I'm impressed by the Union team's dedication to historical accuracy when it comes to officers making incredibly questionable judgement calls and having large scores of men cut down by a numerically inferior force.

The sounds of this game are orgasmic. I love these fantastically made historical war games, like Post Scriptum, and this, because the sound design is amazing.

A popular AAA title could never do a game like this without losing players and money. And they shouldn't make one, because they'll end up making it into a run and gun with 10 second reloads and experimental weapons. Anyone who asks EA to make a civil war battlefield game is living in a bubble.

I don't know if its a thing, but it would be cool if at the end of the round there was a map overview that showed troop/line movements.

This game looks awesome in these roleplay scenarios but I'm worried the actual gameplay will just be individual players running off from spawn to fight geurilla style. I want to buy the game but I don't want to be disappointed.

14:02 gave me goosebumps. Massive volley by the Union troops, followed by a response volley from the Confederates. The real thing would have been absolutely terrifying.

We destroyed the union in this battle. Love this game so much... proud to have a part in the development of such a beautiful, realistic, and historically correct game. And also the confederates gave them hell in real life also, even with all odds against them... To the point where they were out of ammo and resorting to simply throwing stones. I'm sure you already know that though ;) Awesome video man.

Now this is an epic engagement :D This Antietam Battle reminds me very well, of a fictional alternate story I created which took place in August of 1864, when the Confederate States of America took another shot at Sharpsburg, Maryland after they succeeded at Gettysburg Pennsylvania in 1863, after 8 days of bloody conflict.

(Details like this is what i'm talking about: 7:34) And this games graphics, as you point out with 150 players with zero lag? This is AAA in my book! I have a few more suggestions however; At 0:04 maybe put a unit flag/banner in one of the cornors of the screen, and play a self-picked-company-theme song, call out the officers, NCOs and unit size, (If they are comfortable with that ofc.) and as time progress, a unit can build up a reputation based on documented battle efficiency. Incressing the hype and encourage epic battle tricks like these; 6:58 which in time could become characteristic for sudden units/commanders. Thus providing an even more epic battle experience for player and viewers alike! Agian Cody, I have watched 2hours and *you are very underrated!* imho. Love your videos!

Thus is the best game I've ever seen. Im a civil war fanatic and have dreamt about a game like this my whole life. I used to play flashpoint, call of duty, and other older software and liked them but lost interest when all that hopping around, bouncing like a mental patient started. I just found this in you tube and can't believe it exists. So cool

This was the best match yet, to hell with that crash, I expected it. Ive watched 3 times, working on an actual War Of Rights playlist trying to find a few videos on Civil War tactics in detailed lessons. Need a 150 man fight in the woods, volume of sustained fire by file at the height of a man. On top of all the foliage, shadows, trees there will be so much smoke.

Seems like fences offer a bit TOO much protection. Plus the union commander was a bit incompetent...I’m not sure why he thought moving a line into the open while opposing incoming fire from a semi-shielded enemy was a decent idea.

As a bee keeper, I really dont recommend forming up a unit right amongst a group of hives.... As an aside, I believe it was in World War One that a unit of British troops was patrolling a rural coastal town in Britain and saw a line of white shapes near the coastal cliff top. Thinking it was related to German landing troops, they opened fire upon them only to realise later that they were bee boxes. The captain, also a fellow bee keeper, compensated the Abby that owned them. It's was all outlined in a documentary about the Buckfast Abby, one of the most world renowned bee breeding facilities.

I want to be a Confederate Flag Bearer in that game.

The civil war was about the south having their rights stripped from them and so the south retaliated by seceding from the union
