I loved the movie adaptation so am tempted to read the book one day but I could read 10 other books in the time it'd take me to read this

I'd really recommend it. It's long, but (aside from the last 100 pages) it's all character driven. So you really get to hang out with the characters and get to know them. I read it over the course of 9 months, and I had other books on the go simultaneously, so I didn't feel like I was sacrificing all of my reading time to this book.
