Judy blue jeans are awesome!! Pretty much the only brand I own. I love their high waist styles. They are very stretchy, so you need to size down from your normal size. I buy them from boutiques when they offer a sale. I iust wait to buy until I can get a coupon.
Wow, some of those prices were CRAZY! The blue dress looked great on you, but I get your hesitation because of the price AND being in the middle of weight loss.
Hi Alisha- the items that were nice, were ridiculously priced - BUT, with that being said, if you really love that blue dress (which looks stunning on you) ~ treat yourself. You will regret it and constantly thinking about it if you return it 🤷🏻♀️.
I really like the blue dress too. I think a wrap dress will adjust to weight changes better than other styles. Judy Blue has a big following. I've never tried them but they are on my list to try. Could you hem the light wash jeans? I wear tanks under loose flowy button downs in the summer due to sun senstivity. I'm making excuses. The dress is perfect. Think of it in cost per wear pricing. Every season I have about 2 to 5 items I want and this summer has been frustrating. Everyone is out of stock in my size (2x). What they do have will sell out in hours. I think retailers/brands have pulled back on plus sizes. Shopping for clothes should be fun. This is not.
No it is not fun. It is sad to see them pulling back on plus size. Just curious what brands you are wanting that sell out? I do love the dress but I truly believe it has been marked up a ton so I am torn
@@Alisha23456 old navy has had a cotton midi tiered dress that I've lived in for the last 3 years (and it DRYS without shrinking). This year it was restocked 5x's in 5 colors and I can wear 3 sizes (incl tall). They all sold out in 48 hrs and never went on sale once. Same some cargo pants. Full price or forget it in XXL/2x reg/tall. I've also kept my eye on American Eagle/Aerie separates sold out before I could blink in XXL. AEO jeans in their highest rise has been my best fit in jeans. They announced they were discontinuing larger sizes and carrying fewer large sizes in store. I was going to try some Target brands. Sold out in 2x. This has been repeated everywhere. Except Walmart and I've learned my lesson. Everything there is a petite.
@@aikanae1 it’s just ridiculous. Why they would do this. I’m not sure whether it was you. I was telling me about that a couple months ago but I felt like some influencer or some thing basically decided this whim or maybe it’s the medication that’s out there now either way, ridiculous everybody needs clothes to wear.
@@Alisha23456 money doesn't matter in fashion. Notice all the clearance is small sizes? The excuse is "brand dilution". When small size trend setters see larger sizes, the brand is no longer viewed as trendy or current. Not kidding. Owner of Lululemon said that, pointed to a drop in sales at several brands that expanded into size inclusive such as Victoria Secret. He listed several others that had experienced a sales drop. I didn't keep track of the article since it was a hard read. I hate thinking the "fat" stereotype runs that deep. Avg size is a 16 so it's really excluding half of the adult female population. The medication just feeds this, but it's not the cause. Photoshop has done as much or more damage. Medical Drs are stupid when it comes to weight; the only illness where it's ok to accept a cure more life threatening than the original illness (talking about some questionable fad diets in the past).
Alisha, think of the cost per wear. I like the idea of an another viewer’s suggestion of a rental wardrobe. I have seen some of Quince’s nice items. They have better quality fabrics and are geared to more professional women from the style videos I have seen. I also suggested Eileen Fisher for you. These style boxes and most women’s clothes are designed for the lowest common denominator. That means a typical fast fashion mentality: Rayons and their cheap cousin fabrics and styles that appeal to a younger audience without fit issues and more stringent requirements. Think of more revealing and attention-grabbing clothing. It’s all about the bottom line. Invest in a classic, timeless capsule wardrobe with quality fabrics that you will wear. It’s that simple. You know who you are. You know your lifestyle. You’re open-minded to trying new things but know what works. Your style is simple but classy. You use colors and fit first to enhance yourself. You also skillfully incorporate the occasional pattern or unusual element. You have an innate sense of what works for you. Relax and invest in a few timeless pieces. It is an investment in yourself. You can add some trend from these boxes or Poshmark if you so choose. It’s not us. I see a change in your channel. Vintage hunting? Poshmark and other sites? Accessories? Antique or vintage jewelry? A special splurge? You already started changing when you took us to Marshall’s. 🦋😀
