Willie Taggart was bad, but he was never 1-4 bad. Hell I don't think he would be 1-4 with this team currently. This is all on Mike in his coaches and players.

Need to add an OC and revamp position coaches. Its gonna be atleast a whole other year with MN. After that, if we STILL SUCK! He’s on the outside

The face mask was the final straw in that game. The Morlock pick-assist was the most baffling. Mike is feeling the pressure and coaching like it. Sad. Always next season 🍢

I've suspected for a long time Norvel was not a good coach for this FSU team. He lacks toughness and grit and his team is a mirror reflection of him. He skated by these past few years with a good record but if your look closely most of the wins of the past few years were not dominating wins. I am not sure where FSU goes from here but I have zero confidence in Norvel and his staff getting this team to perform at a high level.

Those 2 goal line calls with DJ running off tackle will end up being the worst 2 calls ever at FSU! Norvell may never recover from those 2 calls. I could not believe he called that 2nd play. Question is: What did Norvell see that none of the rest of us saw that made him make that 2nd call? It's like he thinks DJ is the incredible hulk out there who can do anything he wants?? Huh, what DJ is he seeing?? Boy, Norvell looks flabbergasted like he has no idea what team he is coaching. Yikes! Maybe Group of 5 was his coaching ceiling after all??

I keep hearing people say “this is the worst since Willie Taggart.” No. This is worse. This FSU team is averaging 13.7 ppg vs BC, GT, Memphis, Cal and SMU (not Clemson, UF, Bama, etc.). When Willie was fired in 2018 for reference, his offense averaged 21.9 ppg…Willie’s offense is a full touchdown and 2 point conversion better than the current one. We went from the best team in the ACC to the laughing stock of the nation in 6 games. If Mike doesn’t fire a lot of these coaches this year (who also can’t recruit), then I’m not sure I’ll watch this team for a while. Loyalty only counts when the product is decent. I’m an FSU alumni and I’ve been watching for 30 years. This is the worst team I’ve ever seen FSU put on a field

It isn't all DR'S fault but it all started with DJ. If the vets/seniors are the one making the mistakes then play the young kids and let them make the mistakes at least they can grow. Should be obvious but Norvell is blind

FINALLY. Corey is starting to come around to see what I've been saying. This is not a well-coached team, that is clear as day. The only real difference at this point between Norvell and Taggart is that Norvell was able to sell his vision and string together something special. But it took the perfect mixture of players, the perfect QB, and some really good luck. Taggart never got that lucky. Otherwise, there is really no difference in evident football IQ between "lethal simplicity" and "CLIMB" and "work" guy. It was Mike Norvell who lost to Jacksonville State. It's been (and still is) Mike Norvell who makes buffoonish 4th down decisions and destroys his own team's momentum (there are too many to list, but you know the ones I'm talking about) Until he proves otherwise, Norvell is NOT a good football coach because all evidence shows who and what he is. He's reckless. He's regularly out-coached. He coaches like he's playing Tecmo Bowl, and his strategy relies WAY TOO MUCH ON HOPE: Hoping his guys will execute, hoping his 3 schools in 3 years QB is magically going to put it all together (because his other transfer QBs have worked out so well), and until he shows otherwise, he's clearlly out of his depth at FSU. If you're honest with yourself, you saw the signs last year. That team was just so well-put-together that they could make lemonade out of lemons and literally will themselves to all those wins, but that team, despite going undefeated, didn't pass the eye test. You know it. I know it. The college football playoff committee knew it too.

This program has turned into a dumpster fire. Norvell has lost this team. If Brock or Luke aren’t better than this clown behind center, this program is in real trouble. Lord knows this staff can’t recruit and I think we’ve answered the question now about living out of the portal. In some respects, what we are watching is worse than the Taggart era.

I think the defense isn’t that bad. Could be a possible top 25 defense if we didn’t have the worst offense in college football history.

This is a rudderless ship. Poor discipline in every phase. QB not effective and one of the worst runners I have ever seen. Lines are terrible. Secondary gets gassed. Receivers can catch the ball. In college ball you have to build the team through recruiting and then you fill the holes with the portal. Now recruits are decommiting, the players that they have are already starting filling out their portal paperwork. Norvell got lucky with a great group of portal players who decided to stay for 2 years. Just thought he could do it again. DJ is just non chalant. He is going through the motions. Rather than put his head down and go for it, or leave the ground, he basically laid down when it was not there. Every player knows that this is heading to 3 - 9 and are planning where they are going to play next year. Think this year bad, watch out for 2025, going to be bad. But OC needs to go, but if Norvell calling the single wing plays, you need the athlete at QB to call that system.

You can't take just any fat guy and call him an offensive lineman. When DBs are trying to cover receivers they have to turn their head around to locate the ball otherwise they're just escorting the player to the end zone. When someone is running toward the end zone they can't just stand there and wait for the back to run into their arms. Bad evaluation, bad development. Sometimes coaching just won't get it done.

We've been outcoached basically in every game u can see it busts in the secondary now in game 5 and on offense Norville is failing this team

The snub broke Norvell. It's like being a doctor and having a successful, tough heart transplant surgery and the patient gets killed by a bus as soon as he leaves the hospital.

Norvell can’t recruit or develop taggart had him beat there all that team he had last two years was not on the account of his coaching but off the talent if those guys

If Norvell gets blown out to Miami and UF, the gloves are going to come off worse than Taggart, and the calls for his job will be loud.

Never in the 33 years ive been a fan woud have thought FSU would be this bad. This roster isnt 1-4 bad so it has to be the coaching. MN lost his safety net in Jordan Travis and this is the result. Its unbearable and embarrassing to watch. It looks like 90% of this team has given up on this coaching staff and juat there to collect their nil money. IN YEAR 5!!!

2 years of Jordan Travis 1 year of Deondre Francois That’s all we’ve had at QB in 10 years. Tate rodemaker was 3-5 15 yards 2 picks and got benched at southern miss Aj Duffy is a backup at San Diego state Brock Glenn was awful last year and will be awful going forward probably at north Texas or something. Chubba purdy was 3rd string at Nebraska behind JEFF SIMS, and HENRICH HAARBURG. And is now “playing” at Nevada DJ is basically Big Ben if he was afraid of contact and inaccurate. James Blackman was 6’6 130 pounds and would be one of the worst fsu QB’s of all time if these other ppl didn’t exist. McKenzie Milton- was great (at ucf. he had 1 good drive as member of fsu. We lost that game btw.) Alex hornibrook- literally had to muster up everything in his power to throw the ball 20 yards. Got ran out of town by Jack Coan. We have been running out MAC conference level QB’s for the majority of the decade. Now we have one throwing to a D2 tight end. My eyes have seen so much 💩 at QB for this program I should be paid Mike’s salary to be a fan. We might not ever be back to being relevant. There’s 0 hope

I have been rooting for, attending for, and supporting FSU since 1982. This is the worst FSU team I've ever seen. I still believe in Norvell, but I think he's lost this team and this season. He needs to bench DJ and play younger players to develop for the future.
