In the rules under “allocating damage” it states under the first bullet point that, “damage points are allocated one at a time”, meaning that the Huanchi reaction (a disengage) takes place after the first point of damage is allocated. So, as long as a member of the warband has a reaction left, they can only take 1 damage from melee.
can you explain to me how this works? the way I'm understanding the interaction is that they swing once, you bonus action dip out of melee and now the second attack can't hit them because they're out of range, but the whole of the first attack has to resolve before that happens. So if the first attack does 4 damage and they're at 4 health, they just turn to paste. The issue I think most people are having is they're just too soft to survive that first attack, just look at the Jade Obelisk warband swinging into them "that's 8 damage he's dead, that guy did 12 in one attack my leader is dead, the ranged guy just killed the guy who charged him on the crackback" its atrocious at some points.
Ok they seemed very fragile with a few interesting but useless tools in the toolbox when looking at the stats cards... seems that it translate directly to the game board.
So yeah, Stealth and Stone goes down in the books as a very poor Bespoke warband vs experience. Huanchi definitly needs some Saurus meat in the way of the enemies
I would like to keep playing Warcry cause i like alot of the models, but the game feels stupidly imbalanced. So even if its narratively good...i just cant get over the imbalance.
It can be but these missions seem more so. Usually when you deal out the mission and twist if it’s all over you can just talk it out and redraw it. If you have to play it through at least its not a long game 😂
Those lil fellas really need a rebalance. They are worthless in such a swingy game like warcry. They don't stand a chance with a killy victory or aggressive twist.
