close friends are also planning their weddings. Instead of wedding gifts, we are exchanging talents.. I'm being day of coordinator for each of them, friend 1 is video recording my wedding and doing photography for for friend 2, and friend 2 is being my day of coordinator. I'm doing as much research as I can for day of coordination 😅
@@user-no2qq5vt8g pretty well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to travel for one friend's wedding bc my grandma passed and her funeral was the same day as their wedding, but overall things worked out great between all of us Edit: I forgot to add that I hired a pro month-of planner and friend 2 became flowerwoman about 2-3 months before the wedding. We changed out all of my bridal party due to drama.
I’m currently planning my own wedding and I am definitely considering becoming a wedding planner on the side. It’s fun especially when you’re not dropping thousands
Literally turned off my adblocker so I can watch the ads on your channel and hopefully help your family's income a little! Thanks to Michel I let ads run for my fave RU-vidrs :) I LOVE this video!
In a precovid life I was a stage manager. Being a stage manager is similar to a wedding planner. A lot of stuff in your bag is what I have in mine. We have to coordinate with a bunch of different people. And man do I love a good time line. Even though I’m no where close to getting married I love all your videos.
Love this video! I’m a full time nonprofit major events coordinator who also dabbles in day of wedding coordinating for the past 6+ years. Keep this content coming!
I've been in theatre for 24 years - it's helping me soooo much in organizing my own wedding ;o))) The lights, the theatricality, the 'costumes', the timing, the team building... oh joy!
Loved this video, it’s fun to hear this business side of you! Definitely will check out your podcast. I would also love if you would do a video on the differences in Texas weddings and California weddings. I know it might be a little while before you get the chance to see any large cultural or aesthetic differences but I thought that would be a cool idea!
This video is so helpful and I’d love to see more content about being a wedding planner! I have been thinking about starting my own event planning business for a while now. I currently work in higher education event planning and I know it’s super different so I’m enjoying learning from you!! I’m also super interested in the mentorship program so I’ll email you!
Recently engaged and getting married in 2022 any tips on wedding dress shopping I have no idea on even where to start xx love your channel been watching a year before I was even engaged xx
I used to be a bridal consultant. Pinterest definitely helps! But also, be willing to try a dress outside your vision (say you’ve always thought you’d wear a ball gown, don’t be afraid to try a mermaid or trumpet). Also, don’t try dresses outside of your budget. I know that sounds obvious but it’s super easy to do and chances are you’ll fall in love with it and end up comparing dresses that are in your budget to it. Make sure to go early as well! It takes a while to get your dress shipped, especially with the pandemic. And last tip, make sure you have positive people with you and don’t be afraid of not finding your dress immediately. It’s one of the most important outfits you’ll buy in your life. Have fun and enjoy the experience! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and good luck!
I’m a teenager and I’m starting to discover wedding planning and I’m starting to feel like I could be one when I’m older! Although, I’m quite scared to start my own business incase nobody is interested and it fails. I also thought about Maybe working for a certain wedding venue at first so I can get some experience and knowledge on who I am. Before I take the step to start my own business. But I still unsure! I need inspo and advice 🥺
I would love to see if video with the pros and cons to being a wedding planner. I feel like it looks so amazing but there are probably a lot of not so fun parts to it that I’d love to understand more.
YES YES YES I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. I discovered your channel when I started an internship with a wedding planner, and I've been obsessed ever since
Yea! Please share more Planner content!!! Would love that. I’ve trailed off since my wedding has past just out of things not relating to me as much but I’d love to watch more!
This would be amazing! I would LOVE being a wedding planner!! I've helped plan 2 friends weddings and now planning my 3rd for my bestie. I'm slightly wedding obsessed lol
Jamie thank you for just being you! Your behind the scenes wedding videos are one of the things that finally inspired me to become a Wedding and Event Planner something I’ve wanted since 4th grade and I get the keys to my studio Jan 1st and can’t wait for the journey!
I really want to become a wedding planner and I'm not really sure where to start because I can only find online courses but I learn better with in person classes.
I just graduated from college in Business Tourism/Hospitality, now I am advancing onto degree in Event Management. Great video! But the pandemic is ruining things.
I’ve always wanted to start my own wedding planning business but have gotten so stuck in my current job and I’m so burnt out I’ve had an internship and it was a blast ahhhhh
I graduated a few months ago... I've been interested in event and specifically wedding planning for a while and I'd love to word in this trade. But I have two problems... 1) I live in a small town and I have no idea on how to find an internship and 2)pandemic... now everything is blocked anyway and I'm just so so sad that I cannot work towards the career that I want... Let's hope for the best.
Love it! Could you do a destination wedding video? We're getting married in Lima in 14 months and I don't know what weekend dinners to plan, how early to send out invitations, how to pick vendors through zoom, all that. Lima is a huge city too and we have family living all over and all the destination wedding advice I see online is for rich families having weddings in resorts lmao!
I took a online course for Wedding planner but I think watch You tube videos will help me. I know good food when I taste it. I was in the restaurant industries. I also got a Restaurant and hotel manager degree. I am a cook and my husband is a baker. One question I am going to be 60 years old this year. Never too old correct!
half way through my wedding planning course now! Just subscribed even though I know this is an older vid.. looking forward to all that wedding planner content :)
I would love this too!!!! I'm trying to remedy the overwhelm by having a teeny tiny backyard ceremony on a different day than the reception which will be more open house style and less structured so we don't feel so pressured to have everything perfect 😊😊😊
What's the steamer from your "what's in my bag" video? Also, jumpsuits may be a pain to go to the bathroom, but better than having a dress fly up, so good choice!
I’m currently living in Las Vegas and would love any help you could offer a future wedding planner! I’d love to have my own business some day but I feel stuck after the pandemic 🥲
Hi Jamie …love all your advices ! how much is your fee ? My daughter is engaged and we are planning the wedding for next year 2024- we live in Southern California..do you travel ? And also we would like recommendations from you about vendors …we live in Moorpark CA 😊
Help!! Could you do a video on aisle runners? I recently started looking into this. My venue has a outdoor area with grass and concrete runner in place. I thought it would be very cute to add one of those generic white thin runners. But after consideration, I don't know how to keep it down. Wind could blow it over. Is there like some special double sided tape you know of? There's not much videos on this topic. Keep up the great work!
Jamie, you gotta get some Cole Haan sneakers! I'm a wine and Liquor rep so I'm on my feet all day and moving cases of alcohol and I love and die by those shoes
Hey Jamie, I Love you videos and i know you might be the only one who has some tips. I wanted to ask if you had any tips on where to put my main table or how to arrange tables and the DJ to make everything work together when my seating area and dance floor are completely separated from each other by big barn walls.
this is so random but i just followed you on instagram & i just knew even before i saw your bio that based on your personality you were a christ follower 😹💞 i always wondered that when i watched your videos!
Jamie! I get super chapped lips during busy days at work because I don’t drink enough water. Could you be dehydrated on days when you work events because you’re so go go go?
