everyone in the conference room talking about the war flag of philippine: "we should make it more creative and it will surely boost our soldier to be more patriotic!" "why don't we just flip the red and blue upside down" "Genius, hes a superstar"
@Kayin Bueno That's the best part of my flag🇵🇭, when there's war(not that I like it OK) just flip it upside down instead on looking for the other flag for war. To those who read this, I'm sorry if you feel offended, I'm just a random 13 year old Ok
Lol I remember when everyone in the class was always asking "ano nga yung nasa itaas? Pula or Blue?" Every time we had to draw the flag back in elementary hahaha

Amma tell you some of my memories when I was in elementary school. It's time for the flag to be raised but we haven't having a flag ceremony, so we are rising it up but we accidentally flip it until it tooks us a couple of second to realize that we mistakenly raised the flag up hahaha then the teacher said put the flag down and make sure that the blue colour is in the top side hahahaha
For me and other Filipinos, we kinda raise sometimes our war flag even if there’s no physical war, just social media war. North VS South Philippines. Yes! We’re in a Online Civil War for decades.
Filipinos: welcome to our country fellow traveler Traveler: flips the flag by accident Filipinos: there are no accidents Traveler: why do i hear boss music
I'm sure you've noticed, but whenever there's something that relates to the Philippines, Filipinos/Pinoys come swarming in droves. At least there's no more "Like if you are Filipino" in the comments section XD.
@@playingaplayablegame237yea8 No I am not a philipino.. I actually already knew that reverse flag thing, so I was more curious.. also, because everyone in the comments talked about it😅😂 Take it as a joke
I just love how 98% of the comments are about the Philippine flag 😂 Come to think of it, maybe that's why everyone got wild when I raised the Philippine flag with the red apparently on top

During independence day here in the Philippines , it's quite common to hang flags outside of our homes in commemoration of the special day . But the thing is , when i was young, our teacher tasked us to make a flag to hang it outside our homes. Without knowing anything i accidently hang my flag UP SIDE DOWN during THE INDEPENDENCE DAY! and when my aunt came home , she was like " ARE WE GOING TO WAR?" she then corrected me. Reminiscing this, i can't help but scold my younger self. Way to go in celebrating INDEPENDENCE DAY with a flag upside down (war flag). Pretty ironic right ? So every year , when independence day came, checking the flag if i hang it right became a habit . I definitely dont want to repeat my past mistake
All this thing about the Philipine flag reminds me of mine, Mexican one. Because as you can see here 🇲🇽 the colors are green, white and red (in that order) Green is hope, white is peace, and red is referencing the blood of the people who fight for our independence. But when your a kid is very very common put the colors in the wrong order. The good thing is that we don't flip the flag for war because that error would be even worse lol Actually I don't know if we have a variation of our flag for war. We have been in an internal war between ourselves for years and nothing happens 🤷🏽♀️
@Joshua Diocares theres a ton of filipino flag jokes in this comment abyss, no one is gonna just look through all of it to see if someone else made the same joke, just let people make jokes
I remember just one time in school, we had to make our national flag (Philippine Flag) for United nations day. I was a 1st grader and they haven't taught us that flipping the flag means war. So I made the flag, accidentally placed it upside down onto the stick we made as a pole. Out of everyone in my class, I was the only one who had it flipped. And I had it like that waving it around for the whole day since my teachers haven't noticed anything. It was when we had to take a picture and they noticed one of the flags was different from the rest. They asked me jokingly "Are you going to war or something?" I didn't know what they meant until I showed my parents the flag I made. And the absolute embarrassment I got when realized I waved that thing around for the whole school to see. No wonder people liked staring at my flag that day.
accidentally flipping Philippine flag actually happened at Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games when the broadcaster accidentally flipped their flag, it was a whole thing
That really just means 八一 in Chinese which was the date of a war "The 1st of August". 八 meaning 8 in English also means August because it is the eighth month of the year. And 一 meaning the first day of August because it means 1 on English. Ok, I already got the joke don't woooosh me
I like the designs of a lot of the war flags better than the standard ones. They have crests and details that go against "good flag design," which try to make flags as simple as possible for easy identification from a distance, but end up making flags boring. It's like every country threw away their identities and now conform to a template of simple stripes and shapes; they look more like the backgrounds of flags, like unfinished designs.
Japanese flag : The Sun Japanese warflag : "Bitch, I'm shiny" - The Sun Edit : It seems it is a mistake making a joke on a video talking about countries. It turns into politics real fast.
@@firepower7017 I know that other Far Eastern countries are also against the Empire of Japan. But, China accepted the Rising Sun Flag at the observing ceremony, and Southeast Asian countries have not been trapped in the past.
If you don't know what red and blue stands for in The Philippine Flag, I will explain it short. In The Philippine Flag, Red stands for war and blue stands for peace When blue is on the top of the flag that means there is peace, When there is red on the top of the flag that means there is a war. That's how The Philippine Flag works for it. Please remember this if you are a Philippine Person or the Person who doesn't know The Philippine Flag. Have a good day! *Bonus:* The countries that come to The Philippines in the past is Japan, US and Spain! *Maybe those are it lol*
In the Philippines when you raised the flag red during flag ceremony you will be on national news. That is why when I was in 1st grade our school principal stopped us in the middle of singing national anthem. For she noticed that the flag is being raised as red. She had a mini seminar and tell us importance of raising the flag correctly. We had to start over singing the national anthem which was a bomer. And that was how I found out that raising our flag red means war.
Remember when some foreign news network accidentally declared war on the philippines because they showed the red color on the wrong side? That was funny
The Philippine flag is more than a flip. The blue stripe resembles the ocean/seas. Imagine viewing it in a perspective on a beach forest. You'll feel the tranquility, freedom, and happiness.. The red stripe resembles blood which is harder to explain in simple terms. Blood which is emotional. The adrenline you get from fighting endlessly to defend. The love for the country. Blood which is genetic, often meaning fraternity and solidarity. Blood which is the literal blood, depicting your actual life. When you flip the flag, imagine instead of seeing the ocean/sea with your family or peers, it is filled with blood of your own kin or family. it has alot of meaning than just a mere flip of a war flag. We don't use it for any other means other than protect it. So you may have many complains why you can be sued for destroying the philippine flag or wearing it. The philippine flag isn't just a symbol or a mark of territory. It carries the memory of our ancestors.
In Italy we had Venezia Republic, in its flag it had San Marco's lion with open book in peace times and the same lion with closed book and a sword in war times. So impressive.
there were times when I was elementary we raised our flag (Philippines flag) accidentally and the blue part is in the lower part opposite to the red side of the flag 😂 and then our teachers laughed at us 😂. red mean war and blue mean peace.
I remember back in June 12, 2016 Facebook had to issue an apology because their Independence Day greeting was bannered with the Philippine flag flipped. The Philippines was at war with Facebook the whole day.
