i have some other stuff i wanna try but i do wanna see trickster work with the idea of the first build i think you could do that and swap out the acher for trickster and do some kinda mage or sorcerer / trickster and cast longer lasting spells like the tornado, swap to trickster and do trickster shenanigans
I'm running Duospear, Daggers, and Magick bow. I've maxed out ALL my vocations before using it so I have access to everything I could ever need. I keep a regular bow in my inventory in case I need to use an unmaking arrow. I tend to start in Duospear, and for bosses I'll use daggers because Skull Splitter is fucking busted, and when I can't reach enemies or for group ranged damage I'll use my magick bow, like when drakes fly up and stay up there. My pawn is a Warrior with aggro pulling skills and good defense/knockdown potential. I also have a friend's unkillable healer pawn and a rando's archer pawn. Warfarer is my favorite vocation because it feels like playing fantasy Devil May Cry, which is appropriate because that series is also directed by Itsuno.
I've been running Mystic Spearhand and regular archer. I haven't developed Magick Archer enough to be comfortable with it but you've given me something to think about.
My level 112 Warfarer is mostly Magic Archer/mystic spearhands. Skills equipped....frost hunter bolt. Ricochet hunter and mirror shield. I also have daggers staff and arch staff.
I broke the game last night... 3 sorc pawns and warfarer myself... 100% uptime on MSH and mage bubbles negates all damage and doesn't stagger sorcs making all casts go off. Killed 5 bosses last night taking ZERO damage lol. My 3rd skill is mage silence... Very situationally useful.
I run Duospear/Archistaff/Magick Bow on my Warfarer, using Seeking Storm, Augural Flare, and Recovery Bolt. Plenty of damage from Augural Flare as well as galvanize and levitate, melee ability with duospear and seeking storm, and ranged attacks and healing with magick bow, letting me forego a mage in favor of another damage or tank pawn. Also I can change it up whenever I want in the field from a camp, it's nuts.
My warfarer build is just discount dd1 magick archer Daggers because scarlet kisses is insane damage Magick bow because its great damage Skills stagittate avalanche because its insane for damage and staggering Recovery arrow for healing and ranged pawn rezzing Ricochet hunter for in cave mob clear The augments i use is zeal for the reduced stamina consumption Enduramce for increases max stamina Lethality for increased damage on vitals which ive notice also helps with staggering Subtlety to help with not being targeted Dominance to further increase staggering power And sagacity to increase magic which is a great buff for magic bow and enchanted daggers
People go hard on these wierd ways to get Newt Licquer.... you guys know you can just craft it right? Its just like Fruit Juice and Saurian Tails combined....
It's fruit wine and saurian tails and fruit wine is surprisingly hard to get. As far as I know you only get it from some NPCs with high affinity and I only had 1, literaly 1 fruit wine in my entire first playthrough
You can make forgery of fruit wine. Sven sent one to my house after completing his quest, made a forgery, then crafted. The last liquor you can get on the way on the Magick Archer quest.
For harder enemies, Sorcerer opens with augural flare, then switch to thief and skull splitter the area you set the flare = godly. For normal enemies, use the other skill slot to be the thief's smoke shroud as you can spam triangle and kill all of these in one or a few hits. So effective and fun to play!
I actually main tank. So I'm using trickster to buff pawns atk. Then use MHS shield then divine defense and it's pretty good. If I wanna nuke I swap to agural flare. I keep sword and shield equipped so keep that block and Parry play style.
my warfarer is set up for exploration.I have two weapons for fighting Magic archer bow and twin spear, then snake daggers for chest location and staff/wand for levitate. trickster augment to find seeker tokens and the rest kinda just help support the rest of that. Recovery arrow for keeping the pawns up. and the other two skills get swapped around at a camp site depending on the situation im planning on facing.
Running Magick Archer and Thief has easily been the most fun for me so far.The utility off the frost bolt and the damage off skull splitter + draw and quarter has trivialized a lot of the boss fights for me. Still so excited about all the other combos I haven't tried yet tho!
Mystic Spearhand and Magic archer is so fun. I also keep a staff on hand to levitate when needed. Warfarer is the best class ever. I almost don't miss Mystic Knight.
Trickster's clone dissapearing when you change weapon makes sense since it's a core skill, not a weapon skill. However, you can use the trickster's buff with magick archer and mystic spearhand to become the ultimate support while your team of 3 cracked up pawn deal all the damage.
Another good combo is what I like to call the Blitz Tank, where you can combo Thief With Warrior, allowing you to dodge as thief then immediately switch back to Barbarian for a harsh hit however the bread and butter of this combo is you can parry via Masterful Kill and have the enemy vulnerable on the ground from the knock back then hit them with a max strength charged attack like indomitable Lash or use a windstorm slash combo dealing major damage as they’re in a weakened state. You can also use Bellow to Agro the enemy to set up the Parry but tbh all ya need is the barbarian skill that increases the likelihood of being targeted so you can trade it off with any thief or Barbarian skill you want to use aside from those 2 like Ensare for Aerial enemy coverage and to launch enemies towards you like scorpion for a killing blow or gorging lunge for traversal and steamrolling through any enemy in your path.
i was looking for a good combo with warriors- I think I'll try this. Warrior is my class fantasy, but it lacks too much versatility and mobility to be my favorite class.
My warfare set up is magic spear, magic archer, thief and mage. Skills from magic spear I use the mirror shield , thief I use the helm splitter, Sagittarius avalanche from the magic archer, the mage staff is use to levitate to reach high locations.
The first time I heard of the Warfarer Vocation I thought that you get 3 weapon skills with every equipped. So you'd give up one weapon skill to gain 3 new ones on any other weapon you have equipped. It was one of my complaints that 4 weapon skills especially for a Mage and a Sorcerer are just not enough, since part of the Mage/Sorcerer fantasy is being equipped with the right spell for every situation. Only having 4 skills and one of them being taken away by the weapon swap skill is pretty disappointing and kind of dumb. Would it be op to have access to the entirety of all vocations at all times, a little on the high end, but the game isn't challenging anyway and it's singleplayer, so who cares. Let people have fun...
On PC there is a mod that let's you put 3 skills + rearmament for every saparate weapon. It makes warfarer completely broken but hey that's what I expected after getting it last. Well before using the mod I had most fun with just recreating strider with thief + archer
On XBOX controller you can LB< then RB thrice to get to the weapons menu in 1 second… rearmement is moot I wish they had done more of a DMC or platinum gamesstyle where Rearmerment was a CORE SKILL unlocked that just has you INSTNATLY SWAP BY DOING THE MOVE of the equipped weapon. With the slight gold magic flourish that shows when you rearm Sorta like in DMC5 you press the pistol button and the character just anim cancels into shooting buttery smooth. So you can have 4 weapons and 4 skills and just press LB+A and you do Heavenward Sunder. LB+B and you use deathly Areow, LB+Y to skull split and LB+X for mirror shoeld or w/e 4 skills on however many weaps!
I've been running bow and great sword. Dwarven upgrade heavy armor gives you almost as much stagger resist as warrior. But the perk of having a bow and explosive arrows makes this a better warrior than warrior
My Warfarer build is Mystic Spear (The Mirror Shield to be invincible) Thief (Skull splitter for obvious reasons) Trickster (with the advanced buff pawn skill) and My main pawn as a Fighter, a Mage with Celestial Paen for 100% stamina uptime and a Sorcerer with Maelstorm and Meteron Everything we come across gets turned to Mc Donald’s French fries
It's a good thing I could buy the three Newt Liqueurs from from that Higg's Tavern guy. I actually found three Newt Liqueurs from other locations, but brought each one to Lamond on three separate visits. If you give them to him this way, you don't unlock the Warfarer vocation. You have to give him three at once.
I hate the fact that they didnt make it so that we could have different weapon skill loadouts for each weapon we equip. The fact that they refused to let us be a lore accurate arisen just killed any joy i would've had with this vocation as well as any possibility of me playing as it.
Awesome vid mate was wondering about job switching & glad to see how awesome & versatile they made this game. I hope the mod community can make it even more fleshed out
1. Rearmament 2. Thief with Skull Splitter 3. Sorcerer with Flare (Flare + Skull Splitter combo) 4. Then add Archer as the third weapon with any skill you want from it while using the Medusa’s Bow is well worth it for farming EXP (400%). You get 30k+ exp from Dragons and Griffins
There’s also newt liquor in a chest in a room if you travel from the Battahl jail to the palace starting from the end of the corridor to the left if you are looking at the cell with the young thief in it
Well I’ve never been worried about meta but I run feste from mystic, magick bow down rain for pesky flyers and theif and rearm. I like dashing when needed and I can switch seem less with practice now. Daggers can be fun and Feste is great counter skill especially in groups or trying to get to weak spots quickly. This just makes me feel a true all rounder I’ve thought about running sorc/mage to run melee/magic/bow so I could float when needed but the best utility skill is bubble but I’m trying to at least make things challenging. Also tempted to run both bows just for fun and running a normal sword no shield for fashion. (The real endgame)
I run thief daggers and archer cause I still need to unlock mystic archer, and mystic spearhand for the shield and that's it. Skull splitter for big damage. Been an easy run. Want to switch archer to MA though.
I really enjoy archer but you can’t beat levitate from mage/sorcerer for exploration. So I’ve just been using warfarer to mainly play as an archer, then switching to the staff whenever I need to heal, cure an ailment, or levitate. I don’t care for the slow pace of the archer meister ability anyways so I didn’t feel like I was sacrificing much. Switched my main pawn from mage to sorcerer and it’s been a great pairing.
Same! Im doing archer and magic archer to have one special magic move (heal shot or ricochet) and magic auto attack to swap to with the magic bow. Then have staff on not hotswap but switch via inventory to levitate for better sniping and exploration. Plus I can make the coolest elf ranger with both archer and magic archer armor plus all other outfits mix and matches.
Thief+Ranger = Strider. Magic Archer + Thief or Sorc = DDDA Magic Archer. At least thats what I am hoping, having just unlocked Wayfarer and needing to level up some early Thief levels.
I literally just still play magic Archer. I just removed my ability to send out a healing revive arrow and I don't use my ultimate which is okay cuz the ultimate was sitting on my bar for dire situations anyways so it was kind of like a skill just sitting there taking up a slot so it got replaced with rearmament and my other three skills are magic archer skills. My second weapon is only a wand so I can float and reach places I want to reach and I have it on demand heal. Overall, I have less magic attack than a magic archer, but I have more defenses so it works out.
I run thief most of time, smoke grenade OP, then sorc and Magick archer, add mage only if exploring for levitate. Golems are a pain for magic dmg so thief makes quick work making warferer so good. Ran just Magick archer took forever to take down Golem waiting on a fighter and a warrior pawn.
You don't need Higg's tavern for the Newt Liqueur. You get one from the dwarf, one from the guy close to flamebearer palace entrance and one from combining fruit wine you get from Brant with a saurian tail.
The only reason I use wayfarer is so I can have a staff on me to get chests. Otherwise I just play it as spearhand being he doesn't need his ultimate skills to shine. Get invincible, stamina drain, and gap closer. Then keep a bow on you for harpies. Otherwise I would just play thief.
Not to be a grammar nazi (because the vid is really cool) , but the word “equippeded” doesn’t exist and for some reason a few RU-vidrs use it. You “equip” an item, an item is “equipped” on you or you had an item “equipped” there is no equippeded…
I'm a fighter main, so, my basic normal attack is with my sword and shield. I have 2 fighter skills and 1 range skill. Not sure to make my range weapon as a Ranger or MA.
Is there a mod that makes the weapon skill automatically equip that weapon instead of having to cycle via rearmament? Then you can ditch that POS "ultimate skill"
I can't unlock the warfarer - I placed the sacks in the pen and was attacked by guards and defeated and set to the gaol. Later I came to the same vendor and he said the same sentence about escorting the guest, but no cutscene was triggered. The upstairs section is guarded by a guard and locked. I can't go inside. I REALLY want to unlock the warfarer but I think it's bugged. Dont know what to do
You have to wear the beastren mask BEFORE you put the sack in the pen. You can also craft the liquor, and then use the forgery to duplicate it multiple times
Wait, you can just take out rearmament, replace that with any skill, and still be able to switch weapons in the equipment menu? That changes everything for me, I just assumed you have to have that skill, to switch weapons. So rearmament is basically useless then.
They level at a lower rate. Warfarer gets 50% of the discipline points and the other nine skills share the other 50%. Let’s say you kill an enemy and get 200 DCP. Warfarer gets 100 DCP and your other 9 vocation split the other 100 DCP and get 11 DCP each. They’re going to level up at a much lower rate than Warfarer.
The problem with Warfarer is it limits you to much. Any class on its own is stronger to run since there's no diversity with synergies between classes. Also switching weapons just feels bad.
I run literally everything how or why? You can get every element under your weps and do constant damage literally every second you are playing instead of waiting on cool downs or stuff being out of your reach. Skills aromatics, the flair and any other skills you really like or know how to use. Lol and no if you place your weps right you won't be swapping for ages to reach a wep. Lastly if you know how to play every vocation you can't get place un a compromise
Frosthunter bolts with the magick archer (because lets be real the only challenge in this game are dragons and that skill melts them), explosive arrow from the archer (usually 2 shot everything else) and either pilfer to steal&farm drake crystals or skull splitter IF the enemy is to tough. Having the bow for ranged weakspot, a melee physical weapon for downed enemies and magick arrow for magick only killable enemies makes the game super smooth. Also a mage staff for freebies healing ofc.
my warfarer build Warrior greatsword charged strike up to knock down boss Sorcerer Staff aurgural flame then switch to magick archer with multiple lightning bolts hit to the flame one shots bosses
