That Corsair has to be the best replica I've ever seen.. Simply superb workmanship and proportional execution right down to the finish and the attention to detail.... outstanding..
Popular Science magazine ran an article in the seventies on WAR aircraft. I dreamed building one in the P47 version, but life has a way of getting in the way of a dream. DynoDon on here has built but yet to fly a Corsair with a Subaru engine. Look him up and say hello.
@@chrissims4085 I have found out that the company is called flug werk, and they restore original FW190s to airworthy standards. So, if you have enough money to have them build a FW190 entirely made by their parts, you probably can. But the engine is different in its horsepower. Original was around 1,700, while the new one was 2,000 hp
FW190 would be interesting but I would want to remake the cowling, spinner and prop.. Landing gear looks fine but I would extend it a little more for that extra prop clearance.
An extra couple of inches may be possible with significant redesign of the aircraft. Changing to a full composite, no wood or foam, may make that easier. What is the issue with the cowl, prop, and spinner?
Fw190 replica plane can take off on very short runways. FW190 replica plane is the best plane that can be used for escaping danger. And it can fly long distance.
I wouldn’t use less than 3000’ hard surface runway. Range is limited to 300 miles max with 14 gallons of fuel. A future kit FW190 will address numerous issues such as weight, build-ability, aerodynamics, stalls, cockpit volume.
Yes I knew it was not a WAR. I only know of two WAR P51s that flew. The prototype and Mike Carrelli’s. WAR P51s looked a little different in profile. I never liked it much and think it should be corrected.
Costs go way up. Bigger engine, structural analysis, aerodynamics analysis, and the price to the potential builder greatly limits the number of kits that could be sold. We already had a flying airframe and all the drawings for the metal parts.
Would gave been nice to actually SEE what the corsair looked like ..in flight footage is great , but it doesn't give us , the viewer a clear representation of the aircraft in flight . More footage , like you did with the FW would have been appreciated....don't need all the fancy music blah, blah, blah ,,, show me the airplane.... Corsairs are my all time favorite , but I have no idea what this one really looks like ,,,, scale , etc ..... just saying ...
I agree. That is all I have found so far online. I am working on getting more from a man who has flown five WARs. He said he has vhs video. He also reports they fly really well.
@@chrissims4085 this guy has been building one for a few years ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Xz4sxVMVgDQ.html the video proceeding this one also has it sitting outside with the wings attached.
@@LittleManFlyingI think this could be dangerous, imagine if he is intercepted by a military pilot and the pilot hates everything related to Nazism and shoots down the fw-190
