First time doing voiceovers selecting video, let me know in the comments if this is a good way to make and post videos, and if this is better than just talking in the video
@@fearlesspreacts6028this job is not easy. i tried it 4 years ago in my early 20's (before my baby) i couldn't mentally bring myself to WANT to be there. if you don't want to be there you will do HORRIBLE. but i had my daughter and had an opportunity to do it again, i work with my baby mommas dad now and im doing better. week 2 picking 70% im going up every day as i learn the warehouse. i have something to motivate me now + im ashamed i didnt succeed the first time. it's all about drive and wanting to work
Easy money and time flies and plus bonus Your daily percentage will be different from weekly percentage. He makes it sound easy, but it’s not easy once you join union you have to get hundred percent every single order. It sucks but good pay I guess.
Been at my warehouse for a few months now and I can say, knowing your orders is big money. Working in the freezer and getting Applebee’s, I used to hate it. Now I think okay easy 120 or 130 (harder to hit those 150/160s in my worehouse) and that’s not even running. Can be good money but you’ll fs hate the first couple months of that learning curve 🤣
I work for Walmart dc. I make 2 months in like a week, def felt it for the first week or two but then it gets easier! Just stick it you will do better ! Also the pay is what will keep you ! Trust me you will understand when u get this type of job lol 😅😊
My warehouse has been screwing me over. I’m about as fast as you and my number always cuts out at 87… conveniently just below the number to get incentive pay…
I think the system is rigged, at my warehouse I ran a 100 on my very first pass, probably 160-170 cases with no shorts, and about 75% of the shit was "zoned" correctly, most of the guys at our warehouse will laugh at you if you zone stack, but it was a NICE 100%, and then my manager comes and tells me that I'm only supposed to be at a 55% for my first 2 weeks 🤷. So I still run and bust ass, and no matter what I do I've never been able to get back to that 100. I can get 80s 90s but that 100 is the max. I think once they know how one person runs, they can fudge the "performance metric" to suit what they can get out of you. I can be running a 68% but be throwing 2x the cases as somebody running a 97%.... it just doesn't seem fair that I can move over 2x the cases out the door to be shipped and get a lower % than somebody who does less work 🤷
Time management and pace yourself throughout the day! Don’t tire yourself out running the first 2 hours. Where i work i wait till i get to the door to finish my order.
Hi! I am a supply chain student at cornell and would love to have a zoom call with you and learn from your experience. I'll need only 30-45 minutes of your time. Please let me know if I can book an appointment with you
What system you guys use? My warehouse just changed over to "blue yonder" just trying to find info on commands to ask the headset while picking. Mainly how much time an assignment is given
Please train me bro 😢. I’m selecting at Gordon food service with 130% but I’m running and by the end my percentage drops. Please make more videos on how to have a high percentage and tips on stacking
My advice start strong for the first 4 or 5 orders then after that keep a consistent steady pace . Anytime you catch your self slowing down somewhere throughout the day make up that time .
did over 12 years of that shit, most of it in produce and meats. i preferred picking over the reach truck. after bout 6 years i was loading two days a week and janitorial one day. kills your body forever
aye bro question , i applied for the order selector but the company name is different but its linked with sysco im confused ,even when i hit apply from the indeed website it took me to the sysco website
Where and how to apply to get work as warehouse order selector at Sysco in Fargo ND? The post is showing online but doesn’t go through when applying for that
I haven’t come across those since I started years ago and I forgot wat I did nowadays I jus make sure I always lift properly and don’t strain my lower bacc and never carry cases more then a 12 step

Love your vids They helped me a lot especially being a female selector. Been selecting at US Foods for about 6 months now. It helps to know that I don’t have to sprint every batch. But it’s demoralizing seeing people run all night and my body just isn’t able to keep that pace all night. Right now I’m stuck at 85% weekly average rate and can’t get past that. Do you have any advice on what I could possibly be doing wrong? Also how do you recover after all the heavy lifting? My body hurts all the time lol
lol the body hurting thing is suppose to stop after a while but if your body still hurts daily then your over working yourself, there some pills I take that ease my body after a heavy week, but at this point I really don’t be sore because the way I select in my vids is really smooth n not very damaging to my body.. The 85 percent thing there could be a lot of things your doing that if you cut out your percent would skyrocket.. since I can’t see you select n tell you ima just guess 😂 maybe you’re spending too much time at one location, you may be move cases around a lot, you may be don’t have a consistent pace, meaning start fast finish slow start slow finish fast. It’s a multitude of things.
There was a woman at my Sysco that was running 160%.Try to remember 2-3 slots at the same time cuz looking down all the time kill your time. Park next to the slots specially if you have a bulk pick.
Question how do you handle the fish batches? Somebody told me to just tab enter the whole batch and pick it up later and get started on a bigger batch but what do you do?
I would allergic so I get took off of that but when I used to struggle through it and do it, I would just go get it. I can’t have it because they asked for catch weight. It’s really no big difference cabinet or going to get it if you wanna make sure you get the right product And don’t get I will go get it tabbin really isn’t that big of a deal
Salute to you my brother. Youve really made me want to get on this. Ive always wanted to start making vids an giving tips to people but was slight nervous to start making vids. If you would like can we exchange info. Ive picked at us foods an plenty of other warehouses. But ive got a few vids i wanna show you. I love criticism an wanna see where i can get better.
Do i need to get referenced to get in??? Ive applied twice, got an interview the first time but didnt get selected, but the position is still open. I meet all yhe requirements and pallet jack experience. How did you get in??
We were working 14-16 hours a night and it was definitely mandatory. Stay cranked up on the Rockstar fruit puch, and don't fall asleep on your pallet jack 👍
Very interesting video especially when I am going in for an interview for this specific type of job at Sysco Order Selector. Good to know this ahead of time.
Do they make you nervous or push you out or you will be working independently all night and don't matter timing as long as you will finish the assigned orders for you to pick?
how long did you take you to get to that level? how many cases were you pulling in your first nights when you started. i did 500 my first full night lol @@Orderselector
Um to be able to do it at the level n pace I present in these videos about a year n half but to jus hit percentage jus a couple month but I was piccin thousands my first couple months
