It has been several years since I have taken the mighty Ho 229 out for an extended time in Air RB. Does the old girl still have it or has she lost a step? Honestly, the plane is still a lot of fun to fly, but that battle rating has gotten so much faster.

Hopefully in my lifetime, the Ho 229 will be fully restored and I will be able to see it one day in its finished form. Is there an aircraft or tank that you would love to see fully restored?

There's a Churchill Gun Carrier at Bovington that's in a rather poor condition. I'd love to see that thing be restored to running condition.

Have you been to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson in Dayton? Its worth the trip. Go at least 2 days. Sign up for the bus tours to the Presidential planes and the unrestored hanger(s), where the Ho 229 sets. Those 2 tours are at least 1/2 day each. Also, check their upcoming events list if you are thinking of going. There are often days where they have days where aircraft on display are open for cockpit and access groups.

aaah my favorite plane of all time. when I was 9 years old and saw it on the cover for Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe on store shelves I was immediately enchanted. made my dad buy the game, and played the heck out of it. had several model kits of it built and hung in my room. it was such a bummer when the internet finally became enough of a thing to let me learn that I would never get to see one fly in real life, much less cadge a ride-along.

It’s not about that, really- more that they don’t take player feedback seriously, censor people for no good reason at all (sometimes, other times it’s deserved) don’t seem to fix or care about certain problems that have been in the game for years, etc.

I've seen the (remnants) of one of these at the Air Museum in Dc and it was funny because it was one of the only times in my life I've done a double take. They had the wings folded up by the wall and the main body on a rack kind of hidden away in the back.

Irl without the aide of flight controllers making millions of adjustments per half second, the plane would be nearly impossible to fly, and those jet engines had a endurance of 5 hours before needing to be completely rebuilt

The Me 262 was also intended to be able to be fired from a medieval catapult in an emergency (stable af) The grin was a hunter defense... imagine you are chasing the part and as you get closer it starts the grin ;) trust me im a german ;)

This is one of those things where i see what it can do, and then have doubts that it's actually capable of that. The Ho 229 seems like it would not be able to fly sideways at all
