War Thunder - T95 "The Doom(ed) Turtle..." 

I think it's safe to say some of us can relate to having days like this in War Thunder. On a serious note, we have been getting quite frustrated with the lack of a high fire rate Anti Air for the U.S. Line up in the 4.0 to 8.0 Range. I am hoping one day they add the rest of the U.S. Anti Air systems, LAV-25 with the autocannons, the Avenger, or the numerous World War 2 Solutions including the Sherman Anti-Air "The Skink" as an event vehicle. There are numerous options, just something to be more competitive across the Battle Ratings. To be honest, I think I saw an Arado stop at a McDonalds, get lunch, ate it, and then bombed me.

only two things can happen when playing a doom turtle; 1. you become an almighty god that stops at nothing or 2. you spend half the battle getting into position only to have your barrel broken and tank bombed.

5 minutes in and this video is nothing but pain. Also "Here we go, my barrel's out~" is the average War Thunder mood

The Doom Turtle is more known as the Doomed Turtle because of how often the enemy goes for the barrel and causes it to be inoperable

Even though the turtle was doomed from the start, your guys' banter made it a great video to watch. Thank you Bo, Stick, Red, and Sturms for this great video. Please don't stop doing this sort of stuff, ever.

PE8 is the perfect example of whats wrong with CAS in ground forces realistic. Yesterday I had a late spawn, just got past the few seconds of spawn protection and got taken out by one. Ridiculous, the game had literally just started. Sure CAS belongs, but it is stupidly over performing, both in a historical sense (WW2 - Korea Vietnam era especially, just look at Bismark's video about it) and also in a gameplay/balance point of view. Everything else in this game is artificially "balanced" except air. Maps like Fire arc, Fulda and Maginot, you spend so much time in a driving simulator just trying to get top the fight, the whole time just being a very open target to the aerial fun police. No point adding more SPAA.. 1... the implementation in the game is that SPAA is far more effective against ground vehicles, very few at lower to mid tiers actually use it against air, And 2... more than one plane up with half a brain between them then SPAA has little chance. As you try to take one out, the others (and half the ground vehicles around) just use your tracers to pinpoint you and take you out. Honestly can't blame the players who get straight into a plane in "ground forces" (AKA CAS Simulator), racking up points is so easy, and I find the air battles mode really boring.

6:46 The tracks and cars could hold him (at least union pacific can)! It's just a matter of taking off the outer tracks (it's designed to be able to do this quickly specifically for rail transport) so that it can fit on a standard flatcar.

Any slow and armored tank in this game can be summarized with "They took my barrel!".

When I watch matches like this and see the repair time for like. Half of the video, I feel like complaining less about world of tanks 😂

After playing as the turtle for some time I’ve very quickly found out that your main weapon as a T95 is your 1 50 cal on top. Nobody will ever understand how much it has saved my life from all types of hostiles

Barrel-shooting is the lamest tactic in War Thunder and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Fun fact, T95 is actually a T28. The T28 is actually so heavy it requires double tracks to get around the field. The tracks can be removed for Transportation.

remember when T95 only flaw was the slow crawl to the battlefield. But when you got there, you dominated. I can't drive it anymore, just airplane strikes and barrel damage every god dam time. Good video but this hurts to watch.

no one lets the doom turtle have fun ;( They always shot the barrel I had one round where I lost my barrel 8 times its really lame. makes it feel like like the tank is a waste of time because you already need like 10 minutes to get to the battle then you spend the rest of the game repairing your barrel

the T-95 was one of those really annoying tanks for me. I honestly think the most effective I ever was with it was not even fighting, just using it as a mobile shield for my team.

Everyone fears the Doom Turtle, but as always, I appreciate that I know both sides of the spectrum when it comes to playing tanks I don't own and tanks I have yet to own, thanks to Bo and his comrades. It's a great plane, really, and I'd love to see you guys fly it after the episode you did all those years ago.
