Based on the missiles the F-15J has I'd say is an eqrly 1990s plane About the fly-by-wire only the F-15 Advanced Eagle (variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle) and F-15EX Eagle II seem to have it Using the 9M is pointless having the AAM-3, with the same range but having higher overload The airfield rocketin' players usually use Phantom Es or now also the F-111, which are more effective due to the huge rocket load compared to the planes found on higher BRs and there's also less deadly planes compared to toptier 8:30 F-15EX Eagle II with up to 10 AIM-9X and 12 AIM-120D or AIM-260 JATM for a total of 22 AAMs, and for ground attack 2 AGM-158 JASSM 10:05 the wing mounted drop tanks are dropped together because of the weight of having 600 US gal in a single wing The order should have been the following: MiG-25 - F-14 - F-15 - F-16 - MiG-29 - Su-27. Not sure if anyone’s commented this yet, but you were having a hard time lining up your radar because you were banking in knife flight. The F16 was below you and when your plane was sideways your radar was indicating that it was to your left or right depending on which side of your plane was lower. Once you leveled out, it swapped sides meaning you over shot it with your turn. I’ve learned to make small banked adjustments then level out and make frequent radar checks to see how much farther off my nose the enemy is. Your radar works in a side to side, linear pattern and doesn’t take altitude into account. When your plane is sideways, so is your radar. Hopefully that made sense haha.

2:56 i think the plane was struggling due to the amount of drag from the tanks. Idk what it is but it absolutely destroys performance that high up

No F-15 until the QA/EX has had FBW. They had a hydro-mechanical system

My understanding is that the J-model has a stability augmentation system like the C-model, but not a true FBW system. But Don't quote me on that as gospel.

When struggling to align the target, it's because you're not accounting for roll angle/altitude. You roll, the radar rolls, perspective rolls

The f15 C doesn’t have FBW

Best thing to do is fly on Afghanistan. There, things aren’t as manueverable, missiles are deadlier, and most importantly the terrain makes it difficult to fly very low. Much better pacing and less like call of duty
