'Wanted My Camera, Thought I'm Muslim': Journalist Beaten At Amit Shah's Rally | The Quint

Raghav Trivedi, a journalist with digital news outlet Molitics was brutally beaten up at a public rally held by BJP's Amit Shah. "They wanted to delete the evidence from my camera, most of the crowd thought I'm Muslim so they joined in to beat me further," recalled Trivedi who was later hospitalised with injuries after he had fainted in the rally. Neither the police nor the media present at the spot helped him, he told The Quint.

But but at Manipur some traces of this experiment can be felt. I love how our youth has been brainwashed to percieve secularism as a bad concept. I USED to feel proud that indians will never go to religious extremism, an evil due to which states like pakistan were failing. But I honestly never thought that i’d hear ‘Jai shree ram’ not to worship bhagwan ram but to invoke fear into others, how lower will we stoop. I don’t agree with congress’ minority appeasement nor with bjp’s majority appeasement but the COMMUNAL hatred the british instilled that we tried to reverse in these 50 years has been completely undone in mere 10 years.
