Thanks for the upload, your efforts greatly appreciated. The more I watch this movie, the closer I look at the performance from the legend Raj Kumar saheb. Noting the way he walk, delivers dialogue very casually but the impact is immense, the style of body language and subtle facial and body expressions....this was an actor who did not need to be promoted on social media or devote anytime on his fitness, his acting skills were more than enough to make him a legend of the entertainment industry.

When Ravi ( Sunil Dutt) insults vijay (shashi kapoor) who is a driver & also poor boyfriend of ravi's younger sister renu (Sharmila Tagore) ,then his upset sister renu shows ravi in return with an argue that what is his reality, he is an orphan, whom her rich & soft hearted parents had picked up from the street and adopted. B.R. Chopra and Yash Chopra had wanted to cast the entire Kapoor family-Prithviraj Kapoor ( played by Balraj Sahni), Raj Kapoor as the eldest son (played by Rajkumar), Shammi Kapoor as the second son (played by Sunil Dutt). Only Shahi Kapoor remained. The reason was that Chopra's friend Raj Khosla rightly pointed out that the people will not accept a real father (Prithviraj Kapoor) and his real sons NOT recognizing each other.

Please note that the man playing Sharmila Tagore's father's role is known as Surendra. He is a very senior and talented artist. He played the role of the good son in the film Aurat -the film which was remade by its producer Mehboob Khan as 'Mother India. He was also in 'Anokhi Ada' ( another Mehbook Khan production and 'Anmol Ghari'. Surendra used to SING HIS OWN SONGS. In those days 'playback singing' did not exist-so one had to be a good actor and also be a good singer at the same time. That is TALENT.

Everyone discuss and praise the stars like Balraj Ji, Dutt Sahab, Jaani Rajkumar sahab but the two distinguished actors are not much talked about first is Rehman sahab (Chinoy Seth) and second is in film's climax Public Prosecutor (Motilal) the veteran and India's first natural actor. His dialogue delivery is impeccable and unmatched... he just steals the show from the very first word. Rehman sahab's elegance and aura as Chinoy seth is unmatched, his style & portrayal of Rich Criminal is probably the most subtle.

Old Hindi movies there is more Urdu involved than Hindi. Moqif ,qatal mulzim, mujrim, ba izat Bari, ha zir ho, khak Saar etc. Love the dialogues. The new era of Bollywood should learn from these great legends.

Very nice movie and very nice acting by Balraj Sahni and Raaj Kumar The police officer who arrested Raaj kumar at 2:16:49 has got world record for doing most number of police officer roles in Bollywood. 2:49:35 goosebumps
