I was in my zero flying back to base with one wing i had 11 secs of fuel left my teamate was being attack i had to conserve my altittude to make it back. I feel so bad for not being able to help
That guy had no idea how to properly fly a BF109 to change the course of action. He had a lot of energy but he preferred to waste it away by keeping his nose down after his short dive for hunt which gave you a brief window for a shot opportunity. If i were him, i would go for a 45-60 degree climb, maintain my altitude until i gain a BNZ advantage and hunt you from above. You were at a low altitude with mediocre speed and energy so i doubt you could keep up with a high energy BNZ 109 . In my honest opinion, 109s are the most powerful when they are in experienced hands but they can also be the quite opposite when you fly them like a Spitfire. Amazing video by the way, you surely are a skilled pilot.
@Moonman ϟϟ you gotta be smoking crack to call that thing the king of cas. It is trash. Post pen sucks, overall damage output per second sucks, me262 climb sucks and it has no other gun than a shitty 50mm. Me410 w the 30mms is way way way better. arado is better cas. I might even take a bf110 over a 50mm 262.

There's the relative speed aspect where you are going towards the shots, so the relative range is lower for him than for you. I'd still say 50 cals outrange what the BV has even from behind.

Best 4.3 plane in game. The problem is it really depends on teammates. This is not a good solo fighter. Btw. Roll left and right in front of a 109g2 is a terrible idea. If the guy behind you throttle back and pull up for second shot, you will doomed. You win the loop battle because you damaged hellcats engine. Soo lucky. Also really confused, why you have to attacked the 238 from above? You attacked 162 from below. 238 defense fire is very weak from below because the 20mm cannons are on the top. Why not do the same thing?
Throttling back doesn't slow you fast enough to prevent an overshoot, the best thing he can do is stay full power and go up after the pass. I don't think I damaged the Hellcat's engine, just his oil. I prefer high speed passes, going up from below slows you down and eventually you'll be in the line of fire of a lot of gunners. The last bomber seemed to have less turrets and also I had to kill him quickly before tickets ran out.
That was a good match! Do you use the advanced mouse controls or something similar? I'm still pretty new to proper dogfighting in the game so I'm wondering if that's what the pros use.

@@AdamTheEnginerd rudder is complete garbage.. just like the F4U4 makes high speed passes really tricky... and lets say you slow down, well, 109's and spits etc outturn you when you bleed and are dead in the water..

The new time limit PLUS all the ticket bleed from groundpounders really limits the amount of fun or solo play carries that can happen in air rb now. its kinda sad :(
Yeah, carried today with 4 frags in D-13 (it was 6v6 match and other two dudes crashed while ground pounding), but got a loss cuz our tickets ran out before the game started bleeding enemies tickets for losing all their planes. And this was a game with 150% booster. I have never gotten Gaijined so hard) I think that with this time limits and with this amount of ticket bleeding due to ground pounders, it would be wise not to substract tickets when one ground unit kills the other one. If course, in this case there will be situations when there's no ground units for one of the teams and it still has tickets, but if one team gets low on ground units due to them killing each other, some reinforcements can show up on either side, so that ground pounders always have units to kill. In this case, you will still have a chance to win, even if you are IL-2 and you are 1v1 vs, say, a 109, and enemy team is low on tickets. But instead of sitting at AF and waiting for time/tickets to run out, you would have to play actively and come up with some sort of plan which would let you get to ground units without being killed. And that would also equalize the situation when there are two pure fighters left 1v1. They would have to engage each other in order to win, while now, if it is a 109 vs a Spitfire and Allies are low on tickets, most 109s will just run until time/tickets run out
Kinda crazy that this thing is at 4.3 when it's just a straight upgrade over the other P-51Ds. The D-30 literally just gets 3" boost over the D-10 yet sits 0.7 higher. I wish this plane was still sold. I really want to get it. Also at 5:45 when you pull the reversal, if that 109 had gone for a vertical loop what could you have done against it?
Yeah, given that this is a premium as well, it shouldn't be more than 0.3 away from D30. Hmm I would have followed it up to force him to complete the loop, even though I wouldn't get the shot unless he just went straight up. Then it would have been a looping fight, and eventually I think I'd come out on top.
If nothing has changed since the last time I did it, the D-10 can be gifted from someone who already has it. Source: done it myself for three friends, but it has been a while since the last time, so I don't know if anything has changed since then.

Watching your attack runs on the BV238 reminded me of my Yak 9U vs B17 fight a few days ago. Quite satisfying if done properly. Edit: The M.B.162 has Hispano 404's with a moderate cone of fire to the rear, very inaccurate and small mags but good effect on target if you hit. It's one of the fastest climbing and most pleasant bombers to fly, like a 264 with the fat trimmed off.
That planes gives me nightmares, idk how to counter it, there's alwyas like 5 of them when i go in my 109, they're the only planes that shoot me down when im in my 109, for some reason other planes aren't that annoying like spits and P-47s

Second best engine out of all the Dstangs. The D-30 with the best tuned engine giving 75" of manifold pressure with WEP, The D-10 Gives 72" inches at WEP.
@@charlesbukowski9836 Wildcat turns pretty tight compared to significantly higher BR aircraft like the Ki84 though. In a sustained fight I think the Ki84 comes out on top, but if the F4F gets the drop on you he'll stick on you long enough to kill you.

I've been playing using Japanese J2W2 and team with American, most of my teammate are using US plane but, most of them die quicker than I do. I play at 1AM - 5 AM East Asia, and it should be Evening there in America, but US player are bunch of braindead player, I don't know why. But when I play at 1 PM - 5 PM East Asia, the US player is soo good and OP. What kind of Meta is this??

P-51D-10 is good, it’s the second best P-51D behind the P-51D-30. I’ll take the 106 more HP the D-30’s engine produces over the D-10’s higher ammo load of 200 rounds.
Adam can you teach me how to play, im level 26 ive play at arround 4.3 and 5.3 german, i really wanna be good at this game but its difficult, watching tutorial is not enough for me, i need someone who can teach me and play with me
It's a steep learning curve for everyone, there aren't many shortcuts apart from watching what good players do on RU-vid. I can't give you a personal class though haha.

When you dodge all those head-ons, is it impossible for enemy to hit you or they are really bad? Also when you go from side to side, is it also impossible to hit you or was that 109 really bad?
It's never impossible to hit anyone, but your goal is to make it harder for enemies to hit you. But also missing doesn't make a player really bad. A majority of players are close to average, and that's who you'll typically face in matches.
Fantastic video. I'm sure you've been asked this before but why not tracers on the late war 50 cals? I was under the impression the M20 round is the one to go for and maybe would have helped convert some of those hits/crits to kills? You obviously know your stuff so I'm interested to hear your thoughts!
2:30 why dont you zoom in.. your aim is soo bad there and its soo easily avoided. generally your shooting style is kinda too "accurate and proud" so you miss a lot of kills.
I can't stand with that stupid US Japan combo anymore, that's the main reason I gave up WW2 planes in Warthunder... The stupid matchmaking just ruined WW2 air battles, it is almost impossilbe to use my USN and FAA fighters against IJN fighters in pacific war maps now
I wish I had more guys like you on my US teams - or atleast some of them watched this.. Or had a brain... Most games are just sad.. Going for bombers first, derping... Never climb, turn fight Zeroes with P-47s etc... Just sad.
I create a model of the plane and calculate the rate of climb at every speed. You should check out my rate of climb videos for more information. It gives the optimal speed for energy generation for that particular aircraft. There exist an optimal IAS to climb at for every aircraft.

@ I take WT aircraft coefficients, use test flight to get the prop efficiency as a function of speed, and then calculate the climb rate for any speed I want.

Hey Adam, how can I fight against p51 as soviets? I feel that I can't fight them in high altitudes, because there they are better at everything, but if I stay low they will boom n zoom and energy fight me until I die. So what should I do?
@@AdamTheEnginerd Yak or La, but generally if I climb a lot with, for example, a yak 3, I will perform way worse at 7000 meters, don't know how to win.

Learnt so much from your videos man, made me 4x as good as I was, keep up the great work!
9:45 - Is your game lagging? Do you have this issue often? I can't play now because of it. Game lag can last 2 seconds and i can even crash. It often happens when i shoot to enemy.
@@AdamTheEnginerd The issue is that around half of american pilot's don't sideclimb and get donked by everything that can actually climb (Germans, Brits, Italians and Soviets) Then the Japanese players (that are in a serious minority) just can't win against a team that's just... Well, above them.
GJ ! Pas mal d'erreurs en face mais aussi pas mal de "close call" de ton côté ^^ 0:35 donc un légèrement meilleur D-5 au même BR ? je prend ! (cette vitesse en piqué léger) Pareil pour le D-20 j'imagine. Je ne sais même pas qu'elles sont les différences entre les 2 :D Jamais vu cette carte en RB mais, vu sa topographie, on pourrait penser que les joueurs voudraient éviter les dogfights à basse altitude (avec toutes ces montagnes) ... et pourtant tout le monde était en train de faire exactement cela dès le début de ce match XD Le pauvre Hellcat (ce brave Hellcat !) qui se fait uptier et qui doit affronter un monstre de vitesse. Le P-36 aurait effectivement peut-être pu distraire le Hellcat et survivre le plus longtemps possible pour gêner un des 2 adversaires et te faciliter la tâche ... mais la plupart des joueurs ne réfléchissent pas vraiment à leur rôle dans une situation donnée (ce qu'ils peuvent faire pour leur équipe), ils sont trop occupés à penser à leur score, à vouloir tout faire tout seul pour faire des points et grind plus vite (greedy simpletons).
Merci! D10 a une augmentation de puissance significative comparé au D5, c'est plus proche d'un D30 que d'un D5. Ouais c'était mon premier et seul match sur cette carte. Je ne suis personnellement pas tant fan de ce genre de relief, mais bon. En effet, et c'est à quoi je m'attends de la plupart des joueurs, mais c'est bien de montrer ce qu'il aurait du faire au lieu.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Ah bon ? Il me semblait que le D10 avait le même moteur que le D5 (tout comme le D20). Une carte de plus pour Chine vs Japon est pour moi une bonne chose vu que ça ajoute un peu de variété mais depuis qu'ils ont balancé le seul point historique restant "Axe vs Alliés" aux oubliettes, j'imagine que ça ne compte plus ^^

@@AdamTheEnginerd it’s a great plane to practice trigger discipline in. Gotta save ammo. If you successfully hit most of your shots you have enough ammo to kill easily 5 aircraft if your successful. I’m switching to keyboard and mouse right now so I’m flying heavy planes for the extra ammo currently lol.
