Thank you. Glad things are somewhat more stable. Interesting that there is no news from the south of Saim river in Kursk. Reporting from Ukraine posted some not insignificant gains (ca 3 Km) from Kharkiv- the heights above Liptsi. If true that might be promising. Vodiane is troubling- even if Vuhledar is not all that significant, though it’s not insignificant, losing it would be a serious psychological blow to the Ukrainians who have defended it so long and so valiantly.
There are reports that Ukraine is running low on R-27 missiles for the legacy MiG-29's and will be manufactured in the west along with S-300 missiles. This is the solution to producing modern analogues for these Soviet legacy systems. I have heard through sources that the US will be supplying 100 units of Bradley fighting vehicles. This will only replace the combat losses and is insufficient in my opinion. I want my country to supply another 400 units of M2ODS to Ukraine. Over 4500 units are in US inventory in storage. That means the US has only supplied less than 1% of available Bradley's The same is true for Abrams MBT's. I believe there are 3000 plus units sitting in storage. The US in my opinion is not being generous enough its is supply of armor to Ukraine. Please remember that whatever is shipped to Ukraine is being replaced with new up to date units. The US Army is producing its latest model of M1 tank and doesn't need 3000 plus sitting in the desert. Several European nations are training Ukrainian expatriates to be employed in Ukraine. My basic issue is that larger unit training hasn't been addressed. By larger unit training I mean brigade level training. I also have another suggestion. Ukraine could launch a hammer/anvil strike to the northern edge of the Kursk incursion. These pockets will need to be eliminated in sections to where the Russians can't rally their forces against the line of contact. Maneuver to remove the resistance. Russian troops have to know that resistance is futile. If anyone has any comments than please let me know.
I have seen some reports that the West is helping Ukraine to find substitutes for them. Probably possible, but likely not that easy, especially for S-300 missiles. Sweden announced a new package worth 440 million euros. No new CV-90, but contains ammunition for the ones they have. Also preparing for JAS-39 to be handed over at some point, likely not in the coming year. Brigade training is important! At Kursk, difficult to know, information is so limited that I could not really have any opinion, except for the area west of their incursion. If they can eliminate Russian pockets, they likely will. Problem of forces I would guess.
