I believe they will add in an extra slot on down the road to have 5 favorite characters instead of 4 plus its good to see blizzard getting out their comfort zone and bringing news things to WoW.
as a person with too many alts, I'm really looking forward to this system. I do hope they change the inability to collect other class sets though, soloing certain raids with certain classes can be a pain
Thats what i had thought that system would be when they originally announced it Way less excited for that system if we still cant get other class mogs :(
I really hope they change the tier set must be collected on that class. Because its so frustating to run a raid time and time again on one class only to run it on an alt of different class to see the piece you need drop
@@97ladymuse For you and anyone else who finds this video before WW launches: the devs went back a bit on this and tier set TOKENS will now be warbound. This makes legacy farming a bit easier.
Interesting. I was sat here like "yeah that makes sense, class sets are different". I personally quite enjoying "going shopping" on my different alts for different sets, and this would turbocharge past a point I'm comfortable with. But I'm probably in the minority there.

I think they will actualy fix this in further alpha / beta. Notice the class in “red” on that item, but it still has “Not yet collected” in light blue under the item card. And maybe we can put them in the warband bank, for the alts to pick it up. It’s an early state of the game so calm down a little
do you know by chance my friend, if an alliance is from a different server, i see i cannot manually join, but, can i be invited by them? we are having an issue, wondering if they are being truthful, they are telling us it is not possible. but that really doesnt make sense, how can they be in our warband, but we cannot merge at all? can we, am i being lied to?
beyond stupid is an understatement i would say, like wtf? Maybe they are trying to remove gold from the game, like i.e introduction of the gold-sink mounts? Can't understand their thinking sometimes at all
The last two tabs are specifically gold sinks that wouldn’t have otherwise been made available. The warband bank is designed as a means for sharing crafting mats. That much gold is nothing to a crafter.

Not really, seeing as the amount of gold you get for quests and selling items and such goes up with every expansion. Also, your warband bank doesn't replace your personal bank or guild bank. If you really need 4 or 5 more tabs to store things amongst 5+ toons, then you have a hoarding problem and need to clean out your banks.
Adding all the classes in the game into the appearance tab is going to be a massive quality of life change. I'm a huge tmog collector and I'm constantly logging between characters to check raid sets etc. I cannot wait for this change.
When they first announced them i thought we were going to be able to create an actual warband (party) and do dungeons and stuff with our alts. How cool would that be?
I think they went wit the clean design to avoid any clipping with the VAST variety of transmog that might affect a Character sitting, standing, moving etc.
As someone who has reached the 50 character max on my account (all level 70 with so much time on them over 20 years) this is the absolute best feature of the entire expansion.

The achievement that increases your xp gains once you hit max level on a character is exactly what I've been asking for since I started. It's what heirloom gear should have always been. Amazing feature, easily one of the best things for altoholics ever added.
I hope they add a garrison like region where your characters can interact and do different professions with out having to switch characters. Like I could walk up to my enchanter and get access to his enchanting/disenchanting abilities.
The older WoW gets the more things I wish and suggest (in detail) are implemented into the game. I always suggest such things in the wow forum and received so much hate and backfire for it but whenever it gets released people love it. Can't wait for warbands.
as I understand you. If you are familiar with the Warhammer universe, there is such a game - Total War Warhammer 2. I specifically studied how to create mods. created a new game mode - you don’t just need to destroy all factions to win, but capture territories and hold them while receiving victory points(+VP for control/-VP if not). the entire tabletop Warhammer Age of Sigmar is built on such mechanics. I created several game scenarios. but players told me that this is not total war. modders did not participate in the project. after 2 years went by. The 3rd version of the game TWW3 has been released. to which the developers added such a mode. Now these people have opened their mouths and don’t know what to say. as Osho said in Asmongold's video - people are stupid.
God This is a total god sent, all the features here are stuff I've really wanted to get in here, and with presuming the pre-patch, this can come to fruition! Thank you blizz!
I hope they still work on the screen. The one they showed on blizzcon was much better imo. What I think would also be nice and would add flair to it, would be that you can choose your char on the screen. And maybe they do zoom in on it or the char gets ready.
The main 4 characters I tend to focus on ar a DK/Druid/Hunter/Mage so they just happen to be one of each armour class so getting mogs and stuff should be GREAT, warbands and WW in general looking hype
The way they set up the warbands favorites, makes me wonder if they will incorporate your alts for delves or solo dungeons with ai Allies. Heck, why not call a favorite warband buddy while you’re out in the world soloing quests, dailies, or resource farming. That way, you always have a buddy with you.

I have a lot of alts, so I love the XP bonus for each max level character... Maybe The War Within will be the expansion that I finally manage to get every class to max level. 😅
Super hyped for Warband! But i dont understand why the reagent bank isn't warbanded by default and why old school class tier sets aren't "transmoggable" by your other alts...
I don't mind running a raid multiple times to get specific class sets but I always found it sad when while doing so something neat dropped that I couldn't equip with my current character and it just went to waste so it's nice that this won't be the case anymore!
Great, about time accounts are finally seen as "A player" not 20 per server! I have had a server based bank for years, Get a nice guild charter get it signed add a friend or family member invite all your alts then let every signer gquit and do the same for your family member and they also have a server/faction bank.
Yea I did this. lol. And it's just about filled most of the time lulz. but then again I have 25 characters that utilize the bank( horde and alliance of each class on same server, used to not be like that, but the dicks at blizz banned my main account for language)
You can have a max of 60 characters account wide with no server limit. They got rid of server character limits a while ago. They've probably been moving towards this for a long time.
I want to be able to customize the camp my characters are in and unlock different backgrounds. For example, should be able to unlock blood elf themed camp items and flags and a silvermoon background through a questline/challenge/rep with the different silvermoon reputations like the city, sunreavers wrath, sunreavers mop, etc. Also would be cool to display a favorite mount or 2
I know most people are super psyched but I’m wondering if there are altoholics who are a little nervous about the overwhelming amount of stuff that will get lumped together
It shouldn't be too hard to make older content from raids in the same system as everything else, it seems they just have to change the tag from soulbound to warband bound. I hope they do that, because when this was first announced everyone's immediate thought was that it would make it so much easier to collect classic raid transmogs.
SWTOR has had this system for 13 years, the Legacy system, but they were smart enough to keep the bank limited to server since I can see with the account wide gold in Warbands you'll see some server economies crash as player consolidate their gold all onto one server and crash the markets.
That is unlikely to happen. Much more significant changes have been made to cross-server economy, including cross server trading, cross server auction houses etc. In every instance people have been doomsaying about how it will crash markets. None of that occurred. Account wide gold will certainly be the least impactful of these changes, there is almost no possibility that markets will be significantly affected by this. For anyone that studied economics, you would also know that expanding the market and increasing liquidity almost invariably improves the health of the market.

Do we know if the collecting appearances of weapons and armor for other classes will be retroactive? For example if I have a bow on my paladin sitting in my bank can I get its appearance or do I have to get a fresh drop of that bow?
10:00 Honestly with Blizzard planning to continue, WoW had over the years so many really good mechanics and things, all usually discontinued. Some things where discontinued with the next expansions, some stayed a few expansions and then got dropped. The bad stuff, like the Mission Tables... for some reason kept clinging around.
I mean, there’s some nice quality of life stuff, but I am still having trouble feeling hyped for this expansion. This stuff just feels small and it doesn’t really feel like the “warband” is anything more than branding on just making unlocks account wide.
Warbands are something im really looking forward too, but i do hope they lower the bank prices because damn that seems abit much even if its account wide
Kinda wish the reageant bank would just be fully shared and infinite, not just that you can have the shared tabs, and most currencies would be fully shared as well.
I just hope they will add different environments for the character select. It would be cool if they had one with your 4 characters sitting at a bar in a tavern
Pretty well got my warband thought out! Just need one more toon.. Pally my main with BS/Mining, Shaman with JC, Lock with Enchant/Tailoring. I can' think of my last class with what profession.
MONK or Druid TWO of the best classes to farm with. Monk with the Ox totem aoe taunts mobs, and Druid with the flight farm with mining and herb in till you gather enough points to unlock herb/mining without being dismounted off your dragonriding mount. Druid would be my alch/herb sense potions/vials are always needed throughout the expansion and a decent money maker at the beginning of the season due to the race to world first guilds will buy it no matter the price cause well they're loaded with gold and don't have time to farm
I wonder can you make different tabs(like templates) with your favourites characters or you stuck with one and you always have to toss in/out characters manually?
I really hope they add all characters' current reps together for the new warband rep total, and that they don't just use the highest current rep on the account as the new warband rep. For example, if you had 5 characters at renown 5 with the Niffen now, it'd add them to 20 after; instead of Blizz just saying "you had _a_ 5, so now your whole account is 5, even though you earned 1 through 5 multiple times already" Since doing the second way effectively deletes rep you've already earned.
I'm sorry, but this math aint mathing. Renown 20 takes way more exp than just 4 characters getting to renown 5 lol. It scales per level. You also conveniently left out the part where renown gain on your alt is already boosted by 100% - 200% when your main reaches certain thresholds. If you want an easy way out for not grinding reps, what you're hoping for definitely isn't gonna happen, so don't get your hopes up. Plus it's legacy content, if your renown level is still in the dumpster, I doubt you actually care about those renown levels when the new expansion comes.
This might be a small, silly gripe, but I feel like you should be able to have five characters in your Warband camp at the selection screen. Everything so far seems to show four. At least let me assemble a little dungeon group.
So all of my characters across my entire account will benefit from the warband, even if they aren't in the warband? Or do I need to pick my top 4 favorite toons and just stick with those?
Would be nice if they update the character list into multiple groups of four, along with a group for four favorites, so if you would like to keep your characters in the same order as you’ve always had them, once you select your fifth character it just puts the next four in the camp. Instead of sliding characters into a favorites list, it would be nice to just toggle them on and off and maybe slide their position within the favorites list only without affecting the actual order. I’m probably just weird, but it would drive me crazy to have my character list going out of order to add them to a group of favorites. Lol
