My wife and I were heading on I-81 in Viginia today and two fighter jets flew very low (maybe an hour SW of Roanoake). I have only seen and heard fighter jets a few times in my life, once being the evening of 9/11 from my apartment in Brooklyn. Im sure today was just an exercise but for a moment my wife and I wondered if a rogue general had gone Pinochet and was heading towards the area occupied by the rich men north of Richmond who are destroying everything. Then I realized my imagination was getting the better of me.

Picked up by a member of the Houston, 2nd militia, after their ambush and search of the local area: “Decided I was done sitting inside in the basement all day and night and wanted to go outside for some “fresh air”. Ha. The air is now filed with the smell of gun powder and smoke from the countless fires in the local area. Grabbed the radio and headed for the porch. Phone lines have been down for at least 2 weeks. Never thought I would be so grateful for radio and the brave people who are still finding a way to keep the information rolling in. Every once in a while, I swear I can hear the broadcast of some of the militia’s pirate broadcasts, trying to recruit others to their cause. Police in the area have all but vanished or worse, joined any number of the groups in area. Made the wife and kids go to her mother’s house. Thought they would be safe there until this was all over. I guess that’s where my naivety came in. I thought the military would put this “uprising” down soon enough. I should have known that when it spread to all 50 states, that there was no way they could contain it. Although, I must admit, I am surprised as to the lengths that the Government has gone to try to stop this. UAV bombs on the entrenched. Destruction of entire farms and their land. Public executions. Hell, I’m hearing rumors of entire city blocks getting carpet bombed. This house has been in my family since the 1900’s. I guess that’s why I couldn’t just walk away from it when it began. This was to by my family’s forever home. However, tonight, as I write this, there is a massive attack from what looks like militia on a government convoy, just a few miles away from here. And unfortunately, my house is the only one around for miles so whoever wins, they’ll be here eventually to see where my loyalties lie. I think it’s finally time. I hope that, when I write in this again, this will all be over. If it’s not me who finds this, I beg you… Don’t let this be for nothing”.

This is unbelievably good. I do think the fact that comments in here are pointing fingers at both sides illustrates how fucking toxic this country currently is and how close we may actually be to something like this happening.
