The parallel between flowey/asriel and glados/caroline works so well, they’re both not bad people but were forced into a new body without a soul after they had died. Leaving them without empathy stuck with a crueler fate than death only finding purpose in being cruel to others
I like how in the context of the original song GLaDOS is clearly in denial. Here though? Oh no, this is pure SPITE. I get the feeling Sans underwent quite a number of resets before this point and isn't shy in sharing how much he wishes you to never darken his doorstep again.
This feels like something I would've (and should've) seen all those years ago when I was on my Undertale craze. The days of Stronger Than You parodies, thousands of comic dubs and too many Sanses. Oh well, better late than never. 😅And it's pretty good too! Fits decently well.
...it also makes me sad because I have many, _many_ ideas for song parodies like this one but I have no skill nor motivation (and tbh no time now either, now that it's school time again) to make them or learn how to draw. 😭
@@robertlupa8273 Yeah it took me over eight years of drawing literally every single day to make this! The key is to never stop dreaming. Art is what really matters in this world, and it's got nothing to do with skill- just the emotion of it. If you ever want to make something like this I have a lot of tips from experience! It's best to get the song lyrics and write down what you imagine for each part, then to sketch out the entire thing on paper. Don't color anything, don't line anything, just sketch out the entire imagined animatic on paper.
@@quonit *EIGHT YEARS?!* 😨Wow, that's... wow. The fact that you never truly stopped is impressive. A-and thanks for the tips, but as much as I'd love to draw, I'm too lazy and/or overcritical of myself to draw _anything._ let alone one of the many (actually kinda detailed) ideas I have.
Considering the scene where sans stalks the player after coming out of the ruins is him deciding wether or not to kill the human where they stand, this song fits sans surprisingly well
Ever since i finished portal 2 last month i thought this song would really fit with Undertale, and it seems like someone had already made an animation! "One day they woke me up, so i could live forever" fits really well with Flowey, with how he's probably lived through hundreds of years worth of resets, his god complex, and how assuming Undertale is preserved for future generations, he'll meet millions of players long after we're dead. 10/10.
OOFF. Man, this song is perfect for Sans ans Flowey, The "I used to want you dead, but now I only want you gone" is perfect: they cant kin against this kid, no matter what they do, they just keep resetting. They no longer want to fight, they just want this kid GONE,lujt LEAVE. And the shot of Charas skeleton?? Oh my god, perfection. Amazing work, mate
&/Or Toriel. &/or it can be an aborted genocide where u stop at him (or something like that). There is also a Neutral ending (Leaderless +18? I forget the exact number and/or exact name for the ending, even though I really like the ending) where he straights up tells u to go Hell. Sans also doesn't even trust u in (most of) Pacifist either.
It’s amazing how easily you can put the song at the end of portal 2 fits with undertale, the only difference is that your even worse then how chill acts
This animation man, it's a combination of 2 of my favorite games ever (and that have made me almost cry), and every time I watch it I almost cry, it's done perfectly, everything is beautiful, 10/10, this is incredible.
I can guess. This is either the neutral Run where u kill papyrus and some other monsters. Just not undyne, or toriel. But you kill mettaton. Or just a nuetral run but you only kill papyrus. And I love it, I almost never see nuetral run animations like these or any at all. It's refreshing. And cool, (to the bone that is)
This animation is great! The parallel between undertale and portal is something that I’ve been thinking about, and now I’m saying an animation on it! Overall, this is awesome.
I feel like the whole song fits more with Flowey after the true pacifist ending because he says that it's better to leave the story as it is. Or so I remember
There's definitely a lot of different ways you could interpret the lyrics when it comes to adapting them to Undertale. I had some ideas that got scrapped similar to this one. You could always make your own! Nothing's stopping you.
I really love how yo managed to mix the True Pacifist/True Ending, the Almost-True Pacifist/Pacifist-Neutral Ending, *AND* the Almost-Genocide/Obliteration-Neutral Ending in just one animation!? This is so awsome!!
ONE PERSON DID back in like 2015, I looked it up when I had the idea. WHAT THEY DID THOUGH is that they replaced the audio with some really crunchy sounding Flowey sounds. There was also no original art in it. A lucrative market I have found indeed
but also because it would be antithetical to Flowey's character. His whole thing is that he DOESN'T want you to close the game and wants to play with you FOREVER and EVER. He doesn't only want you gone, he wants you to come back! So Sans fits the lines better.
@@quonit Yeah who doesn't love Sans ? But that's not an excuse to shoehorn him where he doesn't belong. Him and Flowey never really interact. At least not in the events of the game. There's literally only one Flowey line that may hint at them having fought in past timelines, but in this one they don't interact. He isn't even aware Flowey exists during most of the game since he tells us that he thinks the flower that gives Papyrus advice is just someone pranking him with an echo flower. And at the end of the pacifist timeline, Flowey kinda wants you gone though. He tells us that it's best if we leave the characters be. You could have made the animatic at that moment with Flowey as the only one singing (since in the original only Glados sings). It would make more sense than including Sans.
Jeez Player, what did you do to make even sans openly hate you? This is a...horrible time line! Animation is great doe. Was not expecting a Portal 2 songs in Undertale!
IT WAS MEANT TO BE I was really surprised to because I was listening to my Daydream playlist, and this just came up as I was thinking of Undertale, and I was like "Literally every single one of these lines could be about UT. What the heck"
1:59 nice games, large selection also strange about sans saying frisk tried to kill him twice, it would be A: 0 times cause no genocide yet B: 1 time because genocide was done and times where player dies don't count or C: a very high number, because sans cause to my memory the only time frisk ever tries to kill sans would be at the end of the genocide timeline. . . maybe its canon frisk died only once to sans here, thats some skill
SHRUG I couldn't change the words, I just worked with what I had. It's basically the only line that doesn't fit exactly though lol, I'm lucky about that
This would work better with Flowey and Frisk because it's the same as GlaDOS and Chell. A mute protagonist trapped in the underground and the antagonist who used to be good but after an experiment gone wrong, they ended up in a new body and lost all their feelings and empathy, plus the line "she was a lot like you" would make more sense because of Chara
It might work better for a Portal Undertale AU, but this is specifically me translating the lyrics to the song. The reason I gave sans the lines about "I used to want you dead but now I only want you gone" is because Flowey saying them it would be antithetical to his character. His whole thing is that he DOESN'T want you to close the game and wants to play with you FOREVER and EVER. He doesn't only want you gone, he wants you to come back! So Sans fits the lines better.
@@quonit Flowey DOES want to kill you in the end of neutral but after defeat he starts to think what we are Chara, and he changes plan, after pacifist ending he does want YOU to leave them, so he fits perfectly in the whole song
lololol YEAH SO WITH THAT FRAME it was supposed to be the "player" at their desktop with the video game Undertale open, but I made the video relatively quickly so it wasn't super obvious
