To be fair, the M4A3E8 Sherman did face the T-34-85 during the Korean War in real life. Just explaining why you were facing Cold War era tanks in your Sherman.

So when you get on the side of a tank, you really want to hit the center point of the hull, and for the tiger 2, rear of the turret is usually a one shot kill since all the ammo is stored there, the side skirts kinda mess up your shell otherwise And for front shots, the 76 on the sherman can get through the upper front plate of the tiger 1, and cheeks of the tiger 2p/panther reliably (hope this helps a bit)

Hey SLM, Have you been talking to Phyldaily? He's been calling for a split between WW2 and cold war in the last week.

it's seem to people talking about this and feedback to the dev for many years but still remaining. I see that they clearly, resolutely, don't intend to fix.

FYI that br is going to be painfull I'd suggest a solid light vehicle loadout with the T92 (5 second reload with an ace crew APDS and Cheat FS are consistent 1 shots) the Scorpion and Ontos bonus points for the A2D-1 or any attacker really....your first 7.7 should be the radar SPAA it's literally free RP everygame (bind radar lock).....the ratel and everything in that line is at this br because they are huge targets that can't take small arms fire deal next to no post-pen damage same goes for the one behind it the Concept-3 solid shot is beeech!!

It's really annoying, especially when your Tiger/Jumbo ends up facing things like the IS-3, M-51 and so on. Sometimes, only stupid tanks such as the M109s and other arty tanks at this BR range can deal with those tanks. Of course, don't get me started on the CAS.

Gaijin has been planning to balance BR's for few years so WW2 vehicles wouldn't see that much Cold War era vehicles... but I highly doubt they get it ever done. I am still so pissed for Gaijin screwing M735 ammo based on fake information that got implemented in few hours and still 8+ months no fix has been made...

From what iv Heard, the T34 is NIIIIIIICE. A gift from the snail god to all the American players. All I know is its got BIG GUN and a nice AP shell which supposedly has slightly less pen then it actually should. A nice upgrade over the Pershing. BUT YEAH, I'm sure most of the WT playerbase would love it if Gaijin separated WW2 and the COLD WAR tanks permanently. Then you could have all those epic PERSHING vs KING TIGER tank battles we all want without having ATGMs wizzing into our turrets. Edit: gets even worse at higher BRs too, since you then got COLD WAR TANKS fighting MODERN TANKS, which are better in every possible way.

It’s just hard to balance some of them such as the ratel 90 because it’s just going to do awful at a tier with other tanks from the 1980s

The fact WT still has issues with MM and modern/cold war vs ww2 vehicles in same matches sucks. I quit when jets were shooting me out of the sky while flying early B 17 Models or cold war tanks killing me while grinding early ww2 tanks. Killed the fun playing . Game still looks good though They really should separate the ww2/cold war/modern vehicles

Ive come to find especially when it comes to thw american tech tree low and upper mid tier is fun. Low tier from 1.0 to like 3.7 and mid tier around 6.7 to 7.0. M22 really does work for low tier and its fun being all sneaky like. The americans at mid tier got alot of funny HE slingers and light tanks with heat which are great as well. That said if you are gonna play shermans alot id take up learning weakpoints with the armour viewer. You can set your specific tank and ammo you are using against the tank you wanna shoot to see where you can and cant pen.

Gaijibbles “balances” vehicles by win/loss percentages. So if enough people bombed playing the leopard 2a7, it could fight WW2 vehicles in theory on this game. And the devs do not play this game 😂 obviously

I definitely agree it’s stupid, but is that really that much different from Scharnhorst (commissioned 1939) fighting USS New York (commissioned 1914) in WoWs?

Have you ever had a WT match where you weren't blown up by Tiger II ? Also thanks for suffering through this game for us, seeing this makes me totally not want to play it.

People: Making fun of Gaijin making a Sherman fighting a cold war vehicles. Meanwhile WG: Tier V French 1960s tank fighting a Sherman and a Tiger. While Yamato fighting a 1970s warships.

Ya know.... thats probably the part I hate the most about playing Tanks, when you shoot someone and the shell just does NOTHING/gets absorbed by some BS. Makes me wonder if normal AP shells would be better then the APHE shells sometimes, at least the AP shell might keep going and at least wound the crew. Edit: is it because you got a B29 with a NUKE? that might be crewing up your BR. Cus the BR does take into account your PLANES as well.

I can offer some assistance for your grind.

Start scouting with your light tanks. If you hit V over a vehicle with your binoculars or your gun sight it will mark the vehicle for your teammates and if they then kill it it counts as an assist.

To be completely fair, the game is balanced around the capabilities of the vehicles, not the year they entered service
