Basically things are going from bad to worse for Ukraine, everything East of the Dnieper seems realistic for Russia especially since Ukraine committed it's last reserves into the Kursk region for what seems like no reason.

2024 all these offensives and victories and attrition wouldn't have happened had the Ukrainians cancelled their offensive like they were told to do so back in 2023.

And in 2023 the Russian army had only 300,000 soldiers on the front while the Ukrainian army had over a million soldiers in Ukraine! Today the Russian army has over 500,000 soldiers on the front and the Ukrainian army has about 800,000 soldiers!

Why are the Ukrainians not digging more trenches? The Russian Surovikin lines are massive compared to theirs.

The Surovikin line was built by proper engineering units who are well trained in the construction of trenches and fortified bunkers, Ukraine had that from 2014 to 2022 that was mostly NATO, that's all gone now they can barely dig trenches anymore.

I have no idea where these battles are taking place relative to the larger Ukranian and Russian borders. Close ups are good to show tactical changes within limited spaces, but I have no idea where along the border it occurs and how it affects the overall war.
