The fight between Medic and Spy (4:04 -- 4:37) is quite literally the most engaged and focused I've ever been on an action sequence in an SFM. I don't even know who I was rooting for (probably both equally tbh), but I was completely enraptured.
Seems legit. Depending on the situation - if you're as paranoid as some people - you keep a loaded firearm and an extra magazine concealed in a few places around the house. Or, a shotgun and some extra shells. This is to counter the Home Invasion scenario where you're caught otherwise off-guard, or when you aren't carrying your primary handgun. Examples include: -Safe Storage localles, where Home Carry is not legally possible, but having a fast access biometric safe or two, with a weapon and/or loaded magazines or loose ammunition for revolvers, is legal -Situations where actually carrying a handgun is inconvenient or hazardous (heavy cleaning, bathing, sleeping, cooking, workshop) -Disabled persons with limited mobility and strength that spend a large amount of time in specific rooms (home office, living room, kitchen) For the criminal element, stashing guns and ammo for them in various locations is a time-tested method to make sure you don't get caught with a gun if frisked by police, but still having access to one if needed. Stashing them around one's safe house, instead of carrying them constantly, precludes the possibility of accidentally carrying one out into public without thinking. These being Mercenaries, they probably left them situated around the hideout for a scenario just like this one - an infiltrator or intruders - so they can have a weapon available to give them a chance to get back to their main arsenal, without having to constantly carry their primary weapons.
Same here, I vant to know how Sniper got in zhat situation(I'm not mocking you I'm trying to study German, and am trying to get myself use to zee accent)
@@brianalight4625 So sorry for zhe VERY late response comrade. You are doing very vell vizh it :). Und I do not take offense to it vy zhe vay. Vhat vould Scout say to zhat...oh right, 'Lol'. (I vas originally John Zhe Medic vut somehow some idiot must have hacked zhat email so I vas forced to make anozher account)
This is really well animated. But the sheer amount of half-smiles or smirks was ridiculous. It was like, every other second. Also, nobody hunched over either. Their spines were a stiff as a board.
Wow! That was really smooth! Only the story was a bit weird for me sometimes. Sniper didn't care for the spy until he heard a grenade or didn't look if the spy was behind him. It doesn't seem that Blue cared that much about the Sniper either, they had all gone on the Spy. But why did they capture him then? Other then that I really liked it! Amazing work!
Well done fight animations. The only thing, from a story point, that I dislike is that this is one of those "RED merc singlehandedly beats the whole BLU team because RED is just that awesome" videos (usually those feature a Scout or Soldier). BLU makes all the classic mistakes of dumb mooks in Hong King action movies: Surround the enemy but then attack him one-on-one, forget that you have weapons, or have the aim of a Stormtrooper. Wait, how did the pistol vanish from the BLU Medic's hand when he was already aiming it, and end up in the hand of the RED Sniper behind him? Magic? If the Sniper had grabbed it and wrested it out of the Medic's hand we would have seen it and the Medic would have noticed instead of staring in surprise at his empty hand. :-/ Also, where did the other BLU mercs vanish to? Except for the BLU Demoman, who had his neck broken, and the BLU Engineer (hand grenade), everyone else was beaten unconscious (Soldier, Scout, Pyro, Heavy, and Heavy might have survived the explosion because he was already lying down).
The Medic as the head of a criminal gang? Now that is not something you see everyday. That end scene with a gruff RED Heavy-Cop and a defiant BLU Medic seems designed to spawn a thousand fanfics. ;-) Overall, however, the video lacks any clues to what is going on. I guess it's an Alternate Universe story? Why did they capture the RED Sniper? Why did they try to recapture the Spy and Sniper alive? What is the Medic wanted for? The video suffers from the same problem last year's Wild West shootout video had which also cast the various mercs into alternate roles: lots of well-animated fight sequences between two groups, but vague on what is actually trying to accomplish what and why.
Kalen Kelly I don't think we're in the normal TF2 universe here (note the lack of their normal equipment), and I didn't see "teams". I saw the Spy pretty much whooping everyone's ass, and then the Sniper who had been a captive 5 minutes ago pulling a hand grenade from hammerspace.
I also hate this overused concept of OMG ENTIRE BLU TEAM SUX BUT DIS ONE GUY IS RLY GUD AND KILS EVRY1. I have nicknamed it "every action saxxy entry ever".
That is really well done! Hope you'll get a lot of good feedback and a fan base real soon! Also, how did you get that map? I know you asked for someone, but in general, people don't accept it right away.
Well it looks very cool, I'd love to be able to ask you for a "simple" map one day, but sadly, I can't animate with my actual PC aaaand you may be tired/just not want to do that right now x)
Then again in meet the medic you can kind of see why he would fit the Villian, the only other person on the team who is truly evil would be the soldier in my opinion because who sticks heads on posts and lectures them?
Spy is a swift and capable assassin, a true person to be afraid of. Medic is a highly intelligent man, capable of life and death. I mean, sure engie is smart, but he isnt a madman as much as our favorite german doctor is.
Protagonist Spy vs Villanous Medic Now where have I seen this before? 😭🤩👀 Only difference toward the Winglet's version of the brawl was that the Spy had entered unarmed for a seemingly worthless sniper should have been killed immediately from the start and all of BLU team had 5 minutes of experience
Just a few criticisms, otherwise, great work! A: the characters were mostly flat. Scout was quiet, despite his normal behavior B: The characters were oddly stiff, hardly ever moving their shoulders and arms, despite them having to break into sprints, or searching for an unseen spy. I would say that it was very compelling, narratively speaking, and I enjoyed the otherwise natural animation style.
WHY DID ONLY ENGI BRING A GUN AT THE START LIKE WTF PYRO, THIS COULDVE BEEN OVER IN SECONDS YOU TOO HEAVY, ENGI WAS STUCK WITH STOCK PISTOL WHICH IS HARD AS HELL TO ACCURATELY HIT SHOTS AT LONG RANGE
I just can't get over how the engineer missed 3 shots at point blank range in a narrow corridor at 1:52. You can't just have the hero not be hit by bullets for no reason, that's really REALLY lazy action writing.
